Net.exe dont run after Hardreset, cant connect with VS.Net - Windows Mobile Development and Hacking General

Cause that an MDA2 shows me the dlls in MS File Explorer and the other not, I made a Backup from both devices on SD Card , than hardreset devices and made a restore ofter changing the cards.
Now I see dlls on the other device in Fileexplorer,on the first not more. ( registry setting?? )
But now a great problem :
If I klick on VB.Net.exes they dont start.
When I try them to install again from VS.net it cant connect to devices and message comes that I should check if they are physically conncet to PC.
Active Sync works properly.
What could this be and how to solve this ?

Cant connect to AS 4.5

First of all i really want to thank all the Helmi_c and all the developers; My BA is most updated running wm6.
Well much better than wm5 but I have some issues:
1. cant sync it with my PC in anyways (BT, usb etc), USB drivers are not working correctly.
2. sometimes when i pick or dial a call, i cant hear nething.
and last but not relevant to this, guys how do i stop my BA slider from falling down when I use keyboard.
1. Try delete the actual partnership in AS, sync again; if not reinstall AS on PC
2. No problem here with the sound.
same problem here
I upgraded my XDA2s, customized it,backedup, then upgraded my brothers XDA2s and used my customized backup on his XDA2s.
Now my XDA connects fine, but his doesn't !!!
Both our XDa2s's are identical in everyway.
tried a hard reset and restore from another backup and still no luck!
we were trying to save time re-installing the same softwares.
tried deleting partnerships, no luck. tried spb backup and clone, no luck.
any ideas!
Do you get any error messages on AS? Can you browse the internet from device?
usb drivers
can anybody post usb drivers i think this is the problem cause my device isnt installed properly it says problem with inf file.
whoever is able to connect his device to xp desktop via active sync usb connection, please copy the drivers folder contents from program files in active sync folder.
thanks, hope this works
Is your windows firewall enabled? Since WM6 activesync makes use of a LAN connection to sync with the PC, you must allow activesync trough the windows XP firewall, or disable the windows XP firewall completely...
no sound problems with me...
did you try to install WM6_SoundFix_.cab ?

Problem with installing .cab files

Your first task should be to set right ActivSync as that plays a vital role in transfering files to BA. Uninstall existing version on PC and install a fresh 4.5 or later version. Then connect BA to PC through USB, PC should recognize your BA and ask for partnership. Go and finish that. Once you have a clean installation of activsync on pc and you have establised the partnership between pc and BA thru ActivSync, try to synch your data with PC.
Your next step should be to install programs. Create a folder "Cabs" on Storage card and through explore of ActivSyc, copy cabs to this folder. Later on, look a the files through File Explorer and double click each cab file to install them.
Hard reset helped with both problems.

Activesync problem

Hi there!
I have a little problem with activesync. When I connect the usb cable, activesync starts and says:
"There has been a change on your server that requires you to re-synchronize all items on your device. All changes made since your last successful sync will be lost. Do you wish to continue?"
I really don't know which changes could have happened, and my fear is that when I re-synchronize, activesync takes for "good" the things (don't know how to say) that are on my "server", my pc, actually, and erase something on my Uni...
Every time I connect my Uni I answer "No" at that question, but it's going to be boring... Any suggestion?
Thank you!
use this MUST HAVE = no more activesync problems
activesync .async .msasync .tweak
ActiveTweak
.. but the first important way to fix active-sync problems ( and all other software problems [ QQ66YY ]) in my case is:
INSTALL new! windows XP prof , first by a big Harddisk , maybe 250GB , make partitions for 3 or 6 XP to install, and space for bakup partition , make maybe 8 partitions , (I have 8 partitions and no more trubble ) , and later store IMAGES from all good configured images you like , there is no other way to run software well , only install NEW , I think so.
goto www.gulli.com = stil german , but goto BOARD scroll down goto börse or BOERSE , get the XP , O&O defrag and all stuff you ever like , have PHUN

connection problem via USB , Qtek 2020

i can not connect my Qtek 2020 to PC via USB .
i have XP on the PC and WM 6.1 on the Qtek
i have the drivers but i don`t know what to do.
i have the WCEUSBSH .CAT . INF and .SYS from the original cd
when i conect the device i get a new Local Area Connection /Microsoft TV , Video Connection ...what is this ?
what do i do?
thanks
activesync include the only required drivers
and activesync is a program you can download free at ms
already tried
does not work even with active sync
make sure you have the latests service packs and updates for your computer
and if you use vista you need to use Windows Mobile Device Center rather then activesync

You are a victim of a well known problem.
Go to settings connections advanced settings and uncheque.
I case the device freezes after you press OK. Softreset and copy the attached file to \Windows folder. After copying rename it to serialusbfn.dll by deleting the last 2 letters.
This is a little workaround to overwrite a ROM-file, without getting an error or using third party apps.
still freezes

Broken Touchscreen/LCD Backup possible?

Hi,
the Display of my HD is broken and I but can start the device, but can not handle it.
So I Can Not backup my Contacts from the Device to my Computer, because of the system password which is necessary to start Windows Mobile 6.1
It is possible to start the HD in a 'Safe Mode' like Windows to backup all Files from the HDD of my device to my computer (without 'active sync')?
At the moment when I connect the HD to my computer via USB the device is identified as an extern HDD.
Thanks for your help!

Erm i think you'd need to have active-sync connection to be able to do anything like that. Otherwise you'll just have to wait for new lcd and repair it.
EDIT: Have you not got them stored on SIM card to use in other phone?

Unfortunately not.
All contacts are in the device memory.
How do the professionals in the repaircenter backup my data before they repair/open the device?
They don't.
Download http://www.mymobiler.com/ and see if you can control your device from your pc.

Yeah i was thinkin along them lines, but then you'd need bluetooth to be on and visible, maybe he hasn't as its a battery waste to leave it on.
Mmm you don't need to put in your startup password for Activesync to work.
So maybe the problem is with his usb connection if all he can see is the phone as a hdd.

Andrew
Problem is that i selected to use the device as hdd last time i connected with usb.
When i start the handy i hear the boot-sound, but i cant see anything.
So i need a option to skip the system password or start the handy via USB like a Bootloader or something else and copy all files from device to my pc.
Did you try http://www.mymobiler.com/ anyway ?

Andrew
I installed My Mobiler on my Computer and startet it.
Connected my HD to my Computer and the Computer detected the HD as extern HDD.
My Mobile on my Computer didnt recognize my HD.
MyMobile>Connect: Your Mobile may not be connected or ActiveSync connection is busy now. If the problem persists, please restart 'MyMobiler'
MyMobile>Configure Mobile>Install: PLease wait...Reinstalling MyMobiler on your mobile...... Unable to install....
Seems i can not skip my password.
I would delete and reinstall activesync and try again.

(don't give up)
i have windows 7 and no active sync running.
same problem unter windows vista.
So you are using Mobile device centre ?
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/en-us/help/synchronize/device-synch.mspx
Problem is i selected "use hd as extern hdd" and not activesync last time i connected via USB.
So on the one hand when i connect hd to computer its everytime detected as hdd because i cant use the touchscreen to selected the other option('activesync')
one the other hand i have to unlock via password the activesync connection if i could build up it.

yes indeed
Well I use XP and activesync.
Question - Has your phone worked previously syncing with Windows Mobile Device Centre ok ?
yes latest sync is from june 2009
Well I hope someone with your operating system reads this and can help more.
All I know is with Windows 7 and Vista you have to ensure your firewall settings allow the connection and some AV programmes can interfere - hope this helps.

just an advice for everybody.
make a backup every once in a while.
i for example i use Microsoft MyPhone and even if my HD or my sim card gets torched or kidnapped i will still be able to acces my contacts, photos, documents, sms etc. on the myphone webpage.
realy cool right?
so if you did use MyPhone then you can see your contacts.
good luck.
I think I've just thought of a solution for you...
Windows Mobile uses the "2577" directory, if it exists, in the root of your SD card to autorun installation scripts from. When I disconnect my HD from my PC in USB storage mode, the 2577 directory is read and installation files are executed.
It may be possible to run a mortscript or a cab file from there that will either back up your PIM data, or change the USB function back to Activesync - probably the latter is easier as I'm guessing it would just be a reg key that needs changing.
