Normally this message appears ig there aren't any maps installed.
Install your desired map (or just one map) and it should work....

It did install the map and there was even a 91mb file on the stoarge card. If you click it it begins to install something but then just vanishes?
Not sure what to do.
Thanks for your help though.

Searche the tomtom FAQ and they also advise to install a map.
Maybe you should contact them directly...
They should be experts in their software.... ;-)

Reinstall the map using an sd card reader writer, before removing the card, right click on the drive that the card has been allocated ie "E" and click eject, then remove it, sometimes the delayed write function fails if you dont do this and you ned up with a corrupt/incomplete file.

I loaded the cab file on my Athena and now I get an error message that states: When I click on Network Wizard in the programs folder I get "Error in Program." My WIFI and everything else still works however, I can not launch the network wizard. I would like to know if possible what registry files or program do I delete to reinstall the cab and try again. Any help will be greatly appreciated. If not I'll just wait untill Athena Project 4.0 which should clear it all up. Oh running Dual PK if anyone needed to know.
Try to use this cab: http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=49839&d=1189278051
After install any cab, soft reset your device before use the program.
Greetings

Will this apply to the US?
I don't know, because I use other cab for italy, but I think yes.
When you get that stupid error message like on the rom I am using now; here is what you have to do:
take the cab file dirrectly from your computer into the main memory of the phone. then run it.
I get that error message when I try to run it off the card.
Also, there is a program called UPX4PPC (google it). This will shrink your .exe and .dll files BUT DON'T USE IT FOR PROGRAMS THAT HAVE TO RUN AUTOMATICALY!!! I screwed up my x-buttton that way.
anyway, once you install it to your storage card, you can shrink the EXE/DLL that you install into your main memory. I shrunk Voice Command in half and it still works.

TomTom 7 error message

After installing TomTom 7 (Version 7.450.9028) together with the map folder Western_and_Central_Europe-v7.20.1803, I was guided through the initial settings questions as well as a tour of the program. On starting TomTom (after the flush screen had been shown), I now get this error message:
Unable to start
Not enough memory is available
B***it! There are 277 MB on the system and 2 GB on the storage card available.
A soft reset has of course been done.
How can I get rid of the error message, what do I have to do in order to use TomTom properly?
Edit: I have seen all the other threads about this issue. Still, I don't find a solution for myself.
you need the newer version and it will fix you issue. also use cleartemp tool to delete temp files!

I had this version before, but it has small keyboard when trying to choose POI. Also the splash screen is a little ugly as it does not cover the entire screen. No big deal, but why not use 7.910?
With both version, I could run Garmin in the background while Tom Tom remains quick. No lags whatsover. So, something is holding up causing the error message.

Tomtom 7.910(9185) "no maps found" [SOLVED]

Hi all!
I need your help cause I really can't go on with this error!
- TT is installed in: Storage Card\Program Files\Navigator (original exe)
- The map is in: Storage Card\Western_and_Central_Europe
(version 8.15.2003 with dct)
It doesn't work, iven if I move the map in other positions inside the card...
I've installed another map, but no way, same error.
I've changed OS rom, same error.
I've changed the copy ot the TT, same error.
I'm going crazy, please help!
Any suggestion?
Keep trying...
sorry double post
You are using the wrong version 815.2003 does not work on a PDA
You want the 2023/2024 versions.
Good luck
Thanx!!! I'll try the correct map ASAP!
Thanx again now it works!!!!!!

TomTom Problem with R3A

Hey Guys,
on the R2A-ROM I used TT 7.915.9196 successfully.
Now i've upgraded today to the R3A and installed the same Version with the same Installer again.
I installs perfectly but when I start it i got the error:
"Your device is not compatible with this version of TomTom NAVIGATOR!"
What should/can I do?
Thanks guys
Did you install TomTom orginally on your Memory Card? If so everything is still there, just a link in your StartMenu is missing. Have a look for \Storage Card\Program Files\Navigator\TomTom Navigator.exe and you can just run it from there.
Yes, try that! It should work because it worked on mine, same version, etc.!

May I ask: does it refer to all the apps installed on memory card? I mean - after a FW upgrade it's enough to just run it?

Perhaps because you messed it now up with that installation and some files are changed.
Since I installed tt7 on the memory card, I don't need any installer ever again. No matter if reset or flash. Just pop in the sd card and I run the tt7.exe again. This will automatically run tt7 as if it never was off. (unless you changed the phone/imei no need for new serials with the maps either!)
As to the question if that goes for all other apps, some! Some need a serial again, some don't. Perhaps because some apps put a reg file on the stick. The others will run after a reinstallation creates the necessary reg entries in the phone again.

With R3A??
If yes, then please PM to me with the installer. Thanks
;-)
looks like not all installation packages do work. A had good results with a package called black, which installed directly on the device. another package blue with additional folders for voices included did not work with installation path on the card. maybe that is helpful for others as well.

problem after sygic installation

Hi guys,
I've installed the Sygic software for gps navigation.
The program works good but I have a problem when I connect the phone to the PC, every time I disconnect it Sygic immediately starts on my TD2.
Do you have any idea how to get rid of this? I've already tried soft reset.
Thanks
Have you installed on the devicememory or on the memorycard?

memory card
try to delete "2577" folder
Place the maps on the storagecard, but do the installation in the devicememory. By disconnecting from pc, there can be "sort of" disconnect-connect of the memorycard followed by an autostart or autoinstall of software like navigators... Try and let us know...
