J320FN no sim card and IMEI - Samsung Galaxy J3 (2016) Questions & Answers

Hello everyone. Samsung J320FN. I come with a problem. After reinstalling Lineage OS, my IMEI and SIM card services disappeared. Even after reinstalling the original software, the problem still persists. Before installation, I performed a wipe of dalvik, system, data, and internal storage. Prior to the reinstallation, the phone was working fine on Lineage OS.
Is there anything I can do about it? I would be very grateful for any advice. Thank you!

[Q] Internal storage low

Hello
I have a problem. I installed so many custom rom on my phone without any problem but now I got a second Defy flashed 3.4.2_177-005_NORDIC rooted with SuperOneClickv2.3.3 installed 2nd init and then WIUI v2.5.27. I did factory wipe cashe wipe and install the rom.
The problem I have the phone have only 127MB total of internal memory after the install. Anyone know how to fix this?
Thank you.
Well as nobody helped I got it finally working. I didnt see nowhere in any guide to do factory reset before updating stock firmware and somehow it got scrued up.

CM9 showing welcome screen each time phone boots

Hi! I'm using CM9 (4.1) on my Motorola Defy and I got a problem that seems pretty simple to solve but I can't figure it out.
Recently I had some problems with the SIM card, just to find out I just had to change the baseband to receive signal.
But it seems that after trying to solve that problem playing with recovery (bootmenu), each time I try to change the baseband and I restart so it takes effect, the phone just doesn't remember what I did previously, asking for the Google account all over again. And, obviously, the baseband didn't change as well.
I already tried wiping the cache, doing factory reset, and wiping dalvik and battery stats. Any help would be appreciated
Edit: Just in case, I had the SIM card problem before flashing CM, I mean, just after I rooted the phone

[SOLVED] Nexus 4 won't recognize SIM, after installing ROMs

Hello, I have a problem with my Nexus 4.
Everything was working fine (Even the SIM card) under a MIUI ROM, obtained from the MIUI port team of XDA. I wanted to install Ubuntu Phone, so I wiped everything.
When I say everything, is everything: Cache, Data, Dalvik... And I formated everything too: System, Data, Sdcard... So the problems started. I wasn't able to flash the phone to go back to stock, with the Nexus Rootkit. I installed the 1.6.6, the last version, and after many attemps I have now a fully customizable phone again, which is able to go back to stock or to a custom ROM, if I want.
The problem is that the SIM is not working. I'm trying to flash to 4.2.2 Stock again (because I've tried it two times) to see if it fixes the problem, but I guess that again, it won't.
So, any ideas?
Thank you very much indeed.
EDIT: The 4.3 update arrived and it fixed the problem automatically.

No SD card or SIM recognition after switching from stock to CM- Help!

Hello. I will go through what I have done thus far to fix this and describe the problem as best I can.
Upon booting up a fresh version of Turbo ROM, after being on TruPure for quite a long time, I booted up to find the SIM card and SD card no longer functional. The menu for cellular networks is greyed out and the sd card is not recognized in the phone booted up, or in recovery. Windows does recognize the SD card and functions as normal.
What I have tried:
Obvious things like reseating, removing, reinstalling. Reinstalling when in recovery, when booted up, everything you can think of.
I downloaded and flashed new modems through using internal storage.
I updated TWRP in case something was going on in recovery.
WIFI still works in terms of getting data
The only thing I haven't tried is backing up the contents of the SD card and reformatting due to being at work. But given this is both the SIM card and SD card, I do not believe this will solve the problem.
Has anyone had this issue or has any advice? I am obviously rooted and unlocked and sending this in for repair probably isn't a great option.
Thank you
Edit: Just wanted to add that this SIM issue first popped up after flashing the Pure Nexus ROM, then Turbo, then back to TruPure. All the same result. But it was fine before I flashed Pure Nexus.
try flash NON-HLOS.bin, hope this will help
So I ended up using the back-to-stock tool and went the nuclear option. This allowed the SIM card and SD card to be recognized. If anyone else seems to have this issue, using that method will get you back up and running at least.

Redmi Note 7 with LineageOS bootloop it self out of existence

Hi, first thing I'd like to say is that I used phones with other OS since 2015, first one was Cyanogenmod on HTC ONE (M7), loved the experience so when the time for new phone came I had no doubt that my next phone need to be the one that utilize LineageOS. For the three last years I used Lenovo P2 with LineageOS on it. I'm responsible for OS changes on all my phones and untill recently I had no issues with custom roms.
I am still boggled what happened. I installed LineageOS 17.1 on Redmi Note 7, all according to the LineageOS installation guide, and everything worked just perfectly.
Used redmi for 2 weeks but I had a chance to get on the cheap Asus Zenfone 6, so I grabbed the opportunity and use now Zenfone 6 with LineageOS.
The problem is I left 80% charge on Redmi note 7, shut it down and placed it comfortably back in a box for a week. After 7 days I tryed to boot the phone to reset it and give it as a gift but after redmi logo phone go black.
I could open Lineage recovery so I tryed to recover LineageOS, but result was the same, black screen after redmi logo no matter how long I wait.
So I tryed to reinstall LineageOS according to the guide, same result as above.
I though maybe there is something wrong with LineageRecovery so I changed to TWRP, went trough the installation of fresh batch of LineageOS from site this time using TWRP and had the same result phone dead after redmi logo.
Then I tryed to install MIU from xiaomi, everything went according to the manual but result was the same as mentioned above, well except for the part where I did a blunder and now the phone is locked back again, but still die after redmi logo. Oryginal Xiaomi Recovery don't help either.
Did anyone else expierience something like that?
And please correct me if I'm wrong but I think it must be a hardware issue not the software issue, right?

Did you format (not just wipe) the data partition? Try formatting the data partition (or try flashing a fastboot MIUI 11 Pie ROM with the Mi Flash tool).

I did format data properly, system and cache partition as it is one of the steps in LineageOS official instalation guide, before every system reinstall. I even tryed after moving to TWRP changing partition format from f2fs to ext4 but nothing helped.
Now phone is oemlocked and without opening it I can't do anything, just were wondering if anyone else had LineageOS dying on them out of nothing, even if it worked for week or two perfectly.

Please be aware that Format data is different thing to Wipe data

"Now tap Factory Reset, then Format data / factory reset and continue with the formatting process. This will remove encryption and delete all files stored in the internal storage, as well as format your cache partition (if you have one)."
Factory Reset, then Format data / factory reset are 2 separate steps not one.
Did step by step installation of LineageOS from Official LineageOS instalation guide for Redmi 7 Note.
Later on TWRP I did almost every format or wipe there is including repairing or changing partition format, nothing helped.
Still be nice to know if anyone had the same experiance of working LineageOS dissapearing from device after phone being off for full week?
