I'm rooted with unlocked bootloaders. I've oreo stock and I'd like to upgrade to pie stock through an official firmware (released by LG). I wonder which is the correct sequence for not breaking the smartphone: do I have to lock the bootloaders again ? And what about the twrp now installed ? And what should I do to be rooted again ?
To be pointed to a guide would be fantastic!!!

I have a Zenfone 2 LAser ZE550KL with locked bootloader. Android 5.0 version installed. Not yet upgraded to Marshmallow.
Can we use that official unlock app to unlock bootloader and then upgrade to marshmallow through the OTA?
Is that possible?
the answer is yes but you will do it via manual mode you will not receive any OTA updates
Yes.... ^^
But for everything work well maybe after update,
Factory reset for best run
I have the same question; I have a rooted, unlocked bootloader (unlocked via Unofficial Method in this forum) ZE550KL 5.1 Lollipop. I want to upgrade to Official Stock MM Firmware ? How to do so ?
Im currently on stock android marshmallow and I just got nougat update.Im currently rooted with bootloader and twrp installed.Do I have to relock the bootloader or just unroot?
Hello, will this be possible? I can't upgrade to the stock Nougat firmware because I have unlocked my bootloader which is causing me problems, I can't upgrade with the instructions found here in XDA, and I'm running the latest official Marshmallow build. Thanks!
Same issue here
i think we can install nougat if we have cwm recovery. anyone know if already have this recovery?

I had no issues. I'd prefer an earlier Marshmallow build though. Doze mode in Nougat is so messed up that battery life went down a lot!!
My Moto G4 came with Marshmallow installed and I performed an OTA update to Nougat. I then unlocked my bootloader and flashed some custom Nougat ROMs (7.1.2, so newer than the newest official available version). Now I want to get back to stock Nougat so I can relock the bootloader and all that jazz.
As far as I can tell, only Marshmallow firmware images are available so can I safely flash that (I'm thinking "ATHENE_MPJ24.139-23.4_cid50_subsidy-DEFAULT_CFC.zip") and then OTA to Nougat from there or will that cause problems because I already (presumably) have the Nougat bootloader version? I don't want to brick my phone!
Note I'm using a retail United Kingdom XT1622 Moto G4.
Cheers all in advance,
treela
Ah ha! Found this:

Got back to stock Marshmallow all OK
flashing back to marshmallow and being able to relock the bootloader after doing the ota wont really work. best bet is to try and find the stock nougat image and flash it.
Hi, im in full stock oreo ops28-85-13 with locked bootloader and without any modification i forced the update getting in the file Blur Version.zip , but now i really like flash a custom rom.
The procedure is the same that in nougat?
Thanks
