Hello!
First of all I would like to state that I'm a rookie in this topic, so that's why I decided to ask for some help here...
I managed to unlock my phone bootloader with dc-unlocker, I downgraded from Android 8.0, EMUI version 8.0 to Android 7.0 and EMUI 5.1.1 because I read that it might help out with the process and it worked as it supposed to, so I have no complaints about that.
Then I made a terrible mistake... Since there is no official TWRP support for this phone, I downloaded an unofficial. (https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...e-unofficial-twrp-3-2-1-0-28-04-2018.3783447/)
I managed to follow some tutorials and forums so I successfully did the following:
.\fastboot.exe devices
.\fastboot.exe flash recovery .\twrp_p10_lite_0.4.img
Warning: skip copying recovery image avb footer (recovery partition size: 0, recovery image size: 25552896).
Sending 'recovery' (24954 KB) OKAY [ 0.751s]
Writing 'recovery' OKAY [ 0.294s]
Finished. Total time: 1.595s
But the problem is that this .img file is for the Android 8.0, EMUI version 8.0 and not the one that I did it on (I forgot to reupgrade) so now I cannot open the bootloader with the phone button combinations because an error pops up... (I attached it)

Luckily I can still reboot my phone and access everything but I can't access the boot menu/factory reset/android and EMUI version updater because that same screen pops up.
Note: I wasn't able to access the TWRP at all and my computer doesn't seem to recognize my phone while on that screen.
Is there anything that I can do?

I would like to revert the firmware on an Asus Zenfone 3 Max (ZC520TL) to a previous one (13.1.4.43).
With the current firmware (13.1.4.69) I have PIN and fingerprint issues.
-I tried to go back to 13.1.4.43 using Asus Flash Tool but it does not allow going back.
-I tried to go back thru the Recovery but I got a security error …does not allow to go back
-I try using ADB but it does not show when sending command "adb devices" even though I installed drivers (ADB, MPT, etc.) and it does shows in the Control Panel when the phone is ON.
Also sent the command "adb reboot bootloader" the phone reboots into bootloader/fastboot mode but still does not allow to go back to previews firmware.

What exactly is the security error you get when you try to flash that firmware in recovery? You tried flashing this file (US version) from the Asus website through stock recovery? You should be able to do it through recovery, but you may need to edit the updater-script file as mentioned here in part 1, steps 2-4.
EDIT: Looks like you won't be able to use fastboot to flash images unless your bootloader is unlocked. Is yours?

try to unlock the bootloader, sometimes it gets locked while flashing even if the bootloader screen says its unlocked. the command -> fastboot oem unlock yourunlockcode
So, let's start from the beginning. The phone was working perfectly, and it wasn't rooted but I had the brilliant idea to manually upgrade to android 6.
The version was ALE-L21C432B207 (or very close to that) and I was trying to follow the guide in " Chapter 6: Upgrading to Marshmallow" from the MEGA-THREAD in order to update to the b560 version (dual sim).
Well, the update started, and first it started with the update of EMUI which completed succesfully, but after that it restarted and stuck at the HUAWEI logo screen. From there I can do everything that you see on the photos, but nothing manages to do the job. Neither e-recovery (failure, though it connects to wifi) nor by pressing both volume up and down buttons (update.app is still on the dload folder of internal storage I guess but does not finish the upgrade, it stops at 5%).
So I can do nothing now. My phone is not recognized in HiSuite, so I am not sure if I can do anything with fastboot. Tried everything even the menu that says factory reset (doesn't continue) and wipe cache (nothing changed after that). I don't know if maybe I should unlock the bootloader but how can I do that? I have no number available now (serial, imei etc) and also I have to wait 14 days?
Please help me, I'm desperate...

update
Ok, the fix was simple. I did a manual upgrade with an sd card to a newer version (B616). It installed with no problems.
Was trying to root my P9 lite and install twrp and everything but in twrp I deleted my os. I can access fastboot and the stock recovery but nothing else. I dont know my frimware number but i know is starts with VNS-L23. I tried to reinstall a boot image etc but i get the errors attached. Note that the phone is unlocked and FRP is unlocked

And what says fastboot, when you type 'fastboot oem get-build-number? VNS-L23 is not enough... where are you from?

I got my phone running again. I was trying to change my firmware so that i can use naugat but i will try again. Thank you very much though.
You're welcome
Hi!
I have Software- and Hardware experience, but not so Android-specific and none Huawei-specific.
A friend asked me to recover the data of a CAN-L11 stuck in a bootloop. (Stock Android 6 EMUI 4.1, OEM locked, build date Fri Nov 18 14:27:21 CST 2016)
My first thought was dumping the eMMC through SDIO - in hindsight I am so glad I didn't go this route as it would be stuck decrypting cryptfs.
I went the EDL route, dumped everything including the userdata-footer (so much easier&faster than direct SDIO).
Now I don't know how to move forward - have some questions in my head:
How to get the Masterkey from the TPM using EDL? Is that feasible? Is there an easier way? I know the PIN.
When is the TPM and userdata cleared? When I flash a signed ROM through EDL? When I flash a UPDATE.APP through fastboot? I found a stock UPDATE.APP on the internet with EMUI 4.1 for CAN-L11 - seems not to be exactly the same as currently flashed though.
Any other ideas?
If someone is interested - the knowledge I have gathered until now:
EDL-Pins for CAN-L11:

Regarding ISP/SDIO - mostly from a previous S4 mini recover:
the CMD-Pin seems to always have a Pull-Up
the Raspberry Pi has a unused SDIO-Port which worked flawlessly; my SD-Card-Reader attempt failed
