Monitoring software? - MDA II, XDA II, 2060 General

I have been looking everywhere for some software that will tally the total call duration, SMS use and GRPS usage within set periods so that I dont go over my allocated free minutes.
Preferably im after something free but I will settle for a paid up version if its decent and cheap...... and theres no warez alternative (joke - dont ban me  )

The one I have been using since I purchased the XDAII is Spb GPRS Monitor, it only monitors GPRS but I have been very happy with it.

that rocks, thanks
Now just need to nail SMS and Calls and im an extatically happy bunny

T-Mobile OZ Messenger

I hate that the OZ messenger constantly occupies the notification slot. It keeps you from using the soft key on the today screen for calendar. Also i have noticed that even if i get kicked offline the little man is still on my top bar telling me im online.
I have tried agile, but it disconnects everytime you make a call or loose connection for any amt of time.
i just wish we could use aim like on a sidekick2. when some1 im u a phone number u can click and dial the number from the aim screen
This is my biggest complaint with the MDA so far... The OZ messenger is VERY SLOW and does not have the ability to "keep connection alive" so the GPRS will timeout every so often and only come back on when you send an IM out, then ALL of the imcoming IMs will be sent to you. One plus is that the OZ messenger stays logged on while I make phones calls during the day. IM+ and agile both disconnect when i make or answer any call!! are they serious?!? That is so damn annoying. Does anyone here have an advice on how to keep the IM on while making a call like the OZ messenger??? so sort of setting somewhere?!? please help, I've been researching til the end of time and can't figure it out. I have been through 3 different ROMs so I know that can't have much to do with it since OZ stays online just fine... any other IM progs out there that will help me? thanks...
The reason it disconnects you from the gprs/edge network when you receive a call is because it uses the same chip to process calls and data. So if you accept a call in it will take the call and stop data until the call is finished.
The reason OZ IM does get disconnected is because it works on TXT msessaging...which is really bad and it will cost you everymessage you send so you better have a large amount of free message as its not like IM+ or Agile which send it through the internet instead of trhough the tmobile txt message service.
I use VeriChat for IM. Its so much supperior to Agile and IM+ in many ways.
THe have a 30 days trial on their website. Give it a shot.
Hope this helps
I've heard that OZ messenger works using SMS, but you guys make it seem like it uses GPRS to send/receive instant messages. So which is it?
i guess u guys dont like the way u can click a link in aim on a sidekick no1 has answered any of my ?'s about y cant any of the im software allow u 2 click a number or webpage and view or dial it

Counter for text / MMS / Data / Call usage?

Hi guys, recently I picked up the O2 UK Trion aka Hermes. On the whole I am quite pleased, however I'm missing one very essential application (which I've got used to on my previous Sony Ericsson K800). Namely, the ability to monitor how many text and picture messages are sent, how much data is being trafficked, and how much outgoing call usage has been made. The beauty of my previous phone is that I could reset the counters each month, when my bill had come through and my monthly allowance was re-started.
Does anything like this exist for this phone? Is it built in or does it require separate software installed?
Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated as at the moment trying to remain frugal in my use of this phone is going to be difficult if I can't monitor how much of each type of communication has been happening each month.
Anyone want to help me out here? Even just an opinion would be nice...
DKToday will sit on your home screen and show your call times for the month, the day and how many SMS you've sent, and reset automaticly each month.
SPB GPRS Monitor will monitor your data connection for you.
Ikarus's battery status will do just about everything you need it to, its a great app and its one of my personal favs that i cant live without..

and please be patient... most of us dont live here so it may take some time to get an answer..
Thanks guys, sorry if I seemed impatient, it was just really bugging me.
Gonna try out the Battery Status plugin, looks like it will do the job.

SMS Counter for Pocket PC?

Does anyone know of a simple sms counter for Pocket PC. I have been googling for a while an all I can find is Efficasoft SMS Counter for Smartphone. I just don't want to get caught going way over my texting plan limit. I'm not looking for a complicated sms app that has all kinds of bells and whistles, just a simple sms counter. Any help would be appreciated.
Will this do?

Please note that this program has many additional features, but will also keep track of your calls, SMS, data transfers, etc etc.
Pretty good in my opinion

Isn't LCMinutes good for you ?
Basically LCMinutes is an application that keeps track of phone calls and text messages (SMS), calculates their charge based on user defined rate plan, and thus keep user informed of the up-to-date balance information: like current charges, used free minutes, used free messages, expire date for prepaid plans, etc.

Sorry, I should have searched here first! Sorry to waste your time! Thanks for the quick replies!!!
Efficasoft smartphone sms counter works on pocket pc and seems to be the most accurate for recording every sms sent. I would like it to put an icon and total on the today screen, but it doesn't have that feature. I have assigned it to the 2nd press of my internet explorer button and this works well. You set how many free texts you get per month and it keeps a running total and % remaining
I found battery status didn't pick up every sent text, so the total was very inaccurate
LC minutes looked messy in my opinion
Hope this helps

[SMS App] Really cheap way to send messages

Greetings
I have been using a program called "Skebby" for sometime now it is originally Italian, but there is an english version for it.
its a J2ME program that is used to send SMS through web and it is really CHEAP! (well not really SMS but it could be used to send SMSes)
if you message some one (or some people) alot everyday the normal SMS could cost alot, and the email/IM would cost too (if you dont have a good a data plan).
so you install skebby, and your friend(s) install it and you can exchange messages with a really cheap price, (one KB per message, up to 1600 characters each message).
I know there are alot of those IM/Messaging programs, .. but i have not seen a program that spends so little as this, .. it is really implemented in away that uses minimum data consumption.
Original website (Italian): http://www.skebby.it/
English Version Program: http://www.getjar.com/mobile/28239/free-sms-skebby---eng/
Update: a registration is required to use the program, but the registration is free!
Happy messaging
cheers!
