Is it possible to send files or MP3 or wave from PC to my XDA II? i have already my bluetooth???
Yes, connect to your pc via Bluetooth & Activesynch.
Then go into My Computer and select the XDA2 icon. Explore the files on the XDA2 and simply copy and paste items where you'd like them. They'll all then be transferred via Bluetooth.

A workaround to enable Resco Explorer BlueTooth file transfers.
Uncheck Use IrDA via OBEX under General Options.
Select the file for transfer and choose Send To - Infrared Recipient...
This will take you to the Beam File... (Beam) screen similar to the one when you want to transfer files using IrDA / BT in File Explorer.
If the Xda II and the target device BT is enabled detection and transfer as per normal.
Took me a couples of days to figure that out too..
Good post.
Great, I was expecting someone to find something for resco explorer

I want the PDA to communicate directly to the PC so I can send data back and forth. I need to do this via USB.
Can anyone give me some directions?
Thanks

Install activesync, this allows transfer of files back and forth and also synchronisation of ppc with desktop.
Yeah..i have already installed ActiveSync. Is there any API for USB communications to implement a client/server program using a USB connector to enable communication between the PDA and a desktop?
Why don't you try to search yourself? Read about RAPI on MSDN
check Softick Card Export II for Pocket PC

cheers
try winsock
I've used Softik Card Export II and it works really well.
Why not use bluetooth?
Is there any secret to sending files to bluetooth devices like the XDA II (or Sony Clie for that matter) via the OS X bluetooth file exchange software. If I try to connect to my previously bonded/paired XDA or Clie to send a file or browse the device, the Mac s/w says something like 'device doesn't have the required services'.
I can use Drag'n'tooth, Missing Sync or PocketMac to sync via bluetooth, mount the devices etc... so I'm not sure why the free bluetooth file exchange doesn't work...

Hi,
From my PDA I can access the internet over the USB connection by having pass through on activesync set to the internet on the PC.
I would like to be able to access shared folders on my PC from my PDA over the USB connection. Is this possible. If it has to go over activesync that's ok.
BTW: My PDA is a Magician.
Thanks,
Stekke.
Z2 PocketLan
Best way is through 3rd Party software Z2 PocketLan, will even create shortcuts. Will work over wifi, BT, Activesync etc as use it at home to stream music to PDA
the new total commander is also good
totalcommander explicitely states in the faq that over USB through active sync is not supported.
I've tried pocketlance but can't get it to connect.
Other suggestions?
I have paired my QTek 9100 with my Mac and other devices, but how the heck do I send a file over to another device? I can receive files from these devices, but I find no option anywhere to send via bluetooth. I have created outgoing and ingoing ports too, but no new menu options appear on the file manager! How is this supposed to work on Windows Mobile 5 AKU2?
Follow the option to BEAM via Infrared, while it's searching it'll search bluetooth as well.
