Hi,
is tit possible to change sound for "Notification" Event. In case of "Incoming Call" it's easy, you just add new soundclip to ringtones, but they aren't available as sounds for "Notification" event.
What should I do ? Is it possible to override it manually ?
No ideas guys ? Or my thread just went down quickly ??
There are some sounds available for "Notification" event, they're MIDI sounds. Coz they've been preloaded then they names should figure somewhere in Register keys, don't u think ?
I got no clue about that, so i'm asking? Please help
I really want to change alarmclocksounds but it always uses "default" sound, it happend after i converted a mp3 song to wav and placed it in windows map.
How do i change sound to my converted song?
Is there some other program that i can use for setting alarmclock?
search for Galarm, much more customizable better than stock alarm. It's Donateware, dislike the math problems option for shutting off alarm though brain don't function well at 3 am LOL.

Please dont start a new thread for a question that has already been asked.
Thank you

Get a .wav soundfile and place it in /windows folder.
Then that ringtone will appear in the alarm's tones section, choose it, and there you go

hi, i ve got different language installed on my HD2 so i will try to translate it into english..
try going into settings, sounds, and then look for notification sounds and try to disable them.
or when you are on settings, in right down corner tap on menu, and display all settings, and then go into sounds.
i think i had the same problem - which ROM are you running? as long as i remember it change when i flashed 1,48 rom...

This makes the alarm sound longer, but it still only sounds once. There is no option for "make the sound repeat forever" or "repeat the sound for 2 minutes".

what about then the calendar alarms? will they go off if you disable notification sounds?
have you checked the following:
go to:
settings > menu > all settings > clock & alarms > alarms tab
click on the little bell above the time..
see if "repeat sound" is checked

it is but...
... this allows the alarm to be played only twice insteda of once
... my question was different: if i set notifications to off, will the calndar reminders play?
Download an audio editing program like Audacity and loop the file 20 times. This should do the trick.
Is it just me or is the windows mobile alarm really incompetent waking people up??
It would be nice if it could read MP3 files and play infinte times...
Looks like a bug,,,
Set an alarm by using the link on the manila home screen. Choose a sound for that alarm.
Now go settings - menu - all settings - clocks and alarms - alarms - tab and edit the alarm you have just set, , no sound selected, which means that the 'repeat and vibrate ' option below it isn't repeating the sound we set in the manila alarms screen. Choose a sound here and it works.
EDIT - OK, ignore the above, no it doesnt, it just plays both sounds, twice, then waits a minute then plays them again, then nothing.
Does ROM 1.66 fix this problem?

This cannot be fixed by HTC: it is a WM issue...
then please tell me why I haven't got this issue with any other winmo devices, huh? it is htc who's responsible for rom on leo, not ms.
Hey guys, I thought I would share a little finding that I made today.
I've always liked the idea of increasing ringtone and I loved it when I was using CM. Since a lot of roms out there don't have that option, you can set your own ringtone with this little app ( wich Im sure most of you know ), Ringtone Maker Completely free on the play store
To do that:
Open Ringtone Maker ---> Select your favorite ringtone ---> Edit ----> Go to menu ---> Volume and fade --- > Set fade in to 3 or 4 seconds ( that's to your liking really ) ---> Save, and you're good to go.
And that's it, now you have increasing ringtone for those awkard moments when you are in classes etcc and u forgot to silent your phone OR when you just don't want your phone to make you jump with a loud rigntone.
Using nougat 2BQL
Changing the default notification tone, it accepts and sets it. Then after a few hours or full day, it will revert back to a factory one (Beep Once)
All of my tones are stored internally (not on memory card)
All of my tones are set using the media storage built in tone selector
All of my other tones set and stick without issue (including Ringtone and Contact Ringtones and Textra Tones)
I have also tried to use Zedge to select a tone, that didnt stick either
As far as I can tell, nothing I am doing is "forcing" it to default back. I do not have any "profile" applications that would change sounds.
I am at a loss. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
