Messege Sent Sound - MDA II, XDA II, 2060 General

How can i change the messege sent sounds? is it posible? and the startmenu sounds also the click sounds. Thans

Message Sent Sound
Yes you can change that sound to whatever you desire. You can find the string as this: [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Notifications\Default]
"LedRefCount"=hex:\00,00,00,00
"Wave"="recbkmusic"
"Duration"=dword:00000000
"Options"=dword:40000009
@="System Notification"
Don't worry for the @ value! You can rename it to any other. Mind you that this value sound will be your default Radio connection alert, SMS sent alert and any other incase of connection value and signal alert!
As for the start and click, those are hidden and unchangable made by MS!!
If things work lemme know..

Changing Notification Sound

Hi,
is tit possible to change sound for "Notification" Event. In case of "Incoming Call" it's easy, you just add new soundclip to ringtones, but they aren't available as sounds for "Notification" event.
What should I do ? Is it possible to override it manually ?
No ideas guys ? Or my thread just went down quickly ??
There are some sounds available for "Notification" event, they're MIDI sounds. Coz they've been preloaded then they names should figure somewhere in Register keys, don't u think ?
I got no clue about that, so i'm asking? Please help

Sometimes with a new SMS doesn't vibrate and/or sound

Hi all,
Sometimes my Touch Dual when gets a new SMS doesn't sound and/or vibrate. Even if I change the profile or do whatever it still keeps the same. If I reboot or just after a time it starts with sound again.... it just happens with SMS received, if I got a phone call it still vibrates and sounds. Any ideas? Thanks a lot!
No ideas? Can anyone please help?
Same problem here... can anyone please help?
Most of the time the light goes on and no sound or vibrating... other times it plays a standard sound and not my selected one for SMS receiving...
ya. same to me.. after I upgrade my htc touch dual to WM6.1 and change back to "old sms look" from the regisry.. it cant get any sound at all...
and I was try to go setting-> sound & Notifications - >under Notifications page, the Event part [Messaging:New text message] I was set the wav sound, same to all the MMS setting.. I try to set all the msg to alarm3, but also no sound at all
I've solved my problem by changing the register:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Inbox\Settings
In this folder the value for SMSAvailable is 0. Change it back to 1!
In a thread I was told to change it to 1 to get conservation style sms, I believe.. never worked

Hi,
when i receive a new message a very little windows appears on lower left side of the home windows. This new stupid one probably replaces the extended normal one which appears when a new sms arrives and the text inside quotes the sms text.
Simultaneously when i set the ring off or vibration mode however the diamond ring with a new sms but at the max volume. It's crazy !!!
I tried to remove the last apps installed but the problem persists.
What can i do?
Thanx

Thanks. This worked for me. I've outline my steps on my Sprint Htc Touch (htc 6.1 rom):
1. in regedit path KEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Inbox\Settings\SMSNoSentMsg, change DWORD data existing Decimal value=1 to 0. Perhaps for some people, if existing value=0, then change to
1. Some forums indicated value from SMSAvailable. But I didn't see that entry in my registry. I saw only SMSNoSentMsg under the above path.
2. On tab Settings: Sounds & Notifications\Sounds, check both on Programs and Notifications
3. On tab Notifications: Event\Messaging\New text message, choose an event(s)
After all 3 steps, text message inbound should work. I changed the value in step 1 back to original value of 1. Sound still works. I think step 1 somehow "wakes up" the notification sound config

Weird sound from end call key

for some reason my end call key on my Wing makes this annoying beep after i press it. I have also noticed that the Call History and delete buttons also make this odd sound. Any ideas as to why? I have tried to listen to all of the sounds that i could find on my Wing, but no luck finding the source of this annoying beep
Is it really that annoying? It just sounds like a beep...
yes it is annoying because it's not supposed to beep at all.
After some searching on my Wing, I have discovered that it's the dpadctl.mid sound that has somehow been mapped to the buttons mentioned in my first post about this issue. How can I unmap this sound from these buttons?
EDIT: I have found the solution for this problem if anyone else is having it.
Disable the "ding" sound when initiating a call and ending a call.
hkey_current_user\controlpanel\soundcategories\incall
change the initvol to 0. do the same for hkey_current_user\controlpanel\soundcategories\incallfeedback
The sound is dpadctl.mid
Disable SMS message sent notification:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Inbox
3. Next, click on Inbox (make sure the Inbox is highlighted) and select Edit, New Key
4. Name the New Key as "Settings"
5. Click on "Settings" (make sure the Settings is highlighted) and select Edit, New String Value
6. On "Value name:", key in SMSNoSentMsg and in "Value data", key in 1
Credit for these: they were found on the TreoCentral forums -- usually from Hobbes

That beep has been driving me crazy like you wouldn't understand. Thank you so much!
For those of you that are too lazy to edit the registry or don't feel comfortable doing it. Here is the fix in .cab and .reg format to disable the beep.

Notifications

Hi,
I am not being notified by an alert sound when I get am sms or voicemail or any of the notifications.
I believe everything is turned on to make the tone sound but it's silent. I am getting the notification in the with the flashing green LED and the notification icon in the title bar.
Please don't tell me I have a fault!! Grateful for any help.
Thanks
Same issue here.
Hard Reset solves it.
I found what trigger this problem for me is installation of a language pack.
I've read somewhere that someone said what triggered it for him was something about playing with location (country). What I saw is that after I install the language pack, my location is changed too (when I check in regional settings). Maybe this is the trigger...
I solved this by going into the Windows interface which can be damn tricky without a stylus!!
My Sense UI wasn't picking up the Windows settings, so the notifications were ticked in Sense but not in WinMo, and WinMo was the setting being used.
Possibly a fault with the Sense UI??
Thanks
Hi can you tell me how you mangaed to solve this
because i have been through the phne with a fine tooth comb and i cannot get that sms sent notification to work.
On closer inspection of the registry i do no think there is even a string for the notification (HKCU/ControlPanel/Notifications ect.
In the windows sound settings there are settings for sent MMS but not Sent SMS or Sent Message.
On My old Blackstone it seems there ere far more notification options to be enabled or disabled as you wish. If anyone has an idea what string or information we could add to the above registry setting then i think we might have nailed it?
HTC are you listening

[Q] Samsung Galaxy s5 ringtone not changing to default

My Samsung Galaxy S5 ringtone will not change to the default, I have checked everywhere I can think of on the phone & it still doesn't change. It has so non English ringtone on it, I would like to change from it.
Can anyone tell me how to change the ringtone so I can use my default one.
Thanks
Sorry to understand clearly..
What you want actually?
Do you want to change ringtone to Default one?
Or you want to set custom ringtone(Which you choose)?
Or you don't know, from where to change ringtone?
No as I said it is not playing the default ringtone & no custom ringtone is set. I would like to remove the non English ringtone that plays when I receive a call on my mobile . To my default one that's pictured above.

The normal ringtone setting is Settings menu > Quick settings > Sound > Ringtones
If that doesn't work, then you need to provide a lot more information about your situation.. which you should have done at the outset anyway.
e.g.
Describe in detail how you have tried to change the ringtone. And the result.
What is your firmware version?
Are you using a custom ROM or custom theme?
Do you have any apps installed that may interfere? e.g. xposed, zedge, etc.
Anything else that seems relevant
.
not much more that I can say. I don't know why it not changing to the default ringtone, can't give anymore information as I don't know why. If you look at the picture above & look at the default ringtone that's not the ringtone that is playing. Also view video http://1drv.ms/1sx16TB & see the attached image of the default ringtone & no custom ringtone is set.
