Wardy have u got a dopod 818 pro or jammin?....As i have a jammin and was thinking of installing the dopod rom.....Have u tried both roms?

Yes, you can do that but your 818Pro will have European/Australian GSM settings instead of Asian. You need to flash the DopodAsia Extended_rom if you want those Asian settings.

I am in Australia currently, and bought my Dopod in Singapore. I am currently facing the Sleep-To-Death (STD) problem on my Dopod so I am wondering if I should try the imate ROM...

Imate Jamin rom on Dopod 818-Pro (Hong-Kong)
I tried flashing my 818-pro with the Jamin Rom... stoped after 95% (assuming when validating the device ID) and informed that the rom is not for my device... left the 818-pro dead!. My only way to recover was, to flash with MDA compact rom to bring it live again and than load through awizard the 818-pro WWE version from this FTP.
Conclusions:
1. Imate decided to disable an incorrect device???? (perhaps un-intentially).. therefore avoid using the Imate RRU utility.
2. flash NBA through the Awizard utility.
Question how to separate the Extended Rom from the NK.NBA provided ???

I don't think so. I have successfully flashed my Dopod 818Pro with Imate JAMin. However, I flashed it back to DopodAsia ROM because it's not a newer ROM.

If you still can get your Dopod to the Bootloader mode, you may try to flash it with this Imate ROM. Better than STD I guess. Good luck!
(To get it to Bootloader, press Camera button and reset the unit. Holding the camera button until you see four color bars. Insert USB connector and run the ROM file.)

Thanks for the advice Khuanchai, I might want to try this out, but am worried about getting a failed flash like in Dubi's case. It will be difficult for me to send my 818Pro for repair as there are no Dopod service centres here in Australia.
Do I need to take special precautions before running the update, such as applying the unlock CID option using the aWizard tool?

Not sure you need to unlock CID in order to flash a new ROM only but it's a must if you want to backup your Dopod ROM. I have done this to backup my Dopod ROM that can be flashed back whenever I want.
I think Dubi has failed because of incomplete downloaded file.

Unfortunately, this is in Thai but it's easy to follow if you have some experience on flashing ROM.

Thanks for the remarks.... however... My phone has been originally Chinese and I loaded the 818pro rom wwe avaiable here on the FTP> however by mistake I flashed it before with an MDA compac rom which installed a wierd Extended Rom which I can't get rid of, unleass I have a good "ship" version. Tried few time to flash the Imate Jamin rom and it quited after 95%. I am currently using the Imate version.. dated Jan 9th. which I was able to finalize with lot's of tricks such as complete the RRU by lading just a radio version.... I think (just feeling) that the Dopod818 pro wwe is better.... however in order to resolve my complete issues and to let you know if it fialed (95%) becuase of Imate or becasue of a strange Extendedrom that I have I need to have access to a "SHIP" WWE Asia version. Placed a request here on the Board but so far no one Uploaded it... Yet.
I can ensure you that My phone is CID unlocked etc. etc.... Tried some RRUs but None could identify the Imate nk.nba rom., while the original RRU of imate failes on 95%.. keep anouncing that the rom is not for me???!!!

I have backed up my Dopod 818Pro's original ROM (English version) to a BIN file that needs to write to an SD card before flashing the unit. If you want to try, please find a place that I could upload to.

Here is the original Dopod 818Pro ROM (WWE) with instructions. I had difficulty uploading file but finally finished. Let me know if you find the file incomplete.

Thanks for the efforts, however the zip file is corrupted.... I tried dnload it 3 times, the same file and zip is corrupted... I suggeste please verify that indeed your original file integrity is ok and upload it again. The best is just to attach the file to your message (if you have difficulties to use the ftp...).

The Wizard unlocker is not workinf for Qtek S200, anyone know why? and how we can do it?

Just having registered in this forum, what are the chances that new ROMs can be loaded onto this device? I'm trying to decide between the s200 and the Jamin. Given the track record af as other devices are concerned, it would seem that it may be likely. But, just thought I'd throw out the question....

Hey Floepie... welcome to xda-dev
Until now... I am not convinced the qtek s200 was as "open" as I had hoped for.
I personally get the "invalid vendor id" for ALL tried ROMs, and I still can't remove the CID. Starting to get pi.... off :!:

I have lost faith. HTC and qtek must be complete morons, if this is the case! I bought my phoen thru expansys.com, and seem to be unable to get any proper support, and I fell pretty sure HTC and qtek are to blame for this mess.
I for one, will never buy HTC again, unless someone can prove me wrong. Sorry to say.

I flash a Danish rom for Qtek S200, and thats works fine, but when I try to unlock the phone again, I've get the write error!
So Qtek have made the write protection, not HTC.
Are there anybody ho could fix this issue??

Until somebody have fix this issue I must use the Qtek rom in Danish (but that's no problem, Danish is almost like norwegian languge!

I have a Dopod 818 Pro with the original released ROM.
Then, I flashed it with JAMin_WWE_2130923_21309112_020720,
then, Qtek_WWE_2090724_20907106_020720
then, with the lastest JAMin ROM
JAMin_WWE_2130923_2139123_022021.
So, my Dopod 181 Pro has been flashed with Qtek ROM and then with JAMin ROM without any problem.
Not sure if it is my device or something I messed with my device

I flash with RUU_Prophet_2100728_21007109_020720_QtekDAN_Ship.exe

when you upgrade to qtek IPL and SPL is up from 1.xx to 2.xx and you can unlock 2.xx. You must use JAFWM to flash.

Help me I'm stupid! Orbit boot problem after bad flashing

hi I've tested a new powermap.exe dopod rom but after reboot my O2 still freez on boot screen (I can see only O2 boot screen with radio and rom version), so I can't connect my Orbit in windows mode, only in IPL boot (via usb) but I've this error when lounch any rom:
INVALID MODEL ID ,with any original rom
INVALID UPDATE TOLL ,with any modified for imeicheck upgrade
yes, I've unlock my Orbit via imeicheck but now I must have the original Germa rom for repair it...please anyone konw the solution of my problem or have any original German O2 rom?

If you had unlocked your Device with IEMI Check, and everything was fine, and you sure that your device is now CID unlocked, than try T-Mobile original ROM (should help) IF not? So ... Welcome Here

That's strange... I thought that you should be able to flash any ROM after unlocking, not just the original German one. Maybe something went wrong during unlocking? I suggest that you send an email to those guys from imei-check, maybe they can offer you a solution.

you only can get it back to life with an O2-XDA-German-ROM (which odes not exist right now).
The other option is to send the device to repair (service centre).
The unlocker can NOT work in case your device has a malfunction (it is described in DETAIL that the unlocker requires a working ActiveSync connection on the our web site where you purchase the unlock).

do you know where is the TM shipped rom? I have O2 Orbit and originary was GERMAN rom...

It is posible only if your Device is CID unlocked ... If not ... only service or imei-check...

I apologize for you. My orbit was originary German and locked, so I'm unlocked it with imeicheck utility, so I was installed a HTC wwe ship rom. And yesterday I has a problem with powermap rom. Now I've solved with TMobile rom, I don't know if working because my Orbit was CID unlocked (I belive no, because if now i try to install htc wwe ship rom I've wrond ID error message..) Do you have try to install via bootloader mode? enter in bootloader, so double click on tmobile rom.

3. I saw on the internet that someone succeed in installing a plugin simulating the Touchflo, as on HTC touch (!!!), where could i find it?

all the answer to your questions are in the forums.
Just search the topics.
You need USPL to load a rom from here that is not designed firstly for your phone..

well that's because no one has been able to come up with a way to unlock it yet (atleast none for free). you'll find two ways to sim unlock your phone here, if you'll just browse through the forums in artemis upgrading topic. but you'll have to pay for it via paypal.
about the wm6 rom, you can find one in the topic artemis mobile 6. there's a thread there that's especially started for french spv m650 users. sorry i can't post the links though, but you'll find them easily enough.

so, i upgraded to WM6 using Tom's BnB ROM, because i heared it supports GPS on SPV M650, but... i forgot to test it! (lol :S) I was'nt satisfied because it was too skinned, virtualkeyboard skinned too and QWERTY, so i "uninstalled" it and moved on Official HTC's ROM for the P3300. But the GPS currently doesn't work on HTC rom.
So now i am going to download Orange's latest ROM and flash it, i will also apply htc_default.tsk theme because Orange's theme sucks
...

...Pof, Perjan and many other good men were working on a software to SIM unlock...perhaps possible CID Unlock the ARTEMIS, but other demands in life - exams, work around and very many things made the effort die a natural death....
I can only advise you not to wait up for it.
Go the previous ways advised - I would hassle tupisdin, if I wasn't given a free code to SIM Unlock mine - For SIM Unlock
...and the USPL developed by pof empowers me to flash..so I don't need to give imei-check.co.uk any more money.

There is no free simunlocker for the Artemis. The Lokiwiz thingy does not work on this model. The USPL only cid-unlocks your device temporarily so that you are able to flash another ROM, but it does not unlock the sim.

I don't know, so why don't you ask him? There is a thread called Sim Unlock when you scroll down a few lines. That thread is made by tupisdin.

Downgrade to WM5

I upgraded my HTC P3300 (original dutch WM5) to WM6 and after that no bt connection with my carkit. After that I flashed to O2 Premium and still no bt connection (by the way great rom but far too good for me )
Now I want to downgrade to WM5. I used following rom:
