How may I backup/restore the radio stack only? - MDA, XDA, 1010 Software Upgrading

at bootloader 5.14 prompt, on XDA 1:
- when selecting GSM ROM to SD, the device says: "please connect rs232 and run PC Monitor Now".
I don't have serial cable, and I don't know PC Monitor. How can I proceed?
- when selecting CE+GSM to SD, same issue.
I have 128 MB SD card and USB cable.

Dead SX56 and SD-card reader/writer

Hi!
I have the problem with my dead Siemens SX56 still.
SX56 dead after uncomplete upgrade
I have 256Mb SD-card, SD-card reader/writer, dead SX56, XDAtools
As I understand, I need XDAtools to write NK.bf file from my disk C to SD-card as boot-load. But in drop-down menu of XDAtools, I can not find metod to write to SD-card using my external usb SD-card reader/writer.
Please help, what I need to do! I want my SX56 alive back!

Click to expand...
Click to collapse
I have 4 new drives in "My Computer":
1. Drive E for CF-cards;
2. Drive F for SM-cards;
3. Drive G for SD-cards;
4. Drive H for MS-cards.
I have MEGA-STENO (MG820) USB 2.0 8-in-1 Card reader/writer
Device is working properly, I can write and reade from SD-card in Windows98.
I see in XDAtools follow items only:
1. SDA SD card slot - unknown size;
2. Device memory (via Programme A).
Problem was in Win98.
in WinXP all is OK!
Thank You!
98 and usb have always been somewhat a hate hate relationship

Dead MicroSD

Hello
My Touch HD can't read microSD cards anymore. One day I noticed that Storage card is missing from File Explorer. I put that card (an 8 Gb SanDisk SDHC) into my laptop's card reader and all I found out is that the card has bad sectors that cannot be recovered. So I bought another 8 Gb microSD which works OK with my card reader and my Polaris but the HD doesn't read it. When I connect the HD to my laptop I get the USB2PC popup where I have de Disk Drive option and if I select it nothing happends. What could be wrong?
ROM: 1.56.479.0
Radio: 1.13.25.24
SPL: 1.54 SSPL
I got mine to work by using

No problems since.

@Andrew
Nope... still nothing...
Ok check the pc to usb.
Check on the HD Start/Settings/Connections/USB to PC
UNCHECK Enable faster data sync
Boot your pc and HD then try the USB connection again.

I already did that and nothing happened...
Ok can you connect with Activesync to the Hd storage ?
@bigdish
I can connect ActiveSync to the internal storage only. The computer cannot read the microSD card unless i plug it in the card reader via an adapter. Nor the disk utility tools can't read the card through the usb cable connection, no mather which type of connection I choose in the USB2PC popup.
Mmm
My problem was different to yours - I cound see the card in the HD but the file info was garbage - my pc cardreader could not read it so thats why I suggested flash format which cured my problem.
Have you tried soft reset on the HD without the card then insert it again ?
@bigdish
Even hard-reset it with the card taken out. I cannot understand what the problem might me and I am thinking about sending it to service. I am starting to think that this ain't a software problem

see device memory and sd card

i searched with my infant search skills to no avail. When i first got my Tmo HD2 and hooked it to my laptop (vista 64 bit) it showed up as two discs one was the device memory and the other was the SD card.
Now all i get is the SD card and it is named Double Twist. is there any way to get it back to what it was without a complete hard reset?
try a soft reset and have you tried the SD card with another device or with direct connecting to your PC?
do you have the mobile set to connect in hard drive mode? can only see sd card in disk mode.
settings menu all settings connections usb to pc - check the settings there.
i have it connecting in hard disc mode. I can see the storage card file structure fine. just not the device built in memory file structure
If you connect in "Hard Disk" mode you won't be able to see the internal memory of the phone you have to connect in "ActiveSync" mode.
thank you very much

Problems with Honeycomb v4

1) When I connect my nook color to the USB cable, the ROM and the SD-Card don't get detected.
I tried once again to remove the card, boot Nook, then insert the SD-Card; then I connected the USB cable and the SD-Card got detected.
What's the problem?
2) When I connect through Nook's OS, the 8GB SD-Card appears to have 109MB Free of 115MB.
I can't help with the first one, but the second one - seems to be how the card is partitioned, it is only looking at the first partition.

USB 3.0 connection problem?

First of all, is there a way to connect via USB 3.0 to a Mac? There is Android File Transfer which will support MTP but it's USB2.0 only.
Secondly, when I connect it with USB 3.0 onto Windows the connection drops every 2 seconds. I've heard that this is due to me having an SD card and you need to unmount it first? But if you can't use a card USB 3.0 is rather pointless because the internal storage I would assume is FAT32 and won't take files larger than 4GB anyway.
