Hi Guys,
As a new poster let me do a quick intro. Please call me Mac, I use my PDA for work and pleasure and never go anywhere without it. On my 4th PDA now XDAIIi, also have XDAII and Tosh e740. I migrated from the darkside and have a Sony palm in a cupboard somewhere.
I know that HTC have a repair centre in Milton Keynes but I think they only support their partners, O2, Orange etc. It may be worth a call though if you can find the number.

If you purchased your phone from any where other than T-mobile directly then you have to take it back to the reseller (as been told by T-mobile themselves).
I've actually had to return my JAM; purchased it on upgrade from T-mobile agent; when i took it back, they had to negotiate with T-mobile to allow the device to be repaired by them.
In the end all I had to do is take the JAM to my local Authorised T-Mobile outlet and gave them the necessary details and they took it away (this was first negotiated between the place i purchased the JAM and the authorised T-mobile outlet).

I-Mate UK Service Centers

Hi,
Has anyone ever dealt with these people? I have been trying now for 2 days to get hold of them to get my JJ repaired.
They arent answering Telephone, the phone number given in the message is hard to make out and every connetation i have figured is a dead number. I faxed and emailed even and no reply.
So do I hand over my phone to someone i cant even get a hold of?!
Where else can i send my JJ for repair?
Cheers
Stot

Ohhh..
My MDA Compact is much stronger.
I think it is not possible repair it by waranty.
Try to call to I-mate directly or speak with customer service at www.clubimate.com
I know expansys have had thiers repaired there - there must be a secret backdoor! I would ask I-mate if they have another number for them.
I realise that its not a warranty repair, but its probly cheaper than the £650 i paid for it.

Interesting.
So i called the HTC service center. And they were happy to take it for repair until i mentioned it was an I-Mate.
Aparently the motherboard in the different devices are different and they cant touch them.
Back to the drawing board.. Maybe id be best off sending it to spain or something.

Qtek 9100, IMEI numbers and the warranty**potential problem

I bought my Qtek 9100 from an electronics store in London, they get them from a company called SmartDevices (also a UK company).
To start off with, I tried to register my phone (via the IMEI number) at qtek.nl, qtek.nu, qtek.se, and any other qtek site I could find that allows you to register, but was told by all of them that my IMEI number is not valid. I thought this was odd, and I have seen a few more posts where people have said they were told the same thing.
I also was concerned by a few posts that the 2-year warranty doesn't seem to have a phone number or company to call when the phone needs repair. Well, I carefully read every word of the warranty and found that I am to contact a company called Teleservices at the website www.teleservices.com. They are the authorized Qtek service center for my warranty. I emailed them to make sure they were in fact my service center. I even quoted the line in the warranty that says they are the service center. They responded and told me that they are a Dangaard Service Center only for the Qtek phones distributed by Dangaard and that my IMEI number is NOT a Dangaard phone. They admitted that was confusing because why would my warranty card give me their information if my phone's IMEI is not one of theirs. I was then asked if I had bought a refurbished phone that had had the motherboard replaced (because that would have changed the IMEI number). I called the shop I bought it from and they told me they only deal in new, not 2nd hand phones.
It seems that the majority of the Qtek sites are Brightpoint which is the other Qtek distributor besides Dangaard. This could pose a serious problem for many people who are finding that their IMEI numbers are not Brightpoint and they aren't Dangaard, then who? And why would the warranty cards give wrong information.
I have a feeling that my 2-year warranty is void.
Intresting story which I will follow but 1) Contact Qtek directly - see what they say 2) Your covered by 12 months min any way by law how ever you need to take that up with where you bought it and 3) There is always Trading Standards... but it sounds like its the supplier that has the problem not the shop where you bought it.... may be they have other more legal options they can bring to bear.

There isnt acutally any way to contact Qtek directly. Their websites are acutally fronts for either Dangaard or Brightpoint. Both of which are the service centres/distributors themselves.

Click to collapse
Then take it up with the store... if no go Trading Standards for false advertising...

My Wizard needs service/warranty claim

Does anyone know where I can send my Qtek 9100 for a service in the US? Heck, I even try to contact the service center in Europe but they did not respond to me. I tried to go to the seller at eBay where I purchased this from but he is not too responsive either.
My Qtek 9100 has a dead bluetooth and I think it's just a matter of replacing the bluetooth hardware (if that's even possible) and this phone should be as good as new. The Warranty card in the box says I have 24 months... but don't know where to claim that warranty. sad..
Any helps or hints would be greatly appreciated. Especially if you know any service center/agent locally here in Los Angeles, California.
Thanks.

Help! Where can i get my Qtek 9100 repaired in North America?

My second hand Qtek 9100 has a problem today... the screen shows nothing but a blank white, the phone still working tho just can't see anything on the screen. ... have to get it repaired. I am living in Vancouver, Canada and no local store can help me repair that.. Does anybody here know a repair service provider in North America? Thanks a lot!
I am having the same problem
Hi there:
I am also from Vancouver and I am having the same problem. I am waiting to hear back from Cingular wireless who is directing me to HTC to see where I can send my Cingular 8125 for repair.
Did you try contacting your Phone/service provider? If your phone is less than a year old, they are suppose to fix it for free.
Beside that you can try http://pocketpctechs.com/main~unit~Qtek_9100-513~area~repairs~action~updateunit.htm
They are located in California.
