Recovery Mode 12.3" Mercedes Headunit - Android Head-Units

Dear users,
this is my first post since years here and I really need your advice. I recently acquired this headunit here:
Loading…
de.aliexpress.com
Its called H30 Plus and its an Android 12 12.3" inch head-unit for my W176 A-Class Mercedes.
In the beginning it worked fine, but after a while (and a reset) the screen stayed black - even the boot logo didn't appear (also after a power-disconnect). But the system itself is working, because if I press the "return" key on the original car's command wheel, or if I activate the backup camera the system shows my NTG 4.5 original system on the screen.
--> It just doesn't switch back to android.
On the side of the radio, there is a RST button, but it simply restarts the headunit. The seller ignores and doesn't want to understand my messages, so maybe I can get some help here:
1) Does anybody know, where I can get the firmware for this device?
2) Is there any commonly known methods how to re-flash these units (especially this one)?
Please help me out, because in working mode it is a really nice system and I want to try as much as possible to recover it!

MTCE HF firmware issue

I’m struggling with an Android unit supplies by seicane. It’s for an Audi A6 c5.
It was turning on and off randomly, seicane supplies a new MCU file v3.30 and I installed and this didn’t solve the problem.....
So I took matters into my own hands (stupidly) ?
I assumed it was a px5 based system and installed one of the latest px5 MCU files and it worked, The on off problem was solved.
However the touch buttons on the side of the screen no longer work and the button calibration in factory settings also doesn’t allow them to be picked up..... after researching more I realised that although it was a px5 ish radio it’s not quite (I don’t really understand)
Prior to my meddling the radio model and hardware displayed as “HF S8 series H2233. (1024x600)
After my MCU install it now displays the radio model as PX5.
So my thinking is that because I loaded the wrong MCU file it thinks it’s a slightly different model that doesn’t have the touch buttons to the left of the main screen?
I have re flashed the old seicane MCU to try and repair my errors and it does flash but the model name still says px5 (not HF etc) and the buttons still won’t work.
Can I undo my mistake? If so..... how?
Annoyingly the px5 MCU file works really well! But being able to use the on and off button for the radio would be handy again! ?
Thanks
What you probably forget to do before upgrading the MCU was not to export your current MCU settings after entering into the Factory settings.
If you had that file you would be able to restore the configuration.
Now, to remap the touch buttons you have first to enter into Factory setting and reset the touch panel, then recalibrate the touch panel and finally you'll have access to a working button remap screen.

Suzuki Grand Vitara - M779 Head Unit PX5 Octa Core - stuck on Bootlogo

Hey guys,
I bought a Navigation System M779 (androidautoplayer.com) for Suzuki Grand Vitara from AliExpress one month ago.
At first, everything was fine and I was very happy about it. Nothing to conplain about.
Then I went on Holidays for about 14 days, in which the car wasn't used in any way.
Yesterday I started the car for the first time after Holiday, the battery still was fine but the radio did not boot. The screen stayed black and the Buttons did not light up.
After checking the Plugs on the back, the screen showed a Bootlogo, but got stuck.
I did not modify anything and everything was fine until Holiday.
Can you please help me?
Pressing reset did not change anything. Sometimes, selecting reverse does activate the rear cam. That's it.
I don't know how to enter Recovery or how to install the Firmware.
It is an Android 9 PX5 System. This is everything I know.
Kind regards
Robin
May be able to reflash firmware using this method - https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=79144579&postcount=2 assuming that the manufacturer posts firmwares on their site, or can provide it to you via download, email, etc.
Thank you for your reply.
I tried some Firmware-files, just to see If the head unit enters Recovery. This failed.
The manufacturer also replied to a Mail, telling me that they will hand me out a possible solution next week.
I will wait eagerly.
Hallo again,
unfortunately the manufacturer did not provide a solution to recovery my Head Unit.
I managed to get into the Recovery Menu and tried to wipe data, but this had no effect at all. Still stucking in bootloop.
The information given in Rcovery Mode are:
rockchip/rk3368/rk3368
9/PQ2A.190305.002/hct204281503
userdebug/test-keys
Recovery V9.0.5.
Supported API: 3
Can anyone please help me restore the Head Unit?
Kind regards

Did you try to disconnect the main connector from the unit and leave it that way for a few minutes ?
And then reconnect it again.
Thanks for your reply... But I think I did very stupid today and bricked the device.
Reagrding to this topic "forum.xda-developers.com/android-auto/android-head-units/head-units-rockchip-px5-mcu-csn2-t3912413" I flashed my device with "Fake Android 10 - July 6th 202007061156".
The flash ran smooth without any errors. But the screen seems dead now.
The buttonlights still turn on and do blink if I press the powerbutton for about 10s, but there is no bootlogo or anything at all.
I cannot enter recovery anymore.
**** happens?!?
Kind regards

contact seller of your device and ask him for update, or if you can find a suitable software on this forum, look for your model of device
You're best bet is to go to the market and ask them to do it, it wont cost too much considering you have a chinese multimedia system.
Apart from this, on the front of the screen, above the touch buttons, their is a hole with the word "RST" written next to it. Take a pin and press it in the hole so that he swtich is pressed for about 60 seconds while the car is on, that might be able to reset the system and remove the launcher allowing you to use the system again normally.
If that doesn't work, try following a guide like in this video, then factory reset the system from recovery. I know its not the exact same system, but most chinese multimedia units are quite similar (you can find more tutorials like this one, by searching "How to enter recovery mode on chinese headunit", try all of them, one of them should work for you):
If you bought it online, ask the manufacturer to send you the firmware, then look for a tutorial on how to flash firmware to a chinese headunit.

Head unit erased itself

Hope someone can help. I have an Android 8.1 head unit (Chinese) which has been working fine. I removed it from my car and powered it up in the house with a PC PSU, this enabled me to sit for a few hours and set all my apps and home screen up just as I want it. Once all was done, it was running great. I installed back in the car and on powering up, everything was good. A couple of days later, I got in the car and the android displayed “Erasing" and took about 10 minutes to boot. On boot it has gone back to factory defaults and deleted everything. Even worse, the original launcher screen will not come on and it just says “Starting android" but does not progress any further and I cannot get into any settings.
Does anyone know -
1) How to access recovery mode, either by the reset button combination or taking the motherboard out and shorting?
2) or How to Install the original or another Android that will work with my unit?
Or any other ideas? I'm fairly confident when it comes to fixing stuff, just need a walkthrough to get me up and running again.
I had the same issue after installing a new firmware in my Junsun V1 Pro with Mtk8257 CPU. Unfortunately you're just writing that you have a Chinese head unit but all Android head units are from China...
This happened only once and after configuring everything again I have no further problems. The "Starting Android" screen appeared several minutes. So still stay patient and wait.
I thought the erasing happened because I remounted the vendor partition for write access in a wrong way. Maybe you installed a software component or performed some special actions which may be the reason for the erasing?

Audi A6 2005-2009 Android 11 head unit, looking for recovery mode

Hi,
last year I bought an Android 11 head unit from ali express and by accident I flashed a bad android rom to it.
basically now I'm looking for the recovery mode but to no avail (it literally has 3 reset buttons but all of them just end up in a black screen).
It also has a passthrough mode which is still "booting" / working fine.
Does anyone here know how to get the darn thing there?
(shop is down but I added all the images I was able to take)
Thanks in advance
I would love to know how to install recovery as well.
I just bought something similar to your unit, but would like to save a backup of the ROM before attempting to flash it.
