Hi,
Can anybody out there advise me on what I need to do to get this blue trek G2 headset working properly with my XDA2 ?
It has paired OK with the XDA, I can hear fine from the headset but the mic is not responding to voice input.
I don't think it is a hardware issue with the headset, I paired it with a Nokia 6630 and it worked perfectly.
Is it a problem with the software I'm running in the XDA ? I'm running 2.02t1 WWE, 1.18.00
Any suggestions ?
Thanks
got a G2 running on my QTEK2020 with rom 2.20CHS.
works perfect.
can also use dial last number direct from the G2 by pressing the key for 2 seconds.
really works like a charm

sounds like you are using handsfree mode?
For my G2, i couldn't get the mic working as well. Seems the mic only works for headset mode.
I must be being stupid !! I cannot get this this thing to respond to voice. It connects the to the XDA perfectly, the last number redial works a treat, the headset icon appears next to signal strength indicator, I can hear through it fine, just nobody can hear me. I've checked the mute function that works fine and isn't enabled. I've hard reset the XDA, rediscovered the G2 but still no voice. Any f urther suggestions ?

The G2 is working properly??? Have you tried it with other phones? Perhaps it has the problem...
I have the G2 as well and it works fine with the 2020...
I am convinced the G2 is working correctly, it works fine with another BT device. Do I need to upgrade my XDA2 to 2.20 CHS ??? or is there a registry tweak I need to make within 2.02t1 WWE ? to get the G2 to work ? If so where can I find it on the forum ?

Both my colleague and I use XDA2s and we work in the same office. Today, both of us have had incoming calls, while the unit is in its cradle. I took mine out of the cradle, checked who was calling and hit the green button. The call was answered (according to the display) but I could hear nothing. My colleague had exactly the same happen to him, from a different caller. Has anyone else had this, or is there a technique to answering a call when the XDA is in its cradle?
Hello,
I have had no problem answering calls from within the cradle -
I did exactly as you said - picked up the device from the cradle, but I pressed the "answer" button on the screen, all works fine for me.
Cheers
I have answered lots of times the same way with no problems, I've even put the unit on speakerphone... Very handy when cradled...
Did you use a headset before?
The following happend for me once:
I use the headset for listening music. Phone is ringing. I unplug the headset, because I have a poor quality Hama one, and in a loudy bus, the internal speaker of the PDA is better.
But I hear nothing. The only way to take a phone call, with the headset.
I think the PDA's headset connector switch was wrong. After I plug and unplug the headset many times, my wallaby worked. (The PDA felt the headset plugged, so switch off the speaker but the headset wasn't pluged. Soft reset did not help)
This is my story

There is a setting, to automatically switch on speakerphone when PDA in the cardle?
Thanks!
Thanks, everyone, for the feedback. Neither of us had used headphones, but we both have BT headsets, which we had used that morning - one's a Jabra BT200 and the other is a Bluetrek G2. I don't know whether that is relevant or not.
If anyone out there uses a BT headset and can tell me how they select a number from contacts and ring it so that the headset works - I'd like to know! Mine only seems to work if initiate the call from the headset.
(off topic, sorry) is there any way of getting the phone to answer calls/dial calls in hands free mode? or creating a profile that does so (ie when i am in car and xda is in a (non handsfree) cradle.

I do not know if this feature is availble. I did a little search on my imate but did not find such a feature! but will be nice to have it!
The only option available is to asnwer received calls after certain rings!
it would be worth cheching how old the rom version is on your xda2 as there is an issue with the very early versions of the rom (1.03.00) for example. In this version nither the cell line or the gprs cant be connected while the XDA2 is in its cradle. current version should be 1.60.00.
hope this helps
Well I can use the voice activation and hear people, so thats a start!
but the feature of opening it up to answer a call doesnt work.
Anyone else using one of these? Whats your luck been with it please?
Thanks,
Simon.
I have an HS850 that I use with my Motorola PEBL. Opening the headset does not answer a call - it turns the device on . . . pressing the button on the headset answers a call.
I did not have a lot of success with the HS850 and my JasJar - there was always a lot of static in the background. With my PEBL it works and sounds very good. I use a SE HBH300 with my JasJar - it works flawlessly.
I have a HS850 and Qtek9000...living together in a perfect harmony...
Hi guys,
I've been scouring the web for a number of days now with no success. Was wondering if anyone is experiencing the same problem and if anyone knows if this can be fixed.
I have a HTC P3600i, with ROM 3.00.707.18 (latest ENG ROM I could find) and have been using a Jabra BT8010 (firmware 1.33) for some months with no problems on A2DP or Handsfree (even switching back and forth is ok).
Have just got myself a new Dell BH200 stereo BT headset (for better bass) and while A2DP is working pretty fine (very nice), I'm finding that I can't use the headset for incoming or outgoing calls at all.
Everytime I try doing calls, the headset icon on the phone screen disappears after 5 or so seconds, and the headset itself switches off right after.
Am hoping someone can point me to the right direction, thanks..
Well two years later
I own a Dopod C730 and lo and behold I bought a Dell BH200 and I have the exact problem descibed above. I have the latest rom and I have tried reseting the smartphone all for naught.
Well I hope someone has figured this one out at some point or else I am going to be disappointed in my new Christmas gift
Well, I gave up and sold off my BH200 already. Am back to using the Jabra BT8010.
same problem here with my HTC Touch (3452). It's really frustrating to have to remove the headset every time u have to take a call. did anyone fimd a solution to this?

I am not using touch. Mine is Asus P535. WM6
Do double pairing. 2 diffrent mode
1) Hi Fi Stereo
2) Hands free
Music would mute when the call is recieved. When you end the call the music comes back.

This didn't work for me at all, on my HTC P3600i with the Dell BH200 headset. Pairing was ok, but as soon as there was an incoming call, the Dell headset would ring, and then silence.. I'd also notice that the headset icon on my phone would disappear and the headset itself would turn off.
My Jabra BT8010 headset, on the other hand, paired just fine as both handsfree and wireless stereo device. In fact, I've ditched the BH200 and am using the BT8010 till now.
Well how come i aint see this thread . Ok now BH200 works fine and it has no issues ( as you guys should understand if it works with ASUS , NOKIA , SAMSUNG phone ).The problem is HTC's coding . It doesnt support AVRPS, thats the service which is necesary for Phone to switch to calls when received and switch back to music. Now jabra uses a different technology ... But you will have to compramise on the quality of music in BH200
( its awesome ) and more over it looks like a music head set any ways .
damn! is there any workaround? or is AVRPS hardware specific? after A2DP and AVRCP, no we have another acronym to add to the lexicon
Same problem here, tested BH200 with Universal WM6 and Touch HD, headphones switch off seemingly when they receive handsfree request.
Tested them with WM5, lo and behold, it worked. Now I wonder - how come that they work with WM5 BT stack and not with WM6? Any ideas?
Well, from what I gather, at least the good news is that AVRPS is not hardware-specific... so there should be a suitable workaround to this problem for anyone using WM6.
I bought my pair of Dell BH-200 headphones yesterday and while I'm absolutely thrilled by the perfect (at this price) sound quality when playing music, I'm rather annoyed by the fact that I have to take off my headphones every time I want to receive a call. After all, that's what a headset is for, right!?
In any case, here are the specs of my phone:
HTC Touch Elfin P3452, running an up-to-date Windows Mobile 6.1 (Onyx ROM)
I'm considering upgrading to Windows Mobile 6.5 these days to see if that would do the trick... has anyone of you guys tried the Dell headphones' headset compatibility when running WM 6.5? Going back to WM5 is definitely not a option, since I didn't quite enjoy the looks & ergonomics of that OS...
P.S.: Upgrading to WM 6.5 didn't do the trick, unfortunately So I'm pretty much stuck and I don't want to return the headphones since I really enjoy them, of course once I ignore how they don't actually function as a proper headset... Any help would be greatly appreciated!
I just found this fix for the situation:
http://social.microsoft.com/Forums/...s/thread/368efd50-ce24-453a-a31c-e6747c698082
Try setting the registry value:
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Bluetooth\AudioGateway\UseESCO = DWORD:0

The best part is, it seems to be actually working (I'm with Touch HD with Win 6.1).
Hi,
Received my HD2 a few days ago and had no problem making calls with the OEM BT Handsfree of my 2009 3-serie BMW.
Until I discovered that I coudn't use it to receive calls !
The HF picks-up the call OK via the iDrive or steering wheel button, but audio is dead. Both parties can's hear anything.
It's actually possible to make it work two ways: first, by answering the call via the phone button instead of the car's one, or second, by answering with the steering button or iDrive having no audio first, then by going to the phone and disconnect and reconnect the Handsfree via the phone menu and at that point the audio comes back working ok.
It is a real disapointment as my previous Diamond touch was working flawlessly in the same car.
Not to mention that it pretty useless like that because of the danger implied by trying to rush to the phone in a deap pocket or in the arm's rest compartment to push the answer key.
I hope HTC will fix that soon as it pretty useless for guys like me, working 2h of their day in the car. It seems they changed from a MS BT stack to a Widcomm, loosing compatibility in the process...
Anyone experienced the same yet ?
Yves.
Yes, i have similar problem with my BWM X5 Bluetooth.
When i am on call and same time put they key can't hear nothing from phone and from hands free. Same is if go out from the car and have call in same moment.
With my previos phone HTC HD - all working great.
Ok, thanks for the reply.
I really think it is due to the change of BT stack.
BTW, did you file a ticket to HTC support ?
I did yesterday, obviously no answer yet but could you do it too ?
The more we are, better are the chances that they do something for the next rom.
Hello,
here is my issue with the BT connection: I have a Pioneer F900BT unit in my car. With my previous Nokia E66 everything worked just fine.
Now, when connecting with HD2, conection works ok, phonebook is downloaded ok, BUT: when there is a call, the music in the car is not silented automatically; what's worse, it seems the phone doesn't send any call identification to the headunit, since all the history (outgoing, incoming calls) is empty. So, I cannot redial or see who's calling me.
I did try the fix in the registry described earlier on this thread, but it doesn't help.
Any idea?
Thank you.
I have a 2008 3 series and have no problems at all, connected first time and has worked flawlessly ever since

Same here with an e92 (08/2008).
Hello,
I have a problem with my samsung Omnia 7 running Dynamics Rom V2 8858Release & my new bluetooth headset plantronics m165.
Pairing my device with my phone is not a problem.
My voice OUTPUT is EXCELENT (music is great, calls are clear,...)
But my voice INPUT (my own voice) is terrible distorted with heavy skipping.
The person on the other side of the phone can't understand me.
- I tried different roms, including the official wp7.5 with my phone in a relocked state.
- I tried editing the registry on my phone as suggested here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1351043
- I tried my BT headset on another phone wich works great.
Nothing worked.
Can this be a hardware problem? 'Cause I still have warrenty on the phone.
Any advice much appreciated.
Can some1 help please?
I rlly need BT to work :silly:
