Change file type associations

Hi
Since I use my S110 one thing annoys me to deat. I use Wisbar and this closes programs instead of minimizing them. Now, when I click on a *.mid or *.wav that sluggish album program needs to start up and that takes ages. On my old iPAQ (that lacked that album) those files where played by the explorer directly (maybe a small dll, don't know) and that was way faster, there was no delay whatsoever and the album takes its sweet time to come up.
So I'd like to know if there is a way to change the fily type association for the audio files from the album to that smaller player (that is included in WM2003, just don't know the name)?
Please help.
there is a little program called myExtensions available for free, and lets you choose the whatever program you wish for a certain extension..

you can also use Resco File Explorer... use ( open with ) ..
if both combined together.. you'll get very good results
cheers
Ok thanks, that looks promising. I'll check that out asap.
Ok, that tool worked perfectly. All set and done. Nice, thanks again.
Glad I helped

Giff as background???

Did somebody manage to install gif picture as background.
Why not convert it to JPG/BMP?
Because of animation...
Like on Samsung mobiles
Never seen animated backgroud on PPC (not thought it my me useful). You can only use external application to make it work as a screensaver, or maybe somebody made a new today-like application that can do it? You need to google it out.

there are options

Animation

I was thinking of an idea for a program the other day at work. Me and another guy were really bored so we started to make flip book animations. Then I thought it would be cool if there was some program were I could take pictures of each frame then use the program to animate it. Is there any such program out there?
imageready in adobe cs2 does exactly that. it's used to make gif files

Xbox 360 Bootup sound

I have an xbox 360 boot up file for all you fanboys out there.
This is not my work. I added a couple more I have. One is an HTC boot-up and the other is my favorite nrgROM boot up. Enjoy.
If anyone has a xbox360 boot up animation to share that would be awesome.
Haha love it!
I just love when HTC started coming out with those commercials. That beat just gets me pumped that I own one.
Additional Boot-up sound
Here's another.
Xbox boot sounds
Thanks, love these.
Where do I drop the wave file and do I need to rename it?
Drop them into your windows folder. I use Total Commander. The easiest way is to rename to bootuphtc, and your device will see it. If you don't rename it you will have to tell the device which file to use with advance config tool.
oh boy, call it possible...it must be more complicated.
I tried copying it to my windows folder, and nada.
Running stock tmobile rom, whats wroong?

Click to collapse
its not as hard as you make it seem. just rename it and place it into the windows folder. just like specified on the post above yours
also doesn't work for me.. im using mithyrom
Yeah, I've looked through my windows folder, the only sound with that name is the one i put in.
On the tmo stock rom it doesn't make any sound when i boot, shows a small animation and vibrates, am i gonna need to isntall more software to customize such a simple thing?
Use total commander and copy the file to your windows folder. Open your Advanced Confiuration Tool--> go to HTC Animation, click it open you will get a list. Go to Startup WAV file: tap it, you will get a dialog box with a drop down option on the bottom of your screen--> tap the drop down option and choose browse now find you file (whatever the name is).

Here are a couple more:
someone posted the Xbox360 boot up gif here. Not my work thanks to killertaru.
Does anyone have the old Nintendo boot up graphics and sound??

Moving Wallpapers

i havn't been on the website in a long time and really love all the option you guys put up here. i will be receivin my tp2 come monday and really interested in using the HDWall, but has anyone created a software were it allows you to use a video or .gif file? i have tons of pics to choose from 1 for portriat and 1 for landscape but what about video? granted these phones prob are not made to handle constant video or i could be wrong, but a program that lets you compress a video or use a .gif and if possible run of a memory card would be a plus to minimize the use of the rom. am i making any sence, i think it would be cool. how long should it run, how big a file size it can be, i wish i was a programmer/dev. anyone can tell how i go about that, can it be self taught or a course is required.
it could be video clips, cartoons or a slide show of pictures
the new dusk sense rom/theme i believe has an animated wallpaper feature, its not really developed alot though, but this would answer your question....
