Please Help Me !!!!

I have and XDA on o2, and I am trying to unlock it with the serial cable bought from Moonlight.
I enter bootloader mode and it just keeps saying
"scanning for Com8 port"
and nothing happens..
I have read earlier threads where the com port maybe in use
How can I check if it is in use as I dont have Active Sync on my PC
I hope someone can help me

Does anyone know how to unlock mine?

hi to everyone,
i have a locked-SIM t-mobile phone edition which i tried to unlock using a serial cable & the manipulator.
the problem is that the manipulator can't find the device after scaning COM port.
i have checked that the port is not blocked by any program including the synchronization programs but there was no luck.
anybody knows what is the problem in my situation?

Be sure to press SIMULTANEOUSLY both power button AND reset with your stylus. This will bring your T-Mobile to WALLABY mode. After the screen reads GSM OK, connect the cable to your phone and PC and run manipulator.
This should work. I have the same T-Mobile and it worked with mine.

There have been posts with reports where people have had problems connecting to the pda because they have been using a laptop...

I unlocked mine on a SONY VAIO laptop successfully.

i have tried the exact steps for unlocking but still the device wans't detected by the manipulator.
the synchronization program also can't detect the device if it is pluged using the serial cable.
could anyone please help me? i couldn't use the phone since 1 month.

Wasn't there in any thread the hint to uninstall ActiveSync to get the manipulator to work?!?!
Search here in the forum. It wasn't posted as long time ago.
Or just try it when you uninstall.
I ment that there was a problem because active sync wants to connect to the XDA/MDA when connecting it to the serial....

Remember you must have the XDA in bootloader mode.

ok i have a siemens sx56, i think version 3.14 software, i bought a serial cable off ebay, and tried to use the xda manipulator, the pda tried connecting but with no avial the software was saying searchign com ports, i followed the direction on this site, of softe resetting and wat not, didnt work, so i downlaoded xda unlock, i managed to tranfer that o my phone, said error findin lock code, wat should i do now, shold i ugrade with the special edition rom, will tha xda manipulator work than, i just need to get it unlocked, but i would liek to reset the call timers and change the imei because i foudn this phone. please let me thank guys

i am dumb my rom verios is 3.14.03 eng, radio version 6.12, protocol 324e4, i cant use xda manipulator, tried xda unlock says 'error getting unlock code' , tried to install rom but it says i have to have the power cord and serail cable connected at the same time, which is impsobile because the are the same port, unless i buy a usb if that does both from whati heard, so wat should i do, help me out guys, thanks

o2 xda mini S help

i have recently purchased this phone and it is currently locked to t-mobile. I am a canadian resident using rogers network. when i turn the phone on it says NETWORK IS LOCKED PLEASE INPUT UNLOCK CODE. I know this number is generated by the IMEI if i remember correctly..... i just dont know how to go about accomplishing this. also ...my computer isnt recognizing it VIA USB............ i am just so at a loss for what to do ...please someone help

oh yeah the IPL is 1.08 and the SPL is 1.08 when i get to the bootloader screen that is all that comes up

As your phone is SIM locked,only t-mobile sim will work on it,but if you want to use any other network sim,you got get your phone SIM unlocked,to do so follow the instructions in the guide and perform the method correctly to get it sim unlocked. Check out this link for the sticky and guide:-

as much as i would love to do the unlocking myself i cant even get the phone to connect to my computer VIA the USB cable everytime i try i get the " USB device has malfunctioned " so no go there. i cant even activesync it .

ok,
If there's a connectivity problem,there are a couple of things to verify it.First which windows are you using,if its winvista,you'll have problems,activesync doesn't work with vista,secondly its not recommended to work on vista.So get on with winXP and also get Activesync version 4.5 the latest.In activesync check the option 'allow usb connections' and in your phone goto settings---> connections and 'uncheck' 'establish all network connections' or something and then try to establish activesync connectivity.If still fails,than,
2. verify usb connectivity with pc, to do so get your phone into bootloaders mode (multicolor screen) by pressing and keep holding down the camera button and simultaneously push the Power On button,your phone will wake up and go into tricolor screen (Bootloaders mode)with ipl/spl showing in red colors.When in bootloaders,connect your phone with pc via usb cable,if a small usb appears at the bottom of the tricolor screen,then its has connectivity,but if doesn't appears,then you have a connectivity problem,so:-
a. either your usb cable is faulty,get a new usb cable and try again.
b. or usb input slot of your pc is not operating,try with a different usb input slot of your pc or even try out on an another pc.
c. Mini usb port of your phone is broken,get it repaired or replaced.
check out all these options and rectify the problem.

ok just to verify i am using wins XP and i have removed entirely activesync, reinstalled it checked to see if there is connectivity VIa boot loader and still it comes back that there is a usb malfunction is there ANY drivers i might need?

dude dont know about your unlocking problem, would be nice to hear that youv solved it... wouldnt it be nice if this world had no problems? but then saying that this forum would not exist... and troubleshooters wouldnt have jobs! lol
a) Unlocking NO...
b) active sync... Bluetooth... just rememberd you cant get in can you? to connect ia bluetooth?

HTC P3300 can´t connect with ActiveSync

I cannot switch on my device. When I tried hard reset it stucks at bootloader. so tried to enter boot mode (red green blue screen) and reinstal rom. it starts and look it works properly but instalation of new room is not completed (error 270). have read simmilar topics in forums and it seems it´s because device is not connected with activesync. any ideas how to fix? please don´t say I have a brick

Cannot connect
Use the original cable supplied by HTC. There seems to be an issue with other cables.

Are your really using ActiveSync or Mobile Device Center?
In bootloader mode when connected via USB, can you read "USB" on the Bottom of the Display?

to both questions I can say yes. but nothing happens. it seem pc doesn´t recognize device.

Opens activesync at the PDA and the go to connections settings. (menu->connections).
See if USB connection is selected there.

thank you. I tried what you suggest but no change :-(

is the error you got when flashing the original HTC ROM?
if not download it from the official HTC site and then flash it using SD card flash (for more info about see the wiki)

finally fixed!!!!!!!!!!!!
I find original rom (t-mobile) and followed instructions from link provided by y_bother. big thanks !!!
