Hi,
I'm new to the group, I have a harrier cdma on verizon. I have some questions about the device.
1) Is there a way to get to the date and time info send by the switch ??
2) Is there an interface for the gpsOne chip. I want to read the gps info from the phone.
3) does anyone know if qualcom is providing the gps/packet/cdma chip ?? Which part number ??
cheers,
g

Hello,
This has probably been covered, but doing several searches, I have not been able to get a useful answer.
I realise that there is a RIL.dll driver in the system and that it is part of the GSM stack, it is used by the STK service to find the GSM network broadcast information (Cell ID is one of them) from the local Cell towers.
My questions are:
Why is the latest ROM (HELMI_BA_WM6_R0_Public) not equipped to received the Cell Broadcasts (even through the Control Panel > Phone > More)?
How is the latest ROM (HELMI_BA_WM6_R0_Public) updated to include this feature that is fundamental to all other Cell Phones?

Hi there.
i have a question how i could get %subj% info.
I need to get info from gps with current position and at the same time gather visible mobile transreceivers info (my master work theme)
Btw all this info should be saved in mobile device.
For this i took nokia n80 but unluckily i found that i can get only information about cell device is currently connected, but i need at least 3..
So now i'm thinking off a simple way how i could gather such info...
Since i doubt that n80 will be suitable i'm thinking what phone could be suitable for this my task.
Thanks for info

I figured i would ask before i got to deep.
i have a cdma ppc6600 (Harrier) i searched and read that this is for gsm only
My question is that because of the network itself or is it whats in side the unit?
My Harrier is no longer connected to the network, so i dont care if the phone or mail or whatever aspects work at all, i just want to play with it and get it to 6.1, i always thought that the only differences between a gsm and a cdma phone is the radio/phone aspects of the unit and the parts required to get it that to work, but not the pda area of it, am i mistaking?
harrier has no WM5 or WM6 why cause thats how it is, what you can do is find a broken lcd siemens sx66 and take its motherboard and put it on your harrier.
Hello, everyone, I'm from china. I have some problems , I hope you can help me.
My phone is htc ppc6800. Last year, China's domestic operators China Telecom ,whose predecessor is the China Unicome ,deployment of the CDMA Ev-do Rev.A Network and has put it into the market .
In China,The phone of CDMA and the card seperates from each other, that is to say the personal identification is on the UIM card . After ppc6800 modified by the MOD , the phone can completely use UIM card, but cannot use 3g (EV-DO).It can only use the CDMA 1x to go online, generally at the rate of 15k per second.Perhaps it's because of the partly use of Cellular Authentication and Voice Encryption validation.Through the # # 33284 # ,I can see the AN/AAA authentication 2=Authentication .It shows that going online fails.and it can only suffer the rate of 1x.
However, a domestic company sales the CDMA phone ,it have found the method of using any UIM card enter the EV-DO directly .The phone it sales don't need any settings . The company use this to get tremendous profit. Since the company has not open this kind of technology, the operators do not provide AN\AAA service for customers, and many netizens begin to study about this.
After comparing,I found the difference---when opened ,the radio of the PPC6800 they released is 3.0EVDO. While in four color, the SPL of it is "TITA100 MFG SPL -2.40. ARLEN CPLD -9" ,Rather than our common "TITA100 produced by the sound pressure level of -2.40. Olipro CPLD of -9.",In the latest month , the radio of "3. 0EVDO" appeared on the domestic BBS .It can easily get online, but i still can't use the UIM card to enter the EVDO.
I want to backup the "spl -2.40. arlen." , but I can't find the way. If it is the read and writen to complete work on another phone , it might be possible to solve the EV-DO problem, but I'm not qualified to do that. I have gone over the BBS of websites abroad, perhaps because of the wm smart mobile phones are in different conditions, I haven't found any thing about this question, and any relevant information about the SPL2.4Arlen.If you have any method,or you have any clues or datas ,please contact with me .my email: wushuxiansheng#msn.com,Or reply here, ,I'm looking forward to your help .Thank you very much.ank you very much.
兩個解決辦法,刷3.0EVDO Radio;到中國電信查詢AN/AAA 密码。
Two solutions, Flash 3.0EVDO Radio; to China Telecom query AN / AAA code.
但3.0EVDO Radio 是加密,要在商家付費才能刷!太可惡的奸商。
But 3.0EVDO Radio is encrypted, you must pay for money!Outrage!
I also having same problem of 11101001...
i brought it from china and using it in Bangladesh in Citycell network...when my operator introduce EvDO network i can not use it......
can any body...help me
Hi
I am thinking about the SGS2 but I would like to know if it has rSAP support or not.
For HTC devices there is some development available. But not for Samsung.
Anyone can confirm or even test?
Thanks
snudel
According to http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/RSAP even SGS1 supports rSAP. So I think it should be supported by SGS2, too.
excuse my ignorance but....rSAP?
dont get your question. but:
in germany, some car brands have handsfree talking with rSAP protocol only.
for more details check the wiki link above.
so its a bluetooth protocol that accesses the sim... what for accessing the phone book?
depends on the version - as stated in the wiki
yeah google translated german isn't too easy on my canadian brain
oh, didnt even realize its german sorry

Click to collapse
remote -Sim Access Protocol allowing gsm enabled car phones to utilize a mobile handset sim to make calls (and possibly other related gsm functions) without having to have a sim themselves.
