Does anyone know if the ARM-based version of Windows 11 can run on the Samsung S10+ via Project Renegade? This article mentions that the S9 is one of the devices that works. But when I go here there are no Samsung devices listed at all.
I have an Exynos SM-G975F/DS that I have unlocked and previously installed LineageOS on. It is basically my "extra" hacking phone at this point (i.e. not my daily driver) so I would love to play around with this. Any tips would be appreciated.

After months of doing research, I was told that the atom z2760 simply was not designed to have android because it is not an ARM processor, etc, etc.
But!
The new Galaxy tab 3 10.1 has an atom z2560, which is not ARM. And thats an android tablet...by Samsung...tell me if I am missing something here. but, shouldn't I be able to port the ROM from the galaxy tab 3 to my ATIV ? since they have very similar processors, and possibly identical hardware?
Architecture has nothing to do with why you can't dual boot your tablet as android is cross platform (armv6sf, armv6hf, MIPS, x86 and armv7 as the main versions, powerPC, alpha and other architectures have been done too).
There are 2 different versions of clovertrail. For some reason each one is locked to a single OS family. One model can only run Linux (android is Linux based so happily runs here) and the other can only run windows 8. There's your reason, Intel for some bizarre reason hardware locked your device to a single OS.
Bay trail has been confirmed to be back to normal and capable of running any x86 OS as normal. Clovertrail cannot.
i want to install android on ativ 3 , is that possible? , what version do you guys recommend? has anyone tried that? Thank you!
here you can see it
Bump?
Wow, it seems i bought a nono... it seems no one has it or ever heard of it...
It does indeed seem that way. Since it runs "real" Windows you can probably use something like BlueStacks on it? Actually installing Android (and having it work) will require driver support in Android which may not exist; even fairly popular Windows tablet lines like the Surface Pro family have driver troubles in Android.
I've been doing a lot of research on this tablet. Ended up picking up a refurb for $250, and with 64GB I'd like to do a dual boot if possible.
However, looking at Wikipedia, there isn't a single tablet with the Atom Z2760 with Android. They're all running Windows 8.

I'm an amateur developer, finishing up my CS degree this Spring. If someone more experienced than me thinks this is actually possible, I'll look into trying to make it happen. If there are any resources that may be relevant, post them or send me a PM.
I own a Samsung ATIV Tab 3 as well. I have not been using it since after updating to windows 10 it has become extremely slow. On the other hand I really like the pen and its responsiveness.
Have you found any way to install android or another light OS?
Ideally I would like to utilize the device as a digital notepad.
Currently, there are Bliss OS or Prime OS but I am testing Prime OS, I don't expect straightforward and easy installation but let's hope for the best...
@UserBroskyXDA, have you been successfull with Prime OS ? I have windows 10 running on my machine and its extremely slow.
Hello everyone!
This is my first post, so excuse me if I make any mistake, but I precise that I've made some researches before posting here.
So, I pledged the Remix Ultra Tablet on Kickstarter which will run on Android 4.4.4 and soon on Lollipop.
The thing is that this tablet has a Tegra 4, like the Surface 2 right? So I wonder if there is a way to dual boot with Windows 8 or 8.1 or RT or any form of Windows.
I would like to keep the Android part because I really like it, so a dual boot would be amazing.
Do you think it is possible? If so, can you help me in the process please?
I precise that I have no experience with any Surface Tablet, or any form of Windows Tablet RT.
I only have a little experience with Android, root, flash on my OnePlus One.
Thank you
That probably won't happen, I imagine Linux or Ubuntu are more likely in the future. Due to the Remix being a Surface clone already I would worry about the porter being sent a C&D letter from Microsoft.
Also I have only read of the HTC HD2 running RT thanks to the WP8 kernel that was previously available.

It's not that I don't believe you, but I just would like more answer and be sure I can't :/
Thanks
Well there's still the main issue of no android device having UEFI support, which is important for W8/10 and Windows phone 8/10. However that won't matter because Windows is a licensed OS.

Wouldn't say that RT isn't completely impossible on your device. You said it's a Surface clone and the Surface 2 does infact run a Tegra 4, like many other Windows RT tablets & laptops.
8 or 8.1 however is written for a completely different cpu architecture.
Just notice that RT and PC versions of Windows differ. You won't be able to install any programs downloaded from the internet, like on a PC. Only apps downloaded from the app store.
Personally I would rather stick with android since Microsoft's app store has very little to offer compared with Google's app store.
Is there any way I can run 64bit apps?
The tablet is pretty much new, if I knew it with 32bit OS I wouldn't have bought it. :crying:
this is why its always good to do proper research before purchasing devices
According to Alumia Italia there's a 2022 version of Galaxy Tab S6 Lite coming:
https://twitter.com/i/web/status/1522831548642385921
This new version has a Snapdragon 720G CPU in stead of an Exynos 9611 in the 2020 version
Noob question here.
When I look at LineageOS supported Samsung devices, I see the majority are Exynos. There are a few snapdragon devices supported for Samsung and of course other manufacturers.
Since the 2020 Tab S6 Lite seems to be one of the newer tablets that is supported by LineageOS, I'm wondering if this move to Snapdragon means the 2022 version is unlikely to be supported.
Not asking about future predictions, but rather because I'm ignorant of the differences between the chips/chip mfgs/device mfgs.
Is there something inherent about Snapdragons that make it hard to open up for customizing?
Is it more of a difficulty due to Samsung decisions around how they implement devices with Snapdragons vs Exynos? (Google pixels for example, of course have snapdragons and are great for LineageOS/Graphene
Anyway, would appreciate a small explanation if anyone can say why custom ROM support on Samsung non-Exynos devices seem to be so rare.
Thanks
The reason why you see so few custom ROMs for Snapdragon-based Samsung devices (phones, mostly) is that these devices are usually ones in the North American market, whereas Exynos is used internationally. Samsung's NorthAm devices are locked down tight with their Knox nonsense, which means the bootloader can't be unlocked (a prerequisite for installing a custom ROM). That's why you tend to only see custom ROMs for international versions of their phones.
Tablets, I think, are another matter, at least for the Wi-Fi-only variants (I can't speak to all the LTE variants as I don't own one or have any experience with them). Tablets are generally region-agnostic and can usually be used anywhere, so it makes no sense for Samsung to clamp down on them (unlike their phones), no matter which processors they use. So, if Samsung were to release a Snapdragon refresh of the Tab S6 Lite, I'm betting that it'll be able to be unlocked... provided this whole thing actually comes to pass, of course.
