Hey guys,
I use this tool: Pocket Bluetooth Tools
Latest version.
But I only use it for the Active Sync profile.
No BT headset!!
Everytime I get a call or make one my Bluetooth connection goes ON.
I don't want this because it consumes a lot of power and its not needed as I don't use a BT headset.
Can any one tell me how I can disable the Bluetooth ON when a call is being made...?
Thanks
and if you uninstall it, is your headset one of the models that dont work natively with the xda?
the purpose of BT Tools, is to enable the BT on calls . . . if you dont want it just uninstall it.
Or you can try unticking it on the today settings (dunno if it'll disable the function or just disable the today plugin)
hope this helps

Hey Guys,
I'm trying to setup my Jabra BT250 on the XDA2 with imate rom 1.72. After bonding, everything works perfectly; However, if I turn off the phone's bluetooth or turn off the headset, I can no longer use the headset.
I have to go through the whole bonding process again before I can use the headset once more.
I have also tried Pocket Bluetooth Tools with the same exact results.
Not sure what is going on.
Found a workaround... All you need to do is click on the Bluetooth Icon, then click on the Bonded Devices tab then close that window. It'll enable you to use the headset again.
But I hope it's only a temporary fix and that someone has a permanent fix out there.
Hey...I also go thru the tedious task of clicking icons to on/off the bT headset.
Enter PocketZenPhone...
It save you the trouble of doing this...
I'm sure you'll find the thread and dicussions on the active thread on the homepage. Its cool. 8)
Thanks... I notice that it works fine if you give it a few seconds before trying to answer.
I need to do more testing
The idia is to use bluetooth headset (in my case HBH-600) with SE T630 and my Compact.
T630 pairs with headset only during incoming or outgoing call, in stand-by mode my headset is absolutly free to connect to my Compact.
And since my Compact connected to handsfree it's not letting it go. Even when my device is turned off headset remains connected to it. On the one hand it's good, but in order to make headset work with two devices I should get rid of that feature.
I've seen a thread where people (with feature mentioned above) said that our devices don't think that answering a call is "using" the device and turn off. So other party of conversation couldn't hear anything.
Do you have any ideas how to break bluetooth connection with headset after call?
Thanks in advance.
Perhaps Pocket Bluetooth Tools will help you, it can auto-off the BT on the device after the call is complete and re-enable it when a call comes in.
Be aware, however, that some people find it can cause more problems than it solves - I however love it on my Xda II.
Thanks for tip.
I've tried that a long time ago, but found it of no use for me at that moment.
I remember that there is "settings" for it, but now I can't find it.
And another question. On that site it is said that program supports bluetooth handsfree and headset profile, and what about voice dialing?
you also can use Pocket Zen Phone.. schedule your profile to set the bluetooth off at certain time.
Hello,
i have a qtek 2020 1.75.00 WWE
My question is as follows:
Is it possible to have the headset mode set to "enabled" as soon as Bluetooth is switched on? At this moment, i have to go to the today screen to manually touch the headset icon to enable it. So even when bluetooth is active, i still can't use my headset immediately. When the phone rings i still have to go through the above mentiond manouvre, so by the time i have done that, the phone already stopped ringing.
So what i actually want is that the headset mode is either always enabled or that it gets enabled as soon as bt is active.
I hope you can help me.
Regards,
Ilana
Hi Ilana,
On my i-mate (XDA II) I run Pocket Bluetooth Tools (or BTHTools) which you'll find on XDA Developers if you search for it, and aside from adding additional profiles (such as the missing SPP - Serial Port Profile, which is needed to connect to Bluetooth GPS units), it also replaces the default Headset Profile app with an automatic one.
When the phone is activated by an incoming or outgoing call, the Bluetooth radio turns on automatically & I just tap the BT headset's answer button to transfer the call to the headset. When the call finishes the BT radio automatically turns off again after 60 seconds (thus saving battery power).
Give it a try - you can uninstall it to return to the default Microsoft BT stack if it doesn't ring your bell.
Lucas.
Thank you for your help. I will definitely give it a try!
i have a bluetooth headset and my mda wont find it but i can find it on my outher phone
Assuming you tried obvious like turning on bluetooth, have to checked to make sure the bluetooth services are being loading? I use sktools to see my startup processes and services. Check that out and maybe one of the bluetooth services is set to disabled.
Those are my only suggestions. I am very new to the use of bluetooth.
Jeff
It's also quite possible that your headset is just not compatible with a wizard. There's more than one bluetooth driver, and not all phones carry all drivers. It might be an easy fix if you can find the missing driver.
What's your headset brand/model/etc.?
thanks i got it the bluetooth was "slaved" to my outher phone all i hade to do was hold power button for abot 30 sec. and it reset so i could find it thanks for yalls help
Hey guys, I could need your help.
I need to find a way to start a program / file (mortscript file) when Bluetooth Handsfree is connected /disconnected (more clear: connecting / disconnecting)
SPB Phone Suite can change profiles automaticly on this event, but Phone Suite cannot run a program when changing a profile ... what a pitty.
It would be very usefull for me because when Handsfree is connected I sit in my car and then I want to start Media Player, TomTom and so on.
Anyone could suggest me ANY solution to start a program upon Bluetooth Handsfree connecting?
I would be glad for every idea ;-)
Maybe search the registry keys of SPB Phone suite to see if you can find one that shows the status of a changed profile (the little yellow asterisk on the profile icon) and then monitor it with mortscript.
A2DPToggle by Teksoft is a nice free today plugin that lets you easily connect/disconnect headset. It also supports execution of desired app after connecting
True, but it cannot autoconnect when bluetooth device in range and detected
Sadly, i cannot get my Philips SHB7100 to autoconnect anyway
