i was wondering if anyone can help
i recently bought a second hand xda 1 it was working fine , but when i tried to install WM2003 it was doing ok in the installation but during the installation the whole thing froze and nothing seems to happen.
now nothing works and there is only a blank screen. i have tried to reset the whole thing but it still doesnt still work. i think everything is deleted how do i reinstall wm2002 or wm2003 .
the active sync doesnt connect anymore
please someone help me

Anyone have rom PW10B1, i tried to use adaptrom but until step 4 everithing stop and my XDA screen becomes hang (white screen) I need to know how to solve this problem because i can't access my bootloader..i want install PPC2002 3.17.03 version.....please help......
I had exactly the same problem using 'PW10B1'. In the end I decided to upload the ROM via the SD card..everything worked fine then.. not sure what the problem is though or how to solve it.

You can access the bootloader ? i tried push power botton and do soft reset in the same time but show only OZONE on my screen. If you solved already the problem like this please let me know step by step how to do it. Thanks for your repply.

when i was instaling a new rom for my universal, it stoped at one time, now the phone doesnt work , i just can see on the top of screen USB and v1.01,
and when i push the 2 bottoms and reset for restore to factory default the white window appears till i click on 0 then nothing

which ROM were U trying to install?'Cos some of them needs never bootloader. is somewhere on ftp. Try other methods to make it running i.e. somwhere on wiki is tuto with some direct commands. Try reflash with original rom. Use search

Had the same problem a couple months ago.
Just put it into bootloader (power+light+reset).
And flash the (original) rom again.
Worked for me.

... and take out the SD-Card. This happened twice to me until I took out the SD-Card. In my opinion, the mobile will see an inserted SD-Card as ExtRom when you do a hard reset.
As far as there are no cabs on the card, nothing will be installed !

I had a similar problem. Just repeated the process with the original cable and everything worked fine. Some replacement cables do give problems.
I have a Dopod 818pro that was flashed with the wrong ROM and now all I get to is the DOPOD splash screen. I can get to the TRI color screen by pushing the camera and power button.
I have tried hard reset but seems the OS is missing from the phone.
I have the original ROM for my phone on my PC but can not use active sync as the phone does not go further than the SPLASH screen.
How can I reload my original ROM using the SD card.
Any help would be appreciated.

use the tricolor screen even though active sync doesnt see it it still flashes but u need to use the flash upgrade wizard and not the cli interface one

When I plug usb in, i get usb on the white band in the color screen

Yeah RUU same thing i was meaning that one cause theres another that uses cli but its a bit dodgy
RUU Wizard should work it never detected ma G4 but it flashed it anyway i was well chuffed cause i thought i had bricked it
I just tryed the app without the phone connected and it gave me error 260 so maybe try different cable or pc cause i had a issue with xp not detecting my phone and i had to reinstall xp just to get active sync to work properly
The main problem is that I had a bad flash, now I can not get pass bootloader screen, PC does not see device, active sync says not connected. there must be a method for loading the NK.ntf file from sd
Not came across anything like that as the SD card driver would be loaded at boot with the OS and in your case theres no OS booting it would be hard to sae it can be done but i bet someone will prove me wrong lol

Hi everyone i was wondering if anyone could help me... i have several questions about my htc touch elf see i just upgraded it to the onyx 4.something version and after 4 days the wifi stoped working it wont turn on and it wont detect my sd card either... i was wondering if anyone could help me on how to degrade it to a better ROM or anything cause when i try to degrade the onyx 4.something to 3.0 it says it cant establish a conection between the phone and the computer when i run the romupgradeutlity and when i hit the upgradeimage buttom... ... please help me.. thanks a lot!

please try a hard reset, that should help solve the problems.
i doubt if this is anything to do with ROM you flashed (since you have flashed successfully, as your phone does boot.
if none of this works please post.
a hard reset should help you though.

i see, error222.
please make sure that your USB cable is working.
pleasemake sure your computer has active sync 4.5 installed ( if windows XP)
or the latest WMDC (if vista or win7 )
also regarding the memory card, are u sure the card is fine ?
please put it another device/card reader and check, try formatting it and see if ur elf detects it.
ROMs usually don't have anything to do with memory drivers.
what HSPL/USPL did u flash ?

yeah it works on other devices.... the usb cable is working really fine and i dont know what uspl i flashed .. . like i mean everything went rite until 4 days after i instaled the onyx 4.0 ultimate everything was working fine with it but 4 days later it started to give me that problem ... and i try to change ROM but i cant it wont let me i run active sync andeveyrthing it says its conected i run the romupdateutiliy then the status bar opens up but it stays at 0% and then the error 222 shows up... but my phone goes to the bootloader but it wont pass from there.. and when i close the romupdateutility my phone switches to the status bar but stays in 0% and then my phone crashes and i have to unbrick it.
first of all please do not open 3 different threads for the same problem, i have removed the other two.
also as aman said try posting in the the rom thread.
please read thee thread which have been stickied on the ROM development thread.

Ok so for the last 2 years i was able to change my HTC P3600 rom, the last time i changed something weird happened. So i installed my rom everything works fine, but when i enter tri color bootscreen, to install another room it says USB but the orange light doesnt show up ( i tried to reconnect, install from sd card, tryed with windows 7 and xp) and nothing works everytime i get the 260 error connection problem.
