Does anyone know of any software that will play this format of file. I have searched all over and can only see suggestions that entail converting the files to .AVI or similar. Can do this, but is time consuming and output file is bigger and has lost some quality.
rmvb
u can play rmvb with real player
if you are talking about TVB drama from online etc, then nothing
It is a tv series I have, and real player on PPC will not play RMVB only RM files. Thanks anyway, looks like back to converting and good old TCPMP.
Folks,
Just ran across a forum with a plugin for TCPMP to play FLV files. This is something I have been looking for and wanted to pass it along.
Playing FLV files on you PPC
Peace.

i had success playing all mp4 files using quicktime
i had the exact same problem. any video i transferred to my pc would not play. quicktime would play 3gp files, but not mp4. no other software would play my mp4 files except for vlc player. i'm assuming it's an error in my windows installation or registry. i'm gonna transfer a couple vids to one of my laptops and see if they play on there. then i'll know whether or not it's due to my windows installation. if they play on laptop, i'll do a clean install of xp and see if they play.
Super will play them as well as the newest realplayer....
Hi
Why u not try Ultimate Media Pack or Classic Media Player? U can get this soft on www.9down.com
download quicktime OR download and install this then you can play the vids in wmp on your pc

I had the same problem, I just rename the video files from .mp4 to .3gp on my computer and it plays them just fine.
I'm using joox to download movies and I would like to know how can I download or sync the videos to my phone? Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
Could anybody tell me please how to upload movies to my phone, if it's possible? I never did it with my so I just though I try it. Thanks in advance!
fastest way would put them on your storage card via a card reader and then put the card in the phone.... I have some on mine and they work fine but I do tend to stick with just .avi format
Where do you get your videos from and how do you do it? Thanks!
I've been playing movies on my Titan with TCPMP (the core pocket media player) and everything is playing fine, plays Divx and XVid and everything.
just take your movie file and reencode it in 320x240 with wathever software you want. Personnaly, I always use PocketDivXEncoder, set it to PDA, crank the audio to 6 and an episode of 22 minutes takes around 55Mb
Man...it's frustrating when you're a novice to some things. Could you explain a little further how to download the movies to my computer and then to my phone? Now, I download the movies to a my realplayer library and I'm stuck at that point.
well, I don't know how the Realplayer thingy works, I usualy just download TV Rips (in Divx or Xvid) then reencode them. I guess google is your friend for the rest!
Ok. Thanks for what you told me anyway.

Click to collapse
When you install Realplayer, it gives you the option to record video and audio streams from flash players, though it saves them in real format. I personally prefer SUPER (thats the name of the program), which downloads and reencodes the videos on the fly. It even has presets for several screen formats. Also, it's freeware, which helps.
Cheers.
Any help me with playing avi videos, do I have to convert them or do anything with them before I can play them? Cant seem to get any to play, says format not playable.
edit
ignore this...they do work!!
lol, I copied the sharks tale trailer from the divx hd showcase site, worked flawlessly and looked awesome.
