Hey People
I have just brought an MDA Compact and Microsoft Voice Command. Is it possible to remote dial from a bluetooth headset (i have the Jabra 250). I wanted to know if a headset profile was availbale and if the bluetooth stack would support it.
Thanks for any help
Unfortunately, it's not supported Sounds idiotic, since Motorola MPX with the same BT stack has this feature implemented

Is there a way or a program that wan dial via my ericsson HBH-65 bluetooth headset? I mean i want to give voice commands via the bluetooth headset, not the mic of the XDA II. Please help
At this time, voice-dialing is not supported through the BT headset.
Sorry.
do you know if it is going to be supported in the near future?
I do not think anyone knows for sure when it will be supported.
It will require at a minimum a BT stack that recognizes the headset button push as the initiator of the voice-recognition software. MS and Fonix both have voice-command software with programable activation keys, but the connection will have to be made for the BT headset buttons. It does not seem extremely difficult, considering the functionality that Towa has already added in his Pocket Bluetooth tools, but we're just not there yet.
So . . . the short answer to your question is, No.
It must be fairly easy to add because i can dial the last number i dialed just by pressing the answer/end key on my Jabra BT300, so the XDAII is detecting the button being pressed over bluetooth
The XDA II is great, but the Microsoft bluetooth stack is almost useless. Why HTC didn't go with the excellent Widcomm stack is beyond me. Except that Microsoft's may be free while you have to pay royalties for the Widcomm stack. But you get what you pay for
Hi, can anyone confirm if the i-mate JAM model supports the BT 'handsfree' profile as well as the 'headset' profile?
I need 'handsfree' to use the built-in BT in my car.
Thanks very much for any help.

Hi all,
Few weeks ago I read in this forum, but I forgot whether is there any solution for above mention subject.
Is there any bluetooth that support Voice command? Or any bluetooth headset v1.2 is compatible with it?
Say that I like to have bluetooth headset that I need to press the button to call, to get appointment, etc just by say it to the headset.
This would be great as you have personal assistance

Hi,
I think it was me who posted the message but I still am looking for a peice of software for the MDA Compact that allows voice commands through my HBH600 - anyone?
Thanks
Msuk
As far as i know, this is not supported by the MS Stack used by the magician.
I don't get it. Everyone was saying that the Widcomm/Broadcom stack was no good for Voice Command, and now we've got Microsoft and their own stack is still no good.
So, who's manufacturing a stack that actually works?
I hear that the ETEN M-series (500, 600, perhaps earlier) works with Voice Command over the BT headset, so what stack are they using?
That the best thing I have ever heard, to be able to just push the button on the head set to give Voice command a request instead of pulling the phone out of your pocket all the time would be great.
Hi,
I used to be able to issue voice commands for my contacts when I had a SE P900. Also the callers name was announced in the BT and using my voice I could say 'Answer' or 'busy' why cant the MDA Compact be able to do this? MDA Compact get some many things right but gets a whole load of other functionality totally wrong :-(
Thanks
Msuk
Check this out...
Someone over at HowardForums.com's Pocket PC forum was able to tell me that the Eten M500 Pocket PC Phone Edition uses the Microsoft Bluetooth stack (although "enriched" or modified) and they apparently can use Voice Command over the Bluetooth headset, and even activate it by pushing the action button on the headset!
http://www.howardforums.com/forumdisplay.php?f=181 ... See "My new Eten M500" thread.
So, I'm asking anyone who's got the Extended ROM to upload it or post it somewhere so we can take a closer look!
Thanks people.
Anyone have o2 mini and Motorolla HS-850 bluetooth handsfree?
This handsfree is bluetooth v1.2. I am wondering if I can use this bluetooth for above purpose. Not perfect maybe, but at least I can get caller id readed by voice command better than sony HBH-660 caller id display.
Anyone with HS-850 please comment.
Thank you in advance.

Hi ,
I know many guys are intesting use VC through bluetooth headset. I found that it can be done in HP6315. Original there is only hands-free/Headset profile for bluetoothn in 6315, the Widcomm BT version is 1.0.0build 3701, the all sounds is from phone to BT headset, the VC dial can be down through BT headset. But the MP3 quality is very poor.
I just upgrade the Widcomm driver to 1.6.0.700, there have another "High quality Audio"profile, so you can use stero BT headset to listen MP3. The quality is good. So if we use SE HBH-ds970 BT headst, we can listen good MP3 and also can dial the number through VC use HBH-ds970. It is very convenience to get both function. When you launch VC, the phone will connect BT handset, the sound is transfer to headset, you can say the number or others instruction by BT headset, when you finish it, the connection between 6315 and BT headset will automatic be active. It will not lost the battery of headset.
Here the question is I 'd like do it in 6515 since I need the mini keyboard and GPS function. 6515 already have "High quality Audio" and "Handsfree/Headset" profile, you can listen good quality music and also can call/answer the calling through BT headset. But it can not use VC, the VC sound is always from phone.
I check the Reg file of them, its are almost same. Unfortunately, I do not have knowledge of Reg file and widcomm stack, can some expert can help me on this?
Thanks in advance!

lxy
