I have a big problem:
when i lost the gsm signal the phone is power off and never recive incoming calls ... until i'll power on again.
Is there some settings in order to serch the signal always...?
...cause i can't control the xda every 5 minutes if have signal or not...
I have 4.21 radio and 4.00.11 rom

My XDA always won't reconnect the network in a short period when I go a place without signal for a longtime, then go to a place with good signal. Sometimes the phone detected the signal, but It cannot recieve / dial any call. I have to switch off and turn on the phone part. I use O2 RSU 4.16 version when I got this problem.
After I upgraded the RUU to Qtek 3.16.53, then upgrade the RSU to 3.23.01, this problem seems not happen again.
Is that only my case or anyone feel this improvement too?
I upgraded my XDA to wm2003. Then upgrades my radio stack to 4.21 (both Asia and UK versions).
It worked great :lol: , until recently... I could not call from my XDA phone constantly. I have to turn it OFF AND ON every 15 minutes if I want to receive and make calls.
My mobile provider is MOBIFONE (Vietnam). They recently introduced GPRS service (still testing now). And the problem started from then. In the area I had the "G" signal, I always have to use the technique "ON AND OFF EACH 15 minutes" if I want to receive and make calls. However, it seems that my XDA work normally in the area where it did not get the G signal (I can receive and make call normally, no need to turn the phone off and on).
Is it the problem of RSU 4.21? or the problem of my provider GPRS service? Or any other reasons? Can I downgrade my radio stack?
Anyone HELP me. PLEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAASE.

You have to call to Technical Department of MOBIFONE and ask them to turn off GPRS service for your SIM :wink:

I updated my new ROM and cook a win2003 4.01.12 euro xda dev data. Im living in Asia. Ive found out that my signal in the network is quite Low compare before. I tried other sim network , still low signal. I tried other phone & its good... Do i need to cook a ROM with Asia setting datafor my XDA so I can get a good signal ? please help

From playing w/ my devices (with the same radio stack and the phone in the same physical place), ROMs with 2002 seem to show more signal bars than 2003 ROMs.

Using softbank hermes and dopod english rom... always a problem...
The radio signal always automatically disconnect/ detach from the operator, it is quite often when recieveing an incoming call/ dialing a call...the radio connection went dead and appear '!X' logo as signal...
always need to reset...to make a successful call....
It has been annoyed me for some time...please advise!!

Sounds to me like you need to upgrade your radio to a newer version for better reception. See mrvanx guide at this link.

Hi all,
i'm newbie :-(
i'm italian (sorry for my bad english) and i have buied a cingular 8525 from USA.
This device is unlocked but it have some problem with phone line.
It seem connect to cellular line, but when i receive a call it hang off.
Same thing when i make a call.
It lost signal for 1 minute than it start to work for about 30 minutes.
Want could be?
