ive tried combineing all the different things to try hopefully find the right link as it shows o2.loop.de on one of the pics i thought the germans might be looking after it? but i didnt find nothing in the end ive given up.

not even on source o2 so i give up lol till its there for use to downlaod ill be happy with the new windows as it supports midi ringtones as playing midi in pc2002 is non exsistant lol.

No, it's a genuine document but using screenshots from PPC2002 as these are incidental to the installation process.
The Xda PPC2003 build is only available to selected O2 developers under NDA.

So, believe me, it is the wrong File. This is Pocket PC 2002
It is version3.17.03 ENG from the 15.05.2003
It works here on my xda fine, but itś no Pocket PC 2003...

I've just downloaded a ROM (version 3.18) for the DOPOD device (Same as XDA). On the website which seems to be in chinese or some asian language it suggests that version 3.18 is the pocket pc 2003 version. Pictures on the site seem to back this up. The screen shots shows that the ROM seems to have english support. Anyway the problem is that the ROM is in NB1 format. I don't have a SD Card so can not convert to NBF. If anyone is able to tell me any other way to convert to an exe so that I can upload it to my XDA it would be much appreciated.

Hello here is a way that i have just used to fix my 900/1800 (O2) xda.
You first need a SD Card reader/writer and an SD card.
Download RSU_ENG.exe from here. -- SORRY URL NOT WORKING --
Run the .exe and unpack PROGRAMME B to a location.
Copy the RSUpgrade.sa.CAB file onto your SD card and then onto your XDA. Run the cab file and the program will install and then reset your XDA and then the upgrade process will begin.
I recommend taking out any SIM cards before upgrading cause it may stall it, but even if it does just soft reset and try again.

What rom version is there on the dutch O2 side?
You are mentioning a download of a rom file from the dutch o2 site.
O2 Netherlands didn't give any updates for a long time.

Yes is appears to be quite recent.
The versons are 3.15.15 for the PDA and 4.16 for the GSM Rom.
The directory the files are in is only a few days old by the looks.

Yes andruf you can use these files to update your O2 xda, they are compatible with all O2 xdas in UK/EU and you should not have a problem updating... but i can't gauruntee it.

I've tried to upgrade the ROM and something gone wrong.
Now I have a XDA with a CE version but no Radio or protocol.
Can anybody tell what to do?
When I reboot the XDA I get one first screen (with the O2 logo) with only one version nr. 3.16.13. After one minute, above the 3.16.13 I get a R and above a G without any numbers. after that I get a blank screen whit a blue bar on top.

I tried doing it but it tells me that my device is not compatible with the program. I'm guessing is because I'm running the 2003 version that is been circling around the web. Also, I have the AT&T Radio Stack update. I'll try to Restore the original ROM, and then upgrade tomorrow.
One weird thing though, the readme file looks like like the last upgrade that they did (old). It menctions that updates the Media Player to 8.5, whereas the WM2K3 has the WMP 9.0, hmmmm...weird.
Whoever wants to try it, and gives me his FTP server in the next 20 min gets it! is late and I'm going to sleep, if not I'll send it to you guys tomorrow

There are 2 ROMs there:
- official-tmo2003.rar (the exe with Radio update)
- 4.00.10 NK.nbf.zip (only the ROM (nk.nbf) without the Radio part)

I haven't tested TMO2003 myself, so be carefull, especially on a non-Tmobile phone because ther is a RADIO update included inside. Maybe we can split the package, but I have to check that later.

Are you saying you can't just use the extracted NK.nbf file on its own to do a SD flash?
You can do that, but don't run the EXE if you do not want to update your radio stack.
Radio 6.24.00... so it's 900/1900, right?
Gave it a quick try but going back to 4.00.05.
Problems with phone part, no GPRS signal. and obvious T-Mobile branding.
Was interested in AIM but was not built into ROM or at least I couldn't see it :roll:

Yeah, is Windows Mobile 2003, so It does have WMP9, the readme file I guess Is just the old one, this file is not the Final and Official Release, is the T-mobile release of it, I'm guessing is the Pre-release version and used for testing, and you should considered as such. (if you want to only run whatever is official then don't run it, But If you want to be in the bleeding edge then go ahead and do it). I'm assuming once they are ready for prime time, they will rewrite the Readme file, and take out the bootimage "Test only".

Unfortunately, I'm using my current ISP (Earthlink), which only gives you 10MB of space and limited bandwidth, If someone would be willing to donate Webspace (around 10MB) I would certainly appreciate it (and the community too). I would love to host all the ROMS for people to have a central location and easy access to them, and have a kitchen where people can customize their own ROM, but unfortunately, I don't have the space

Yeah, is not ovbious, is in the \Windows directory, just create a shortcut to Programs, and that's it. (is pretty much the same as PAC-MAN was hidden in the 1st ROM release [OZONE].
I've alreay extracted the nk.nbf and put it on my FTP.
My FTP is limitted to 5 connections and 45 Kbyte/s. So it is a little slow because when there are 5 users connected you should get around 9KBps. But I guess you guys (and girls ) don't mind since my FTP has continually 5 connections since I put it on my FTP.
Another news from the source of this file:
I got this from a source deep in Tmobile land. I was told this is VERY close the the final release they'll make in August. It is WM2003 that has been customized for tmobile.

I have a question, if I load up the test rom on my T-Mo, will I be able to load the final release without a hitch or should i back up my orignal rom before??
Its always a good idea to backup your ROM and I strongly suggest doing so!
one question, I got an XDA with me, I know I will **** up my radio by loading in the PPC 2003 final edition..is there anyway which i can run the update without upgrading the radio stack??

Can someone please tell me where to get or how to produce a Rom Image. I don't have a Unix computer at my disposal, let alone be a computer developer... So was waiting for an executable installer...
When executing the Summer Program A.exe file, the program stops and asks for downloading a Rom Image and then to try again.
But I can't find it anywhere. Reading the Rom Upgrade String of the Developers XDA Upgrade, left me frustrated.... Eveyone else seems to get it right but I'm still stuck seaching for the Rom Image..... And Hell, yes, do I want the Developerts version in working order on my XDA :!: :!:

Please read a lot more of the posts in here. It is spelled out clearly and make sure you UNDERSTAND that if you use programme a to upgrade your ROM you could kill your device making it just a fancy paperweight.

Please I tried upgrading my alpine but while upgrading after it had done the radio rom getting to extended rom upgrade an error 113 (extended rom update error), tried 3 different rom same error message.Please could anyone help me? I tried to download WM6, but When asked for the serial number (mines begins with SZ and has alpha chars embedded in the number eg the format is: SZ9999AAA9999). Anyone manage to get it yet?

Hi can someone help me with this,
basically i have downloaded the rom with the serial number from my t-mobile uk mda compact 3 pda phone, downloaded the file.
active snyc'd the device made sure the device was 100% battery life, loaded up the rom file, it got to 3% whilts the pda was showing red, green and blue on the pda then started a % bar, this then stopped on the pc they was an error at 3% saying the update utility needed upgrading.
please advise as i dont understand about flashing and surely this wm6 rom upgrade should work on a correct t-mobile uk mda compact 3 that is on contract with them
please can anyone advise in simple steps on what i need to do to bypass this error im getting as im getting no where at all.
im running vista premium with winodws mobile center.

Upgrade to XP.
That saying, if i went back to xp would it be simply plugging in the usb cable from the phone and using the rom file would it work or would i have to use other prog to cid unlock even though its a tmobile phone on a t-mobile contract
as your reply doesnt help things by just downgrading back to xp

Have any one tried this on T-Mobile's MDA US Version. When you go to official download site it says in one line that it is for all MDA. Does this means for all flavor of MDA of T-Mobile inclucing US version?
