When I use the speakerphone, in a conversation, after I hangup, the speakerphone icon (in the top of the screen) should dissapeare in the end, but it doesn't.
Even if I make a new call, without using the speakerphone, the speakerphone icon is still there.
How can I get ridd of that icon? why it isn't go away, when I don't need it?

I use the feature in Voice Command to announce incomming callers so I know who is calling me without looking at my phone. I have set my ringers to none, so all I hear is the name of the person who is calling. However, for some reason, Voice Command seems to ignore the system volume, and still works when I have the phone set to mute.
Does anyone know of away to force Voice Command to adhere to the system volume so my phone does not go off in class or when i am at work. It doesn't happen all the time, but I know when pressing the voice command button even when the phone is mutted, it will unmute the phone and still sound the beep and confirm your commands, then put the phone back on mute. It might be a bug that exists because of this feature, but if there is anyway i can disable it, that would be great! I don't mind having to turn my volume up when using voice command to here the command confirmations, becase having the incomming callers not going off randomly is more important.
Thanks!!!
This is what I do
Go to settings, then click on Voice Command Settings. Highlight the word 'Phone', then press options. Uncheck the box that says 'announce incoming calls'. As far as I know, this is the only way to make the voice silent when a call is recieved.
Thanks....I was hoping there was a way to do this without having to change the settings everytime I have class, but I guess not. I think its just a bug anyway because it only happens sometimes. Guess I'll have to go back to good ol' ringtones....
How do you turn the ringer off, by turning the volume all the way down with the volume slider? By clicking the speaker and then clicking off?
I hold the comm button until it goes into vibrate mode then I use the volume slider to go down to off and VC has never announced the calls when the ringer is off.
I am having a problem where my dial pad disapears on my screan after the call connects. It switches to speaker phone and mute options instead of staying on the dial pad. This is frustrating when I make a call that requires me to dial extentions or push numbers for options and the backlight has gone off. The only time it doesn't do this is when I call my voicemail.
So, is there a way to have the dial pad stay on after the call connects.
dont think so....
Just push the "Keypad" softkey on the left under speakerphone and note
On my Wing, there's an annoying loud beep that happens when I place a call. It happens right when I select a contact, right when it goes to the "dialing..." screen. I have the keys tone turned off. Does anyone know how to disable this?
Hello Guys
I have a doubt.. I can never find a way to turn the speakerphone on after answering a call and begin it listening from the earpiece from the start; I only get the caller picture but no options on the screen when I put away the phone from my ear..
do you have this issue too?
thanks
Under the pictture and callers number there are 15 dots in a 3 x 5 square an arrow and the words slide down for more options the bottom left box is the speaker phone option.
This is on a stock 1.72 rom on vodaphone don't know if it is different on other roms.
I find it quite strange that the phone does not allow to make outgoing calls when the keyboard is closed.
Because when you have an outgoing call you can still close the phone and the call will continue. That profs that it's possible. But with to much emission? If not...
Could there be some way overcome that that limitation?
The issue is that if you close the screen, the microphone is hidden.
Yep. The MIC is on the keyboard, which gets covered when you don't have the keyboard flipped out.
The issue is that it's even impossible to answer a call when the headset is connected.
Yesterday I was outside, it was windy and friend called. The headset was connected. I had the phone in my pocket and closed the phone while I was asking my friend if he might hear any differences in the quality of my voice.
He recognized no change in quality and we were able to talk just normally without problems. Does the headset has a microphone or is always the microphone of the phone used?
In any case, not being able to answer a call with headset connected without opening the phone is quite poor.
I would like to have an app to fix this behaviour. I don't like being patronized by Motorola.
PS: I just recognized that the headset has a single button for answer/hang up. Just the application for incoming calls does not have this feature which is still quite poor. Is the standard android (without motoblur) better?
Behind that 'single button' on the headset, there is a microphone. That's why if you have a headset(not to be confused with headphone), you can make a call w/o opening the phone.
However, as I've tested, even when the phone is closed, the MIC near the keyboard blocked by the phone's screen can still function normally(via Voice Search).
