Calling card software on XDA II - MDA II, XDA II, 2060 General

Hi, I use a calling card when calling internationally. On my old Ericsson there was a section where you just input the calling card number and it prefixes it to whatever number you are calling...
Is there any dialling software for XDA out there that lets you prefix a number before dialling one from your contacts?
Thanks,
K

Caller name display

Hi All!
I have 2 contact list. First on XDA II memory, and second on my SIM card (this list i using with old phone like Simens S35).
I have a strange and BIG problem. All names of caller who make call to my phone will be not displayed. I can see only incoming call number if caller information missing on SIM card contact list. (but caller information may be include in XDA II Contact's)
Contacts information have format like +7 (921) XXXXXXX (or other +44, +49 ...)
What the problem?
How i can see caller information from my XDA II contact list at incoming call?
Any body HELP
With best regards, Maxim
P.S. Sorry for my english
most cellphones have both room for numbers on the sim card and in the phones internal mem
so if you cant solve it any other way you could always delete the content of the sim card and just use the contacts on your xda and your phone
Example:
I have record on my SIM like "Piter Mobile +7 (921) 1234567" and record in XDA II "Piter Gabriel +7 (921) 1234567"
Piter calling on my phone... I see "Piter Mobile". If i delete this record from SIM contact list, i can't see "Piter Gabriel". I see only "+79211234567".
What's problem?

Pls check numbers at SIM and at XDA carefully. Think you have different numbers at both devices.
No. Phone number from SIM and from XDA contact's is identical.
Suppose I know You use your XDA with Nokia? SIM is not inside your XDA? If so you have to receive information (address book as well!!!) from your phone via bluetuth or irda. I.e. if you dont have contacts at the SIM card your XDA will display numbers RECEIVED FROM YOUR PHONE. i THINK
No. I use at same time only ONE device
Now XDA II. SIM card into XDA
Draft! Im not crazy
I have a real problem. All standart metod to resolve already tested (may be :? )
hmm How you delete record from your SIM?
Will test on my Xda the same. Maybe smth find
To add/delete numbers to the SIM card, you can go to the SIM manager app (built in).
It will allow you to export numbers to your contact list as well. To make a number go from a contact to the SIM card, you need a third-party program. Pocket Informant (best PIM there is, IMO) can do this, don't know of any others that can off the top of my head.

App to transform dialed number, dialing rules

Hello, I currently have a Treo 650 and use a program called TakePhone to do some very useful dialing tricks. I travel to Singapore a lot from the US and when I am there I use a prepaid sim from StarHub. They have "free" dialing to the US (just pay for airtime) if you dial 018 rather than +1 before any numbers to the US. All of my phone book entries have +1 XXX for US numbers and I need to keep them that way because of auto synchronization. TakePhone can be told that when dialing from country code 65 (don't know how it can tell), replace +1 on numbers with 018 before dialing. It can also dial calling cards for you, etc.
I'll be getting my K-Jam soon and would like to replicate this functionality somehow. Anyone got any suggestions for Windows Mobile software to perform this task? I've never had a Windows Mobile device and hope that this can be done as easily as on the Treo.
Thank you in advance for any help!
bad news
+1 format numbers themselves will cause problems to you
You can not dial them directly from contacts some silly bug stops dialing.
The only solution I could find was to put a space between country code and + like " + xx (xxx) xxx xx xx "
Wonderful.

How to set up more easily make calling card calls?

I don't seem to be able to find a way to more easily make calling card calls. In other cell phones, you can set it up such that both calling card entries and phone numbers are within the phone to dial. I don't see how to do it on the Wizard.
Can someone shed some light?
Thanksk,
Setup calling cards
Hi,
You can program your calling card no, pin as follows:
phonenumber#,calling card#,pin#
Put the comma "," between the numbers which makes the phone pause for about 2-3 seconds before dialing the next sequence of numbers.

I travel between places. When I am in different countries, I use different calling cards that is local to that country so I prefer not to embed calling cards in all the contacts' phone numbers.
I've used Sony Ericsson and Motorola cell phones. Both of them allow me to program a separate calling card number and use some special mechanism to string the contact's number with the calling card number. This is the biggest missing part on Wizard, I think.
Thanks,
CJ

Calling card application for TP2

Can anyone point me to a calling card application for TP2 (WM6.5). I've used one on the Excalibur but I dont remember the name of the app. It is extremely useful to dial internation numbers with a calling card application especially when driving
I use the one from Sunnysoft.
Not free, but cheap enough.
Works very well, and will pop up when dialling a international number and ask if you want to dial out via a calling card (you can have multiple setup)

My number:sim card unavailable

Hi there ,
When i check my contact list i have a message saying sim card unavailable at the top under search. Had the phone 2 weeks problem free and this is the only issue i have. Ps also happens on my girls x10
Sent from my X10i using XDA App
I had this but fixed it by taking the SIM out and editing advanced-special number- in my old phone and adding my number.
My phone number now shows instead of the "sim card unavailable".
Yup agree with above poster... shove it in a dumb phone, edit your number then pop it back in your smart phone and it will be able to 'see' the number
Great tip. That's been bugging me for a while. Thanks!
I have a htc touch dual will that do it ? Thanks for replies

hi
i need to save my number to a special/my own number??
or i need my to save my number and edit the name to something special??
How would you edit your number using a dumbphone?
It does work, but there should be an application to fix this , it is funny that a "smart phone" can not handle "stupid tasks"
Wanted to know how to do this also. Cheers
I used a blackberry on the service provider store to edit it and be able to use taptalk...

LOL...good one...
yes!!!
thats exactly how its done... I had the same problem , removed the sim, put it in an old SE phone, edited the number and now it shows up in my X10i...
FYI: Mobile number is never pre-stored in SIM card given by your mobile operator. The SIM card only contains IMSI (International Mobile Subscriber Identity) which is the ID of the SIM card it self. And the phone does not know what is its phone number as well. And that is why that you can actually ask the mobile operator to change your phone number, without requiring you to change SIM card.
So you need to manually write your own number with other phone.
PS: Mobile phone eavesdropping/tapping hardwares also cannot see your phone number, only IMSI as the phone send their IMSI to mobile network. So movie that shows that they can sniff and see your phone number in their hardware, its fake.
i sold all my old phones
