restoring contacts from xbackup..need help please

Hi guys,
I am a BA owner..and so I try to help a friend with a magician..but "playing" with it I erased the outlook contacts while sincronicyng So I get the .stg file to restore on device the database and after to sync to PC.. it restore all BUT contacts..activesync say is in use! So I deleted IA_contacts from startup folder, nothing! I even tryed with STW viewer..I can see the contacts but no way to restore on device... HELP :shock: :? how can I restore my contacts? Thanks in advance

Solved with Vault...but still I dont understand why xbackup sucks...

sms accounts problem

hello everyone,
i hope you can help me. when i my xdaII hard reset, i used sprite backup to restore my xda to its last condition.. the problem is i when i view the outbox, drafts, and trash folders, it showed nothing just some "0k" at the right of the screen. but when you look at the folders, at the bottom it would say "0 Items, XX unread."
how can i resolve this??

tried posting screen shots..not sure how.

Did you do a ROM upgrade? Were all databases backed up? Alot more info would be required to find out what went wrong. I suggest you log a question with Sprite tech support here

You had the sprite backup mess up your inbox. have to erase your mail and start it anew. it's all on sprite backup page..
use the latest version of the program

did not do a rom update, my xda hard reboot by itself... all database were backed up with no errors.. will log on to sprite thank you.

my inbox and sent messages are all good, the problem is with my drafts, outbox and trash folders...will try that after..

SMS Recovering

Hi,
i'm new to this so i don't anything about it.
Is there any way to recover deleted SMS's. My PDA is a Qtek s100 with WM2003.
If there is can somebody please explain me how to do it?

Did you try to see in the in Messaging>Text messages>Deleted items. In deleted items folder you can MOVE back the messages.

I mean completely deleted sms's. I have it set to automatically delete them whe i do delete and not send them to deleted messages.

Calendar database deleted or corrupted HELP!!!

I've just upgraded my BA to WM6 but I have problem with Calendar program. I can't add a new appointment and receive a warning "The database for this application has been deleted or is corrupted. Restore the database from a backup"
I have restored the database from Spb Backup but the problem remains. Can someone help me please?

If you've contacts synched with PC, hard-reset your BA and sync it with activesync and don't use Spb Backup

I must make a hard reset and select the no/yes/yes solution at the beginning.

help with missing sms account on wm2003

i ve got problems with my backup i restored after hardresetting ipaq 6340.
the sms-account is missing after restore... even in active sync theres no possibility to sync mailbox because it not possible to select!
i tryed to get the network information from my provider under > program files \phone\sevices\mms and sms to reaktivate sms account - but the sms account still not appears in > mailbox\accounts\accounts\sms,mms,mail. i cant setup a new sms account because the system is only asking for emailaccount to built... :-(((
has annybody got an idea how to repair the sms account without reinstalling the whole system ????????? is there a possibility to delete or overwrite certain coruppted files where the informaition for the accounts is stored or any other way to fix this ????
would be nice if someone could help me - otherwise i ve got to overkill the system and reinstall the whole PDA from the bottem up...
