I got as accessary the digital camera fpr my xda, but being a beginner do not know how to use it. When I place it at the card slot, the message "Unknown card on Socket 1" shows in display.
Is there any driver or something else to make it work, thank you in advance.

The SD WiFi card can build inside XDA II.
But I want to know detail. Does anyone know how to make it?
Hmm, that's very interesting!
Please, post more details here if you find them.
@slash_tsai
I can't read taiwanees but if you're able to read a it can you translate what this guy is offering.
If I'm not wrong he is selling something about this solution. Can you tell what he is selling and for how much!
thanks
Has anyone tried
contacting the guy/gal?
I don't speak a word of ".tw", so I can't do it..
He/she might be able to share some info on the thingy..?
Just my two cents..
Babelfish is your friend ;-)
XDA O2 changes the contents net card.. May not need the SD memory card the inconvenient...... SD memory card which exchanges with the non- wire card trades all to be allowed forever to miss in SD inserts in Cao. Also may wireless access the net. Does not have to add any switch to be allowed to use the SD card withdrawal insertion to make the cut to have to use the SD memory card. Or in constructs non- wire card............. Let your gate not need the belt not to need to exchange trades the SD memory card with the non- wire card between... Also cannot because the non- wire card reveal not to be convenient.... Supplies for oneself the SDIO non- wire card 3000... Not non- wire card 6300.... The reequipment guarantees the solid.. 3 month
Scorch.
Babelfish has go to be SMOKING something heavy! ;-)
Anyone who speaks the native language?

Lookin' good!
I might have to dig up my old soldering iron again..
hhhmmmm.... The only reason I am waiting for the XDA3 is for the internal wifi, if this works it would be totaly cool!.............
Great! Can't wait to get instructions!
... and waiting.... and waiting... and then some waiting....
... In the meantime you can learn some basic skills to open your XDAII. Check my guide here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=8525&highlight=i+fixed+speaker+problem
Sounds good too
Only reason for XDA 3, and I 've got a spare sdio wifi card...
See my post with pictures towards the bottom of the following thread :

It is very possible to hide the SD WiFi card in (well almost...) the XDA2. Short of getting it operational, this solution I find is very usable!
Sorry for this late reply but this was not because I didn't post but the guy who would supply the info let me waiting.
After long wait he has decided not to share or sell the instructions.
For me this case is still not closed but I think it is gonna take longer to aquire the info.

hi
I have a xda2 pocket pc with a 22pin(USB/Serial) interface.
is there any way to use the interface to plug in a multimedia card reader or a digital camera?
I want to be able to transfer my digital camera pictures straight to my pda.
I don't think so, I've looked into it, but from what I've found the XDA doens't have the right Hardware to act as a USB host, it can only act as a client. There might be some way to hook up a serial interface, but I don't know...
My camera has a 128MB SD card, and my XDA has a 1GB SD card so I'm sorted anyway
I dont think you can do that but if your camera uses cf cards it is possible to obtain an sd to cf card adaptor, you slot the sd card into the cf adaptor then slot the cf adaptor into the camera, when you wish to transfer pictures you remove the sd card from adaptor and place it in your xda. I dont know if this helps but here is the link.

thank you
When I was choosing a camera, I looked for one that will use SD/MMC card. No problems with interface at all! SD card that came with camera was showing as full of normal, viewable JPEGs. There is a lot of free memory in XDA to serve as buffer between SD card and another SD card (we aren't talking about gigs of photos here )
If camera is already bought but uses CF, there is a "backpack" add-on device for XDA II which adds a spare battery, CF slot and VGA output. I have one. So CF card can be copied.
The only problem is that backpack is quite expensive - may be worth to change camera instead - they're getting cheaper each month.
Hello,
I damaged the SD card connector of my HTC Himalaya and have to replace it. There are so many different connector types to find on the internet and I don't know which one will fit best. Do you have any suggestions? Do you have any informations about the built-in SD card connector of the HTC Himalaya?
Thanks,
Jann

Hi again,
I've asked about the SD card connector. You posted information about the used application specific integrated circuit (asic). I need to know which kind of SD card connector is used and where I can find one to replace it...
Bye,
Jann
no the first link was to hardware in general
you can even see the barcode on the sd card connector
too bad you cant see it well enough though
maybe you can conect the guy who took the pictures
or look yourself if you have the barcode too
Hello,
Sorry if this question seems silly, but is there any way i can connect a card reader for the xD format to my phone. I have looked for adapter, and could find none. I looked for reader that are bluetooth enabled, but it looks like they only act as a dongle. So i guess my question is can i get an adapter that will alow me to plus a USB device (a card reader) into my phone. Is there a better way to do it?
Thank you
Would something link this work??
I don't believe Windows Mobile allows the connection of a removeable storage device through USB.
Next best thing might be to get a MicroSD card reader that has a USB port on it. Then simply plug the MicroSD into your Kaiser, and into the adapter when you wish to pull files from other sources.
SanDisk has such a device called the MicroMate.
I am sorry, it seems i wasnt clear enough in what i wanted to do. I have a camera that takes an xD card. I would like to get the pictures from the camera to the phone without need a computer. I know i can do that if the camera took SD cards, I can get microSD card with SD adpters. My question is there any way i can do that or something similar to it with an xD card.
Thanks again

I googled about a bit, and the only adapter I could find for XD cards was to Compact Flash. Maybe buy a new digital camera that uses MicroSD?
yeah i saw that same reader, and i looked into a different camera, but i really like the Olympus cameras, and they only take xD
never seen such a device maybe because an converter would be pretty fragile as microSD is tiny compared to XD
Well other solution is try to get a micro sd card converter to XD card. I mean the XD card adapter that you can put your micro sd card inside and place it on your camera to take a pic. This is what I do on my camera, but I am using a sd card camera.
Yup, Thought about that, looked everywhere, and it looks like they just dont make it. i think it has something to do with who owns the IP on the xD card (Fuji, I think) and who owns it on the SD card (Sandisk I think).
