I've just upgraded my BA to WM6 but I have problem with Calendar program. I can't add a new appointment and receive a warning "The database for this application has been deleted or is corrupted. Restore the database from a backup"
I have restored the database from Spb Backup but the problem remains. Can someone help me please?

If you've contacts synched with PC, hard-reset your BA and sync it with activesync and don't use Spb Backup

I am a BA owner..and so I try to help a friend with a magician..but "playing" with it I erased the outlook contacts while sincronicyng So I get the .stg file to restore on device the database and after to sync to PC.. it restore all BUT contacts..activesync say is in use! So I deleted IA_contacts from startup folder, nothing! I even tryed with STW viewer..I can see the contacts but no way to restore on device... HELP :shock: :? how can I restore my contacts? got a QTEK S110, which is great. Recently done a backup, but when I then tried after a hard reset to restore, it could not, as it said it was for a different device!?!?!
Now I know this is not the case, so does anyone have any ideas what I can do.
I have also done a bit of messing about, and done different backups of my newly reset pda. This time it allows me to restore, but then stops and says some files could not be copied, because they could be in use, and to make sure all programs are shut. The only one open is Activesync, which I then shut And it says that it is all finished, but all my contacts along with other stuff has not been restored.
Activesync seems to be a bit lame. Is there another program I can use to restore the activesync backups?

Had the same problem restoring with activesync. The backup i made was with country setting to "German - Austria" but the default after hard resetting the qtek is different so activesync quits restoring.
Solution:
After resetting your qtek set the country setting (Start/Settings/System/Country Settings) to the country you had set while you made the backup. The try the restore with activesync.

Contacts & Calendar are somewhat problematic with backups. Next time use Sprite or another third-party product for backup/restore.
Now to solve the open programs try to boot in safemode. There are several programs to achieve this. I believe sbp pocket plus is one of them. Also you can try to empty the windows\startup folder. Just move the shortcuts somewhere else, especially poutlook.lnk is a suspicious one. I must say I never tried this myself when I had simular probs, at that time I didn't knew to much of the PPC.
Last resort try to synchronize with your desktop, this should give you the contacts & calendar data, which I think is most important at the moment. The other data will come from your AS backup.

i hope you can help me. when i my xdaII hard reset, i used sprite backup to restore my xda to its last condition.. the problem is i when i view the outbox, drafts, and trash folders, it showed nothing just some "0k" at the right of the screen. but when you look at the folders, at the bottom it would say "0 Items, XX unread."
how can i resolve this??

Did you do a ROM upgrade? Were all databases backed up? Alot more info would be required to find out what went wrong. I suggest you log a question with Sprite tech support here

You had the sprite backup mess up your inbox. have to erase your mail and start it anew. it's all on sprite backup page..
use the latest version of the program

did not do a rom update, my xda hard reboot by itself... all database were backed up with no errors.. will log on to sprite thank you.

i've a very strange problem! I had to do a hard reset on my phone and before doing so i thought of taking the backup, for which i used htc's cd which contained sprite backup htc edition and took a complete backup in a .exe file, i remember keying in the password for it during the time but i now while restoring have forgotten the password, is there any way i can recover it? it's not more than 6 chars that i'm sure, can any help be provided.

I had a WM6 mobile. I sold it since i find difficult with touch screen input in busy schedule!.
I had backuped my contacts with PIM backup.
Now i have the backup file but no WM6 mobile.
So, is there anyway I can see the backuped contacts in PC?
So that I can enter them manually to my new phone?
