I really want to change alarmclocksounds but it always uses "default" sound, it happend after i converted a mp3 song to wav and placed it in windows map.
How do i change sound to my converted song?
Is there some other program that i can use for setting alarmclock?
search for Galarm, much more customizable better than stock alarm. It's Donateware, dislike the math problems option for shutting off alarm though brain don't function well at 3 am LOL.

Sorry I just now noticed your post. To change the alarm sounds, go to Settings>Clock & Alarms (depending on your ROM) and click on the bell icon.

If you're refering to the standard clock and alarm application, then start the clock application, go the alarm tab, the click on the alarm icon on right. A notification screen will be shown. There you can use the pull down window to change the alarm to anything you want.
Thanks, that's what I was looking for.
Another question: can I add more tones, maybe some kind of music ?

Have'nt tried it, but I suppose if you store the music as a .wav file in the window directory that should show up as one of the possible items to be picked.
This seems to work,
however any good music converted to .wav eats up too much memory.
Is there any possibility to redirect the alarm-tone directory to microdrive ?

No settings here. Convert your mp3 file into wav. Then just copy-paste your new file in windows folder. You will find the new desired audio file in alarm settings.
Hope I was useful.
You can simply go to the "Music" Touch Flo tab and then select the lower left button "library".
Select a song and click the "Menu" button. There you will find an option to use the song as ring tone.

Get a .wav soundfile and place it in /windows folder.
Then that ringtone will appear in the alarm's tones section, choose it, and there you go

This makes the alarm sound longer, but it still only sounds once. There is no option for "make the sound repeat forever" or "repeat the sound for 2 minutes".

what about then the calendar alarms? will they go off if you disable notification sounds?
have you checked the following:
go to:
settings > menu > all settings > clock & alarms > alarms tab
click on the little bell above the time..
see if "repeat sound" is checked

it is but...
... this allows the alarm to be played only twice insteda of once
... my question was different: if i set notifications to off, will the calndar reminders play?
Download an audio editing program like Audacity and loop the file 20 times. This should do the trick.
Is it just me or is the windows mobile alarm really incompetent waking people up??
It would be nice if it could read MP3 files and play infinte times...
Looks like a bug,,,
Set an alarm by using the link on the manila home screen. Choose a sound for that alarm.
Now go settings - menu - all settings - clocks and alarms - alarms - tab and edit the alarm you have just set, , no sound selected, which means that the 'repeat and vibrate ' option below it isn't repeating the sound we set in the manila alarms screen. Choose a sound here and it works.
EDIT - OK, ignore the above, no it doesnt, it just plays both sounds, twice, then waits a minute then plays them again, then nothing.

This cannot be fixed by HTC: it is a WM issue...
then please tell me why I haven't got this issue with any other winmo devices, huh? it is htc who's responsible for rom on leo, not ms.
Hi All,
Had my Desire for a couple of days now and I am well pleased. Except,
I would like to find a simple Alarm Clock app that supports
MP3 as sound
Vibrate
Snooze
And a way to turn it off
Basically, you all remember the old radio Alarm clocks everyone had, You set your time, you set your radiostation and you fell asleep.
It had a MASSIVE snooze button on top and an off button on the side.
That's what I want.
I've tried looking through market but 8 of 10 have a review saying "Does not ring at all" and well. If I see that in a review it's out straight away.
Thank yuo kindly for any help given.
the built in alarm allows snooze and vibrate as well as turning it off - not worked out how to get it to link into mp3 yet like you could on the G1

GOT IT!
If I set any of my MP3s as a ringtone it then comes up in the list of choosable music in the standard alarm as well....
But you need to have actually SET IT as you ringtone once first...
How about make a folder on the SD root called "alarms" and put mp3's in that? This is my first Android phone and even i figured that one out lol.
Just make folders like these.
Ringtones:
/sdcard/media/audio/ringtones
SMS Alerts:
/sdcard/media/audio/notifications
Alarm Alerts:
/sdcard/media/audio/alarms
Or they can be on the SD cards root like mine.
How did you manage to work out that??
Are there any apps similar to G-Alarm on Windows Phone?
Ie with multiple alarms, random mp3, weather, calculation/maze tasks, tilt/shake sensor, speech, etc.
More info here: http://www.ageye.de/index.php?s=galarm/about
I've found the alarm exact u are finding, just search Alarming at Market. I'm quite satisfied with it. Shake to snooze feature I most like

you don;t need the \media\audio\ at the start.
just shove the ringtones, notifications and alarms folders in the root of the card.
hi everybody. I ve found a lot of alarm apps on the market, but none could wake up my phone and thus me then .
Q: is there any timer-application that is able to turn the phone on -for alarm purposes while it is off, when i sleep ?
if there would be any app of this self-turn on in a specified time of a day, that would solve my buzzer problems.
sorry for that noobish question I am new using smartphone.
I'm looking for an alarm program that chooses randomly in an mp3 folder for the alarm.
I couldn't find anything like this for the moment.
This is an odd one. HTC's answer is to do a hard reset but if there is a reg entry or something I would rather try that first.
I have an alarm set with a sound I have placed in the windows directory. That works fine...
But when the alarm triggers it plays my default alert sound almost at the same time as my preferred alarm sound.
Has anyone come across that before?
Cheers
Rus
Yes mine does this - it plays an Alert sound right before the alarm tone rings, i think it's my text message alert sound..
It's not really an issue i guess just a 'quirk' ... doesnt bother me in the slightest..
i saw this on the stock ROM, and there are still quirks to the alarms in later winmo builds.
if you set an alarm from the home screen, i.e. the htc alarm, then go to all settings clocks and alarms alarms tab, you will see the sound changes aren't always carried over.
it doesn't do the dual sound on the later builds, but the settings pages still don't match.
Dual Alarm Sounds
Does no one know if there is a reg hack to cure this?
Having just got my phone set up the way i like it, I dont really want to have to load a new ROM just yet!
I was annoyed by this as well. For me it worked to disable the first entry in settings -> sound+display -> notification sounds. I don't know the exact term on english ROMs but I hope you get what I mean. It's where you set the sound for incoming mails and messages.
