Hi
I am looking for an additional cradle for my XDA II and on ebay there are quite a few XDA I cradles for sale.
Should the cradle for the original XDA work with XDA II
And my second question is that I have 1 dead pixel on my new XDA II, is this common, should I take it back but maybe risk getting another XDA II with even more dead pixels?
thanks
rich
The xda1 cradle is too small for the xda2, I think a little could be shaved off the internal part of the cradle to make it fit but if you force it in you will get a scratch on your nice shiny xda2, i know because i did it myself.

Hey guys n' girls,
I need a few spares for my XDA 2 (these are gonna seem odd, but what the hell); the things i need are:
1. that crappy rubbery cover that goes over the headset jack, i lost mine, i dunno how.
2. The back cover that goes over the battery, i ruined mine, lol. dont ask how!
3. The piece above the battery cover, (the other cover, lol) it covers the camera module/aerial piece and the little circle rubber thing that goes over the external antenna connector.
4. I need a spare battery as well (preferably a higher power/capacity one; does the XDA 2i one work in the XDA 2? if it does then i need an XDA 2i battery)
5. A new Headset, I messed mine up completely!! no joke, i still have it but i dunno how to fix all the wires back together; besides the volume control is messed up, so its not worth putting the wires back together!
6. I also need the volume control switch; the one on the side, i dropped my XDA 2 and the ridges on it got flattened! Bloody trains; the rides are never smooth!
Thas it, if anyone has any or all of these (basically has an XDA 2 which doesnt work at all, and can provide me with these spares, then it will be much appreciated! i know some are weird spares but its urgent and i need them! let me know anyone, i'll obviously pay for the parts!)
Thanks!
Hi all.
looking for a cheap affordable xda 2 lcd screen (mine is bleeding) but apart from that everything is working grand.body work is a bit banged up.
it comes with charger, cradle, silicon case, one original battery and one 2400mah extended battery (with appropriate back cover).
ideally id be looking for a whole xda 2 with an ok screen but maybe dead mobo/speaker to just transfer body/screen.
else ill try and sell mine for parts....
Anybody interested? based in ireland so shipping to uk/europe and maybe us wont be so much of a problem. ideally paypal/bank transfer preferred.
Cheers
What do you mean "bleeding"? Is it broken or does become bright/stripes? If you are looking for display - try to find here James Zhou - he can offer display replacement for a good price.
But if there is a problem with system board - screen replacement will not help.. by the way - I have XDA II with screen, becomes white after 10-20 minutes, at least with three displays, working properly on another boards. So...
nah. definitely cracked lcd. djrm.net got me going again, got a screen off him. bleeding lcd means its cracked and u can see all kinds of colours along the black edges...
the guy's very reliable. got a spotless screen off him
good day to all.
is it possible for hp ipaq rw6828 to use a xda atom housing w/o any problem?

no, you cannot fit, the circuit board cutting is differnt, 2nd, the 6828 front panel buttons are different from atoms.
Yes, you can.
For sure. I did it.
Just only phone call button problems, but OK.
Is there any? Pretty tough and not bulky.
I would like to have one too. But I think it is better option if you choose solar power charger
mee tooo i am buying bicycle holder for like a year never saw it in any shop. any luck with internet buying?

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Sport-Bike-...ultDomain_0&hash=item20c4824373#ht_5299wt_952 (i would buy this one )
2nd edit :
just bought item on third link, will post about it when i get it
Take a look at this article:
http://www.androidpolice.com/2012/0...our-email-while-riding-has-never-been-easier/
finally... i got it
so first to be honest i was expecting it to be a bit smaller. really check all the measures before buying. but i fixed it with just putting out that part for angle adjustment and cutted of what was too much of screw, and now it's ok but as much as i was looking on ebay they're all like that
second thing is that part that is holding phone get quite easily off the part, that is attached to bike, wich can cause your phone to fall, but i just simply glued it together
so bottom line is for low price you know what you get
I just bought this one from ebay, after almost one month waiting it is realy cool: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/200806586674

hi !!!! im after some info on my desire z. my brother brought the phone brand new and 5 days on having the phone ,got drunk and accidently dropped the phone down the toilet !!! ( idiot ) the screen was damaged and needed to be replaced ,the phone would switch on but no display ! so i brought the phone of him for £20 ( bargain ) i then found a place in china that sell the screen for £30. i waited 2 months for the screen to come and in contact with the person they told me that it had been posted but must have got lost in the post. he gave me my money back as i decided to get 1 from the u.k and 5 days later he refunded my money. 4 days after my refund the screen came = ). so i searched and found a video on how to take the phone apart and decide to fit the screen myself with no problems. now i have the problem that when i make phone calls ,people cant hear me =( i have tried my voice search and voice recorder and my phone does not pick up my voice up so i know the mouth speaker does not work !!!! my question is ,what part would i need to replace for my mouth speaker to work ??? any advice please ?? thanx for your time

thanx for your reply ,any ideas where i can get 1 from and how much it will cost ???
o,k ive searched around and can not for the life of me find this part !!! can any body help me please ?????
its part of the main flex cable, easily forund on ebay or amazon for 35~40usd. if you find one that comes with the whole chasis it will make replacement easier as you won't have to glue/unglue anything but its harder to find and most certainly will be used
good luck!

I have to check, but I don't think you can replace the microphone on it's own. It's part of something, I believe on the screen portion of the phone. I'll have to take a look and see where it's located. I'm not sure, but I think it's part of the flex cable.
demkantor beat me to it.
Maybe everyone you speak to is deaf
Velcro. What a rip off!

thank you so so much =) my next question is ,which flex is it ? the navi key and flex or the slider flex ??? sorry if thats a dumb question ?!? lol
there is one big main flex cable for your phone, and then small ones connecting the sdcard slot, keypad, etc
you need the big main one, if you take your phone apart and folow the main flex down to where the mic is (look @ the whole on the bottom of phone directly down from back arrrow) you will see the mic sitting in a piece of rubber. it may be possible to solder a new one into the flex but I feel it would be extreamly hard. just buy the whole big flex and it will come attached to it
