I have just tried to unlock my XDA with XDA manipulator v1.00 with a serial cable, radio version 4.21.00 and all gives is an error on the yellow screen. Can any help me.

Hi folks just found out about the forum and the advice and information is excellent. I was wondering if anyone can help. I recently purchased a 2nd hand XDA. It appears to be locked to the O2 network and was wanting to use your software to unlock. I downloaded the XDAUNLOCK.exe and executed this as per instructions. But keep getting the message ‘Error getting unlock code’ can you please tell me if you have any other programs that will perform this for me. My details are as follows:
Rom version 3.12.07 ENG
Rom date 08/13/02
Radio version 4.06
Protocol vers 32554

You have 2 possibilites to unlock your xda....
1.) Use the XDA-Manipulator and a serial cable
2.) Upgrade your Rom to version 3.17 and use the xdaunlock.exe program

Also, you can try the XDAunlock.exe alone without upgrade. It worked for me but I had 3.18 at that time.

Thanks Stefen, sorry for sounding stupid but how do I upgrade my ROM to 3.17? Is there something I can download, buy etc ? I already tried the XDAunlock.exe as stated on my original mail but keep getting error message ?

Thanks for all the initiatives and efforts, i have faced a problem, i am using a qtek with model number: pw10a1 on the back, after upgrading to siemens rom it has changed to pw10b1, so i'll really appreciate if one of you guys can tell me how to go back to pw10a1.

even tho it's a confusing issue but it has not impact at all on the device functions ... that's why it's always a must to refer to the rear sticker no matter what's written on the device info.

Its locked on O2, i have only his USB cable and please if anyone has some direct links to unlock software and instructions for unlocking to post them here.

Hehe, seems to be any very old ROM version (Maybe one of the firsts.)
Easiest way is to upgrade to the xda-developers specialedition rom 1.2. It's based on the english 3.17.03 ROM and icludes an tool called xdaunlock. With this tool you can unlock your device. Afterwards you can stay at this rom version or cook your own rom, that you want to use...
Disadvantage is, that you will loose all your data on your device. But there is no other possibility....

PS: If you want to go back to your old rom, you have to create a copy of the ROM

After update my XDA to 4.01.16 ENG T-Mobile WM2003 O2 XDA, the radio don`t work, and then i return to downgrade to the original version named -Telefonica movistar- 3.16.75 and the radio don´t work the display show "no signal".

ROM 4.01.16 sets the device to 900/1900. You have to enter once the bootloader and set it manually back to 900/1800. Then it should work....

I have the same problem...but how did u get into bootloader? When I soft/hardreset it just reboots...as if
To enter bootloader you have to press the power button and at the same time the reset button which is located at the bottom left side -if you have the pda in front of you-

I have a Dopod M700. It actually is a HTC Artemis (ARTE300). But it doesnt have GPS like Dopod P800/W. I did a wrong ROM update using Dopod P800 ROM Image. Now my Dopod M700 is dead, and I can only enter Bootloader and can do nothing more because of "Invalid Model ID" and "Invalid Vender ID" errors.
I want to know some thing:
- Does PB + KITL method help like with Hermes devices (Is KITL mode exits in Artemis?)
- Can Imei-Check help on this situation
- Is there any solutions yet?

Yes, it could be the best solution for now.. but .. unfortunately there is no ROM image for Dopod M700. I could not find it anywhere. Please share if anyone has it.
- Does anyone know what is the CID of Dopod M700? DOPOD001 I expected but it seems not to be that one. I will try to build custom ROM

Thanks 29a, I got the error "INVALID VENDER ID". Yes, because my Dopod M700 first came with Chinese Language (CHT) and the above is WWE so actually it will raise the Error. I would like to have some Utility to bypass Language check. Actually I bricked my phone because I wanted to change to English.
So please does anyone have Chinese version please share. I would like to have it alive first.

Yes, Its really a good Idea. I dont have C3v1Unlock.zip because it was removed, so I downloaded C3V2Unlock.zip. Any time I run C3V2Unlock.exe my Computer reboots. I then changed the ROMUpdateUtility.exe and RUU_signed.nbh as instructed. But when I ran ROMUpdateUtility.exe i got "Invalid Update Tool" Error. Yes, I realized that because i have broke the Checksum when modifying ROMUpdateUtility.exe
Any idea else please!

I had that problem too. After reformatted my computer, the unlocker was running fine and successfullt unlocked ARTE200 (Orbit.)
Try using other computer or reformat your computer then reflash using the unlocker.
(or if you can make C3V2 run without reformatting, do so. coz i was donno what's wrong)

Thanks Jackey, the problem is ImeiCheck utilities run only if you are in Windows mobile with activesync connected, it does not affect if you can only enter bootloader. My Dopod M700 is still dead. Please comment

Hi all,
I am still keeping my dead Dopod M700 (Originaly in Chinese CHS). All I can do now is entering Bootloader. I am searching for Artemis Love CHS ROM but no luck so far. There is Artemis Love WWE but it did no help.
