How to unlock/unhide the Extended Rom in JAM/qtek s100

hi everybody, i am kinda newbe here
i hope everybody is fine and having good tiem wid their jams/qtek
can any body tell me How to unlock/unhide the Extended Rom in JAM/qtek s100

From another post (just search before asking )
Even Resetting is not necessary, just locate the file in your Windows folder ( it may be hidden, so don't use File Explorer on your PPC, but from your Desktop PC or Total Commander on your PPC) and tap on it. In File Explorer the Ext Rom folder wil be visible without any need to reset. Once you have done that, the next time you reset ( hard or soft) the extended rom will be hidden again. To counter that, just copy loadVDisk.exe from your Windows folder to the Sart-up folder, it will be loaded after every reset and the Ext Rom will stay visible.

Ok for the unhide, what about the unlock to delete and write to it ? ;-)

Hum...did you read my question ? As I fasr as I ca can tell, this thread deals with UNHIDING the Extended ROM or does your link mean it is not possible to UNLOCK the ER on the Magician, you might as well have said so instead of posting a link.

I also see many people talk only about UNHIDE.
I search the wiki.xda-developers.com and found that The Magician doesn't have Disk On Chip like XDAII. The ExtROM of the Magician is not locked Read Here
What we need is Somebody to write a program to deal with the ExtROM.

i need to unhide as well accessible Ext rom as it has some free space i think round about 10MB, i want to use this space as JAM has very less memory to install other sofwares, soo is there any utility yo unhide and then can made accessible read/write ext rom.

I don't see any software to do such thing.

Igo 8.3.1 & Diamond Help !!!!

I have trouble with run igo I correct (sys.txt) for run on storage card also I correct for resolution but when I run igo it's appear and shut down after appear for half second every 10 seconds and disapear help what's wrong.
I have version without exe - I use autorun installation after exe appear on the diamond in programs files. I copy this exe in folder with program ....

You're not using Igo for Diamond (I had the same problem)... Where did you get this version ?

I have iGO8 8.3.1 working fine, post your sys.txt.
also you should know that version 8.3.1 is NO WAY NEAR as good as 8.0.49 or 8.0.59 there are so many features missing on the 8.3.1!!
for example:
auto capitalisation missing in 8.3.1
longer GPS fix time
cannot change the trip meter when no route is active, it only displays compass and altitude
speedcams done show up all the time
much heavier on phone resources
PM me if you need more help!!(technically iGo 8 isnt for the diamond (yet), so may get in trouble talking here!!)

I have iGo 8.3.1 running perfectly on my device. I copied everything in the internal memory then ran installation from 2577 folder. No need to change sys.txt. Everything runs fine. I run Igo clicking on igo.exe in the igo8 folder

I suggest going with 8.0.x either rather than trying 8.3. It was very unstable and laggy on my diamond. Theres no need to try. The new features are not worth the stress. Pity is, that the new map versions dont work with 8.0.x. But that will be a matter of time, i think...

I repeat when I donwload igo was 2 folder inside one autorun inside second almost program without (exe) I started autorun and go process instalation after exe appear in program files directory. afer I create folder on the Internal Storage (Igo8) I've copy this exe inside this folder and all files from second folder, and change sys.txt like this :

Wich language is your ROM? WWE or another?
If it's WWE, put this in your sys.txt:
[device]
sdcard_dsk_num=7
It worked for me...

I dont know where you are all getting your software, but the versions you are all talking about are really poor.
I have the following:
Nav N Go iGo v8.0.0.54000 & Nav N Go iGo v8.3.1.57021 - WORKING 100%
and the sys.txt for both is:

in both of my installs there are 2 files:
2577
iGO8
and that is it, i have had no messing around with sys.txt, I do not have to go looking for program exe's with total commander or sending shortcuts anywhere.
With the versions i have, and this install procedure works for both releases of iGO8:
1, copy 2577 & iGO8 to internal storage
2, unplug phone from usb
and that is it, and you even have the added bonus of having startmenu shortcuts installed!! WOOP
also as another great feature of the way my installs work is when you flash a new rom, the first thing to popup after typing in your pin is the install screen for iGo8 and all settings/favourite locations/etc are all kept in tact!
I have compiled both of these myself from bits and pieces from various different sites and they are not available for download on any site in the configuration i have made.
just as a side note, it was me who got iGo v8.3.1.57021 to work at all on the HTC Diamond!!and variants have propogaed through the internet which dont work as well.
Obviously i cannot/will not post links in this forum as i will get banned. and i have not posted links on any other sites to this software.
BUT IF YOUR INTERESTED IN WHAT IM SAYING PM ME!!

iGo v8.3.1.57021 - on my diamond dont working...
but the version 8.3.1.54384 - work very well with this configuration:

All that has to be done is
In SYS.TXT
Change the SD card to the name of your internal memory.
ON Diamond if your SYS.TXT sais SD card IGO will not work!

I igo8 works well on diamond
but I have a problem
the diamond after a few seconds to go on hold and the screen goes black.
in theory it is right but with no navigation program.
How can I do to stay on?

Works fine on my Diamond (Vodafone) , but have problems with the TMC, it picks up signal (GNS GPS & TMC Receiver) from RDS radio stations, but does hold on the frequency and does not alert of any traffic jams.
Also I have not been able to find a U.K map with the full 7 digit postal code entry (only seems to have 4 or 5 digit entry I.E SE26 then it brings up code that relate to SE26 you sill have to entry the road name, this seem to be stepping back to prior version 8.0x

but diamond have TMC ?????

AFAIK there is no TMC in Diamond.

I can't install Igo8 on my Rhodium - can you help?

I have Igo8, official, and have inserted the SD card into my Rhodium.
It starts installation procedure, I click yes, but then I get some sort of blue Igo welcome screen, it says in the bottom right corner "starting API" and then nothing appears, and it gets back to manila home screen.
Igo doesn't appear in the "remove programs" list, but appears in the programs list - also with an entry which states "remove Igo application" and then I can only click into Igo to start it from program menus, but it says that another instance is running and closes. I just can uninstall it.
I have officially bought it but how can I make it run?

take a look here...the info in WWE sys.txt file you have to chage is the device name: change into "touch pro 2"

2.- In active sync, you have 4 "folders" you may choose the last one.
3.- Then, the first one

6.- Select all messages - HTML - all messages - Check include attachment
files and choose folders to sync.
7.- Select the folders do you want to sync with outlook.
That's all.

i mean this with all due respect... but how does that save to the SD card? that just explained how to sync the folders on his outlook...

There is possibly one way of doing this, but you have to be comfortable with registry tweaks. I do not know how to make cabs of registry tweaks so maybe someone will be willing to do so if you are not comfortable.
The solution is simply adding a String value named PropertyPath containing the new mail directory path to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ Software\ Microsoft\ MAPI in the Registry. This value should contain the directory on your storage card you’d like to store your synchronized mail on. The directory doesn’t need to be manually created; it will be automatically created upon the first mail synchronization
So be ready with a new folder on ur SD card and that path will be writen in the registry up top (i.e. storage card\my documents\email)
Also, to relocate mail attachments, you’ll need to also add a String value AttachPath to the same key (so same path as your email)
U can use registry edit or total commander i believe to do so (i recommend registry edit)

Just open outlook, click on Menu, select Tools -> Options on the Options screen go to the Storage tab and check the "When available, use this storage card to store attachments" checkbox.

why don't you just store the attachments of your email onto your sd card, and let the mails themselves retain on the phone? there is an extra option for this! Or do it like i do and connect to and exchange server, and just download what you need, that is faster anyways...

No, because there's a problem on the HD2 where it sometimes tries loading the mail before the storage card gets mounted, which breaks everything.
There are several threads just about this matter discussed these days, and no reliable solution exists so far. Search for it.

Excuse me; if you follow my steps, you'll able to storage your attachment or whatever n your storage card. I did from 2001, and always is the same, do not dude.

And that's to solve one problem, I'm not looking to get 50€, just to be helpfully, that' all.

Indexservice - Problem with

my GT-N9005 has this problem
"the program indexservice was arrested" (in Italiano " il programma IndexService è stato arrestato")
the message shows up every now and continuously, does anyone know why?

The service scan the file pdf, doc, xls, etc (no media) possibly for S-Finder

Ok, the Indexservice arrested if file (pdf, doc, xls) is > 200MB

I have same problem!
I did not find any file >200MB (I had one MP4 but deleted it).
Because it came every view minutes I freezed now S Finder and the service itself with Titanium Backup and will see if it still appears!

Yep, me too, its freezing the phone & keeps turning up all the time, that simply should not be happening & Samsung need to sort it out.

I've fixed mine now. I used a USB card holder to copy my card to then formated my SD & put everything back on one folder at a time.
Once the folder was identified I put small groups of files on until phone froze & eventuality identified the file.
The culprit was a 2.74mb .PDF file that contained text & pictures.
(That file had been on a Note 2 & a Note 1 before that with no issues.)

I had bunch of files in Dropbox including large pdf files (from 400mb), I disabled the Document Sync and the problem went away...

For me the culprit was a corrupted pdf file. My Note3 was fine after I deleted that file.
Moreover I found that the indexservice process is taking more cpu and time when I have more number of pdf files in my memory card.
So, right now either you can put less number of pdf files on your device to avoid the lag or just wait till the indexing completes.
After the indexing completes, the device works as wonderfully as it was working before inserting my memory card.

Il mio file pdf é di 6MB e pgni volta che lo salvo e apro mi da l'errore indexservice è stato interrotto.
