Can somebody be fair to say in which condition they succeed to make it work with XDA II / QTEK 2020. I have tried to install widcomm stack as explained in other thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=11729&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0
But with 2.2 or 2.06 rom I only get not enough memory when I try to start it.
So which version of Rom, Radio and Extend can be used with widcomm BT stack. and does it really work with HD ipaq BT Headhones ?
Thank you
i dont believe that any of the bluetooth stacks support a2dp which is as far as i know required to get stereo sound to such a headset
Ipaq Bluetooth headphones does work with XDAII
I have made it worked with XDAII, but you have to use either Widcomm stack version 1.0.0.3500 or 1.5.0.2000.
My ROM version is 1.72, Radio 1.17 and my own Customized Ext. ROM. I did try it with 2.2 ROM but the BT stack is a bit unstable (every now and then it reported not enough memory, especially when you have lots of thing loaded on Today screen) so I downgraded back to 1.72.
I also had this headphone worked with PC using IVT Bluesoleil stack.
Thank you I will try to downgrade again to 1.72. rom.
Is it possible to post me the complete reg modification I am not sure that in the thread wher I got the widcomm stack http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=11729&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0
it is a complete and I expect to be the reason of the memory trouble ?
Another fact is that I am using a french version of 1.72 ??
Thanks for any help
The complete reg modification is on this page:

Cheers,
I finally succeed to install the widcomm stack with Stero Profile . The way I used is :
1) Remove [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Services\BTIcon]
2) Remove [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Bluetooth\Transports\BuiltIn\3]
3) Reset
4) install "Broadcom Widcomm 1.5.0.0801 PPC.cab" which is somewhere in the forum
5) copy all the files of Widcomm 1.5.0.200 in windows directory
6) Install Platformxxx.reg
7) reset
8) Install "Broadcom Corporation BT-PPC AV.cab" included in the file I found in the forum in "Broadcom Corporation BT-PPC AV.zip"
And now I can pair and use HP BT stereo Headphones whitout anyproblem on any version of the Rom.....
Just buttons of the headphones are not working is it the same for all ?
and Headset profile doesn't work anymore whith my BT Headset.
I will try with my BT GPS and BT Stowaway Keyoard and Mouse.

I just got an O2 XDA II and I have tried the built in file explorer to beam (send) files via BT and IR..
However, I also installed Resco Explorer 2003 v5.11 but when I hold my tap on a file and go to 'Send to', there is no option to send it via Bluetooth..
Am i doing something wrong here?
I have also read that some people are using the widcom stack instead of the MS stack.. Being an iPaq user before, it seems that the widcom stack is really more functional but i am still afraid to change my BT stack because of the issues i have read..
Thanks for any help!
janellej,
taga BNC ka ba? hehehe, anyways, about your query.. try turning on the bluetooth before using RESCO to send VIA bluetooth.....
about the WIDCOM, try contacting DCS... he's very helpful and he uses WIDCOM stack.
I am using MS stack, since i dont encounter problems with it.... btw i have the i-mate ROM 1.72 from WAXX, RADIO 1.17, and ExtROM 1.72.181Z (My own ROM from various sources hehehe)
If you need more help, just holler!
I want to use my Magician as a wireless modem over bluetooth with my laptop, but it isn't working... Now I use both windows and bluesoleil stack on my device.
With windows stack I try to use Wireless Modem utility, but without success (I can't see DUN profile on my device with laptop)... In a bluesoleil stack I was trying to select different COM ports in DUN preferences but without success too...
What can I do with this trouble?
P.S. Sorry for my bad english.
Did you use the A2DP extension patch for your MS Stack? If so, the Modem isn't available there. You need the original stack for the modem to work.
Yes. I'm using it.
I'll try to restore original state (but I feel it's a bit problematic...)
Yes. The only one solution to restore original stack was a hard reset. For now DUN is working correctly. Many thanx.
Hi everybody
Some posts ago I asked questions to find right parameters to connect with my BT 77 bluetooth GPS.
Using VisualGPSce I finally found COM5/38400 as parameters to connect with. Knowing that, I used Via Michelin 4.4 with those parameters and wait ...
Some minutes later I obtained the satellits signals in the GPS test screen of ViaMichelin but after that ViaMichelin got frozen.
I'm near the goal but something is missing.
Thanks for your help.
Appareil QTEK 2020
ROM 1.72.02FRA
RADIO : 1.14.00
PROTOCOLE : 1337.24
EXTROM : 1.72.603
Bluetooth driver Microsoft or Widcomm
I'ts me again
I tried to replace the Microsoft drivers by the Widcomm ones with a .cab found on the net.
1 : Delete of key HKLM\Services\BTIcon to uninstall Microsoft drivers
2 : Install of BluetoothGPS.cab to install Widcomm drivers
It has been great during one hour.
Via Michelin 4.4 was OK with my GPS BT77 on port 7
After that I got "Bttray : "the BT radio failed to turn on due to insufficient driver memory available" and "BTTrayCE BT could not be correctly initialized".
Of course memory is actualy not concerned.
Then it has been impossible to turn bluetooth ON without obtain the message "BTTrayCE BT could not be correctly initialized"
I think the .cab to install Widcomm was not good because during installation I got messages about the fact that e-PocketSetup was not a valid official version.
Is it possible to find a good installation for Widcomm drivers (or others) for Windows CE 2003 ?
The problem is this Microsoft driver for Bluetooth.
How to find another one ?
Thanks
Hallo,
sorry for my bad English, i'm from germany.
My XDA-II has crashed and i must flash a new rom.
Bevore the PDA crashed, it runs fine with WM2005-german, Widcomm BT-Stack, Navigon 5. The PDA was connectet with a BT-Headset and a BT-GPS-Mouse with TMC from GNS.
After the Crash i have flash a new ROM, WM6.1-German with 32MB Storage, 32MB Ramdisk, 64MB for Programs. It works fine! The Problem is the MS-BT-Stack. With this Stack i can't use my GPS-Mouse. So i have changed the Stack to the Broadcom Stack. But there is to low Memory, i cant start it.
So i have downgrade to WM2005. Its a german Version. An now the next Problem, i have loosed my widcomm-BT-Stack for WM2005. Helmis-BT-Stack for Himalya WM2k5 is to big. There is enough Memory. And all Links to Buzzdev, with other Versions not work.
I search a widcomm BT-Stack Version 1.5 or 1.6. with install Instruction
Can anybody help me
Thanks
For a running project we moved from old HP PDAs to new HTC "Touch 2" smartphones. But unfortunately the bluetooth stack preinstalled on these devices isn't accepted by Labview Mobile applications, and the Widcomm stack in Labview is not compatible with this phone.
I did the following procedure to try and get the program working:
Labview BT stack
Hard reset of device
Turn on bluetooth, set to discoverable
Via LabView/Project Manager/ Windows Mobile 6 Device/ Install / "Support for Widcomm Bluetooth" install BT support on PDA, accept install on PDA.
Soft reset PDA, after reset the message "'BTTrayCE' is not a valid Pocket PC Application" is shown, and it's not possible to turn on BT.
By removing "BtCoreIf.dll" & "BtSdkCE30.dll" from the /Windows dir on the PDA, and soft reset, BT will turn on again.
Start Labview application (StimCom CRE_PDA.exe)
Select 'Search for BT devices'
StimCom CRE_PDA.exe will crash, and WM asks for error reporting
notes: method above installs Widcomm stack for Windows mobile version 3. The program is listed on the PDA as "NI Labview Pocket PC Bluetooth support 7.1". Uninstalling this program from the 'remove programs' will fail.
On the clean HTC image "BtSdkCE50.dll" and "BtSdkCE30.dll" are present in the Windows directory, so I assume that both v3 and v5 of the Widcomm stack are allready installed.
This leads to the conclusion that Widcomm v3 stack is needed, but the one provided with Labview is not compatible to this system, and the version present on the device is not compatible with Labview.
(v4 doesn't exist)
Step 1 till 3 are enough to get the Labview program running on a Sony Erricson Eperia with "Jack v5.0" WM6.5 firmware (the same BT hardware?) and on a HTC Touch with a Dutch WM 6.0.
According to http://zone.ni.com/reference/en-XX/help/372508B-01/lvpdagsm/pda_install_widcomm/ when both the "BtSdkCE30.dll" and "BtSdkCE50.dll" are already present, you must only copy LVBtw.dll into the Windows folder of the device. I tried that as well, but the program still crashed as soon as you try the bluetooth connection.
I also tried to copy "BtCoreIf.dll" & "BtSdkCE30.dll" from the /Windows dir of a Xperia WM6.5 (Custom firmware "Jack v5.0" (International English) because that device also had WM6.5 and the program worked fine on that device. But on the HTC Touch 2 it gave the "'BTTrayCE' is not a valid Pocket PC Application" error.
The same error is given when I try to install the Widcomm stack for x51v ( http://www.mobilitysite.com/boards/...widcomm-axim-x50v-x51v-state-development.html ), and the same error is given if I copy these files from the Broadcomm SDK (BTWCE-1_7_1_5201-SDK.zip)
Firmware of the HTC Touch2 NLD:
R 3.48.25.27
G 61.41t.25.31H
D 1.28.66092
Any suggestions on how to fix the problems with the BT stack?
(install custom firmware is not an option, due to legal issues)
Thanks in advance.
(the question is also asked in the NI developers zone: http://forums.ni.com/t5/LabVIEW/Err...ocket-PC-Application-quot/m-p/1272414#M531155 upto now no answers have been given)
