I just updated my Cingular 8125 to the 2.17 ROM, ive updated my radio, ive got omapclock running @ 252 coming on every standby with memmaid, and its running amazingly.. the only thing I cannot seem to do is get my Wizard to CONNECT to my wireless network. My buddy has a PPC6700 from Sprint, im not sure which device it is, but it seems to connect and stay connected forever. What my device is doing is associating like a Windows PC would do if the WEP key index was off or it was trying to connect and could only associate. Could anyone please help me? I've had this problem ever since i have had the device, before the updates.. Thanks

I am very new to this forum. Well, I exchanged my 8125 and received a newer one interestingly updated with ROM version 2.25.11.1 WWE, ROM date 5/11/06, Radio Version 02.25.11, Protocol version 4.1.13.12, ExtROM version 2.25.11.102. Very fast, especially with connecting to router. I had problem with connecting to my private network with my previous phone so I called warranty people and got the old phone exchanged. Then newer version is lot better. Another funny thing I noticed is, I can not connect to my private router, when I don't have any service. This means that Cingular ROM has something that prevents the phone to connect to private router if we are out of the service area. In another way, we have to have data plan ( pay per use or whatever ) to use the wi-fi inbuilt in our phones. Which I think is not fair. What if you are out of the coverage area and you still want to get connected to wifi.
I am just wondering, is there any way to get over with this. I can assume that if we unlock the phone then there shouldn't be any restrictions as I expressed.
actually you dont have to have the phone part on. i turn flight mode on on my 8125 and i have cingular too and it'll hook up to our wireless network with no problem. thats what i use to listen to sirius on my phone. i turn it off that way it wont bother me or the music. you just have to mess around with the settings.
I have the 8125 with the latest ROM. Before I had to do a hard reset, for unrelated reasons, I had to delete the GPRS connection in order to get my wifi to connect. After doing the hard reset I've had no problems connecting to my wifi, even with the radio on, and without having to disable GPRS. Phone and all other functionality is working exactly as it should.
Hi,
I have a trinity updated to WM6.1 and radio version 1.38.00.11
I normally use push for my mails, calendar etc, but after the latest rom/radio update, I have noticed that I do not get all the updated I expects to get.
the network indicator icon in the upper panel shows that I am connected to the network, but in ActiveSync the status says "waiting for network". I have to disconnect the network and then reconnect in order to get activesync to work. After some time (from 1min to several hours) I suddenly have the same problem again. Does anyone know what can cause this? is it the radio software that is broken?
When i walk into my apartment at school i always have 2-3 bars of service but if i ever lose signal whether it is just random hiccup in the system or when i soft-reset it seems unable to re aquire signal and just shows that i can't connect the network.
Does anyone have any ideas?
I upgraded to Windows Mobile 6.1 and it still does the same thing
As mentioned in the title, the phone can no longer find a mobile network to connect to. It says "Error while searching for network", when I try to manually select a network.
It all started with 3G and mobile data not working well together - the phone would rapidly disconnect itself from the current mobile network, and then reconnect after a few seconds. I "solved" that problem by disabling 3G.
Then, the phone started losing even the 2G signal, but I could get around that by manually searching for a network, and it worked like that for two days.
Now, the phone is refusing to connect to any mobile network, and I can not even search for one. Meanwhile, everything else, like WiFi, is still working.
I tried flashing factory images (4.4 and 4.3), as well as various radio images (none of them with LTE enabled), but nothing seems to work. Do you have any ideas?
I got same thing after upgrade to 4.4.1. Started over flashing from factory 4.2 and the phone upgraded automatically to 4.4, still no mobile data but wifi is fine. Everything is stock.
