oh yeah the IPL is 1.08 and the SPL is 1.08 when i get to the bootloader screen that is all that comes up
As your phone is SIM locked, only t-mobile sim will work on it,but if you want to use any other network sim,you got get your phone SIM unlocked,to do so follow the instructions in the guide and perform the method correctly to get it sim unlocked. Check out this link for the sticky and guide:-

ok,
If there's a connectivity problem, there are a couple of things to verify it.First which windows are you using,if its winvista, you'll have problems, activesync doesn't work with vista, secondly its not recommended to work on vista. So get on with winXP and also get Activesync version 4.5 the latest. In activesync check the option 'allow usb connections' and in your phone goto settings---> connections and 'uncheck' 'establish all network connections' or something and then try to establish activesync connectivity. If still fails, than,
2. verify usb connectivity with pc, to do so get your phone into bootloaders mode (multicolor screen) by pressing and keep holding down the camera button and simultaneously push the Power On button, your phone will wake up and go into tricolor screen (Bootloaders mode)with ipl/spl showing in red colors. When in bootloaders, connect your phone with pc via usb cable,if a small usb appears at the bottom of the tricolor screen, then its has connectivity, but if doesn't appears, then you have a connectivity problem,so:-
a. either your usb cable is faulty, get a new usb cable and try again.
b. or usb input slot of your pc is not operating, try with a different usb input slot of your pc or even try out on an another pc.
c. Mini usb port of your phone is broken, get it repaired or replaced.
check out all these options and rectify the problem.
Cheers !
ok just to verify i am using wins XP and i have removed entirely activesync, reinstalled it checked to see if there is connectivity VIa boot loader and still it comes back that there is a usb malfunction is there ANY drivers i might need?
dude dont know about your unlocking problem, would be nice to hear that youv solved it... wouldnt it be nice if this world had no problems? but then saying that this forum would not exist... and troubleshooters wouldnt have jobs! lol
a) Unlocking NO...
b) active sync... Bluetooth... just rememberd you cant get in can you? to connect ia bluetooth?
email me privately on [email protected] and i may be able to help you if not ill find a way... a bit lost in the head (Attention Dissorder) cant focus...

hi to everyone,
i have a locked-SIM t-mobile phone edition which i tried to unlock using a serial cable & the manipulator.
the problem is that the manipulator can't find the device after scaning COM port.
i have checked that the port is not blocked by any program including the synchronization programs but there was no luck.
anybody knows what is the problem in my situation?
Be sure to press SIMULTANEOUSLY both power button AND reset with your stylus. This will bring your T-Mobile to WALLABY mode. After the screen reads GSM OK, connect the cable to your phone and PC and run manipulator.
This should work. I have the same T-Mobile and it worked with mine.
There have been posts with reports where people have had problems connecting to the pda because they have been using a laptop...
I unlocked mine on a SONY VAIO laptop successfully.
hi again,
i have tried the exact steps for unlocking but still the device wans't detected by the manipulator.
the synchronization program also can't detect the device if it is pluged using the serial cable.
could anyone please help me? i couldn't use the phone since 1 month.
Try 75656354
Wasn't there in any thread the hint to uninstall ActiveSync to get the manipulator to work?!?!
Search here in the forum. It wasn't posted as long time ago.
Or just try it when you uninstall.
I ment that there was a problem because active sync wants to connect to the XDA/MDA when connecting it to the serial....
Regards
LumpiStefan
Remember you must have the XDA in bootloader mode.
I was running the XDA-developers-SER-v12.exe from my laptop with my sx56 connected through the cradle beacuase it said to hook up to active sync. During the upgrade it said it couldn't verify a com or usb port or something like that and the upgrade just stopped. Now my device is frozen at Upgrading... and I'm not sure what to do. Was I supposed to connect with a serial cable to do the install. Please can someone give me baby steps - step by step, I'm not very good at this kind of thing. Thanks!
Hi ...
1. what was your original ROM version before the upgrade ?
2. Can your device be recognized by Active Sync ? ... if yes, go to \windows\startup and delete the upgrade batch file and soft reset.
3. Did you try a hard reset ?
No, my device is not recognized by Active Sync. I have tried a hard reset, but it has no effect, the screen is still frozen...

There still maybe some hope! Rerun the XDA-developers-SER-v12.exe and the upgrade should start where it left off, so give it a try.
If that fails your next option would be the SD card boot loader method. So if you don't have a PC SD reader plan on getting one.
HTH
Thanks for the advice. I tried re-running it many times, still no luck. It is still under warranty so I sent it back to Siemens, they authorized flashing the ROM. When it comes back, I now have the unlocking software from gsmlocker.com and I will start again.
Guys,
I ve just downloaded this http://rapidshare.com/files/21256078..._DUT_11500.rar romversion in the understanding that it was for the HTC 9000 PDA. There was a file called MaUpgradeUt_noID.exe which I let 'upgrade' my 9000. However, I think something very VERY big went wrong! A reset by pushing the 2 buttons and reset button on the back gives me the option 0 to reset but all I can see after that is a black screen which says USB at the top and at the bottom v1.00
What happened and is this the end of my PDA? Sync won t work anymore now since my PDA can t be detected by windows because I can t get in the PDA!!!
Is there something I can do??!!!
PLEASE HELP ME OUT!!!!
Edit/Delete Message
sounds like you're just in bootloader mode
I think you are in what's called bootloader mode. Read the wiki to check - the screen you are describing sounds normal to me you plug you device into the comp via usb (with sync over usb disabled in active sync) then install a new rom.
You really shouldn't have tried to flash your rom without reading some instructions first but I think that your device should be fine.
If you have already upgraded your rom just do a hard reset and select the option to reset.
Will this thread help?

I'm sorry, this is the thread I ment to link:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=310054
strangely enough I found out that I DID use a good version picked from this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=298020 post. In this thread mwang gives a link to here http://buzzdev.net/index.php?option=com_phorum&Itemid=125&phorum_query=read,40,30486,30486#msg-30486 where I picked the dutch version. I than double clicked the MaUpgradeUt_noID.exe file and the software for upgrading started. When he was at 100% he said the the ROM update was completed and that I had to do a reset. So, I than pushed the three buttons (2x the - button and the reset button at the back of the 9000) but all I than see is the bootloader menu with USB and V1.00...........
Sorry for putting it in three sub forum, my fault, but the device is from my work so I don t want it to be screwed up!!!

Rather late now, but if it's owned by your company for work, should you really be di**ing with it?
Solution to probl: Stuck in Bootloader
The one way of fixing your problems....you're officialy stuck in bootloader,
Here's the way to fix it:
1. Stop Activesync USB connection on your machine under connection settings.
2. Uni : Reboot Bootloader then Connect USB ( If your phone isn't in bootloader already..)
3. PC : Run mtty1.42.exe ( Download from XDA's ftp site or search the forums, I'm sure you'll find it.)
4. Choose USB in "Port" (Reconnect if can't find/reconglize USB and try remove sim and sd card)
5.1 Press Enter
5.2 USB> (This will show up)
6. Type: Set 14 0
7. Press Enter
8. Run your rom update again and it should flash this time.
did it start??
did it start?? ?
Hi. first post.
Have an o2 exec. Different brand same deice and none of the other methods worked but finally got it working. Using mtty1.42.exe it would not see usb connection and therefore could not go down that route.
I booted into the bootloader mode that says serial at the top and v1.00 at the bottom.
Connected to the pc and cant remember if i stopped wcescomm.exe or not but you can try both ways.
Then started Midget_1990_v1_0_PU10_WWE.exe rom and followed the instructions and voila.
Hope this helps someone.
"Using mtty1.42.exe it would not see usb connection"
You need to disable the usb connection of active sync under connection settings and then only mtty will pick up a usb connection..
sorry if i missed it, but so far i can't find anything showing how to flash via a sd card, My problem is that the usb connection is broken so i can charge it but not flash it, i saw somewhere it could be done via the sd card slot, but i dont' know how to do it, could someone point me in the right direction?
Hi, if im not wrong u can only Backup to ur SD not flash ur phone from it!, and i dont think u can do it, and u have to check if u have G3 or G4 locked or unlocked, and give all the phone info ! and if it can be done some1 with good skills will tell you but i dont think so !
it's g3, unlocked, but it has a French rom
The linky in my siggy leads to a very detailed discussion about this issue, and includes needed links to other threads.
i read through link after link after link, and nothing still works.
my usb is in securly and charges but doesn't connect properly. It seems to be unlocked i can pop in a sim card and it works fine. but the main problem is that it is in french. it is also a g3
I need some way of flashing it to an English rom without using the usb cable.
Last night it was connecting to my computer but only for a short period of time, i tried to flash it,but it kept giving me an error and has me removing the battery and stuff but never worked, I tried the sd card method, and but it said something about security which i read to be that the phone not being CID unlocked.
Any ideas how to get this thing to be in english?

From your answer, I see that you are confusing SIM lock with the CID lock. They are two different locks. The CID lock is what prevents you from flashing other ROM's from different countries to your phone. Meaning, you need to CID unlock it first, before being able to flash another ROM.
Now, about your USB... maybe the problem is not the USB jack, but the cable itself. If I use the cable that came with the PDA, it works and connects just fine. If I use a cable from an external USB HDD, with exactly the same configuration connection heads, it charges up but doesn't connect to ActiveSync. Try and see if you can get another usb cable to connect your device.
Can you connect your phone to ActiveSync with your cable?
but sometimes it does eventually connect, I tried 3 different cables already, the last one and only one that works somewhat is the motorola usb cable.
I'll try and dig up some other cables and try them
you have to keep soft resetting your wizard....so it will detect the usb
Hi all.
I just a got a HD2 today. And the first thing that came in my mind was "Let's go to xdaDev to get a nice custom rom". I downloaded one.
After that I put the usb and try to make it syncronize. And the problem is here : ActiveSync dont reconize the phone. I spent the last 4 hours to google why it shall not work. I tried to unstick option at "Start=>Settings=> Usb to PC" but it dont work. Nothing more after perfoming a hard reset and reinstall ActivSync.
But something is strange : When I go in the bootloader, there is the 3 color screen and the phone Display "Serial" at the bottom of the screen ; and when I start it again with USB plugged, it doesnt display "USB" instead of "Serial" it's just void and if I remove the USB "Serial" is displayed.
Plz help me to make the phone syncronize .
I use Windows XP (no firewall, no antivirus) and an official Orange Rom. My SPL is 1.42.0000. I just hope there is no hardware problem ...
Some news ...
The HD2 isnt detected on 2 other PC (Both Win XP). I managed to syncronize my old Diamond too, and it worked well. Same with a HTC Touch and a Touch Cruise, the 3 ones works.
I also tried to use Bluetooth to get an Activesync connection and this time, it noticed the HD2 but no way to get a synchronization.
Any ideas ?
Try this: goto Settings, Other (Miscellaneous settings), USB to PC, Enable faster data data synchronization. Try to tick and untick the last setting.
It doesnt work . I'm trying to follow a "GoldCard" tutorial to flash to an official HTC rom. Maybe it's Orange operator rom ... But if you have any other suggestion, let me know
I can't believe that it's such a s*** to just connect the last HTC phone to a computer. The tutorial need ActiveSync to get the SD card ID so I will not succes in this way.
Is there another software that can be used instead of ActiveSync ?
Did you flash any rom at all or are you still stock?
If you have flashed already, Have you tried to go back to the default shipped rom using sd card (not goldcard)?
Find the rom that shipped with your device, extract the RUU_Signed.nbh file from it, copy it to your fat32 formatted sd card, rename leoimg.nbh, put card in phone, boot phone with down volume held, hopefully you get the message on the three colour screen saying something like 'press volume up to start' or somesuch.
THis should not only flash the rom, but also fix spl if it has become corruptted(which appart from hardware errors is the only reason i can see that it wouldn't recognise a USB connection)
Make sure it is the correct rom for your phone, though, correct vendor and region id.
I must say if you havent flashed yet it sounds like a hardware fault with teh usb cable/connector
I'm currently running a stock Rom from a french operator nammed "Orange". I haven't flashed anything since ActiveSync just dont want to know anything about my HD2.
Maybe I shall send it back to the seller. That's so frustating ...
If i dont find a way to solve this problem until the end of the day, I will return the phone.
Anyway thx for trying to help me
To me either the cable or the phone is faulty. Try another cable if you have one, if not just have the phone exchanged.

Ah in that case then i'd seriously consider taking it back /sending it back. Especially if you have tried more than one computer, sounds to me like faulty cable or USB socket.

You must be right. I tried everything and I never had so much pain with my others HTC to get syncronization
I had the same problem not beeing able to connect to the internet via computer. After playing with the activesync settings on the Computer -> conection settings-> ticking on and off some of the boxes->ok, it worked again.
I have connected to three of these phones ( 2 french 1 english) and no problem whatsoever, everything happens without needing to touch any of the settings...is your pc even recognising that something is being plugged in on the USB?
Have you installed the latest version of activesync?
If you have done all the obvious things and it still does not work, the phone or the cable is defective...It should connect straight out of the box with a standard, un changed version of activesync.
Send it back!
