Hi there,
sometimes I take a screen recording.
I noticed that the screen recording is only half resolution. Is this normal or is it a problem with my phone?

It is normal, on EMUI 8.1 it can be solved by flashing this Magisk module:

Hi,
I have a problem with my X5 when it plays youtube videos (in HD or not)-I have not used it to watch other videos or movies-.When I rotate its screen horizontally, half the screen becomes white or green with some red lines and the other half plays the video normally.
I have installed the latest Flash player. Is this a hardware or software problem? Is it serious? I have DOA so I can send it back and get a new one.
What should I do?
I have taken a picture of my problem however I cannot post the link here because of the xda policy
me too. found that if you don't rotate the screen until the video starts playing its fine.
Never had this problem. What ROM are you running?
In the Build Number the last digits are B135SP02. So I guess am using B135.Am I right?
Yes right. I'm using 133 and have no problems.
Mine also has this problem on several rom versions (B135, B158, B160), with or without overclock.
I am using x5. Could there be any problem with the hardware?

Hey guys,
I have a little thing that drives me nuts for a bit. Whether this is something that is from my end of the phone
So I just got my SSD and went on recording the boot time. When I record the screen my phone constantly blurred out and re-adjust which is clearly visibly on the video. It isn't constantly sharp but instead tried to re-adjust even with the smallest of light.
How can I fix this? What I also wanted to know is why my video camera has a flash option. I just tried it enabled but nothing happened when I pressed record.
Hopefully you guys can help me out a bit :fingers-crossed:
I first noticed this after I had a very hot lamp too close to my phone while it was in a tripod and recording myself for an Indiegogo campaign video. The video sceen was highly distrorted and before that it was scrolling. Like what you see in older TV shows or movies when they record a computer screen or tv moniter. The screen will scroll up or down.
I was recording mself with my Surface RT tablet on in the background and the screen starting scrolling before becoming distrorted. (NOT the Surface RT screen as viewed on my camera like the example of recording TV moniters or computer screens. The Surface RT screen looked normal through my phone's screen and in the final video.) There is no distorting or problems with the videos or photos I took during the crazy screen or after. So I assume the camera hardware itself is ok. And at that time my phone was VERY hot.
Today I was recording myself agian on the tripod without the hot lamp. It was in the tripod for only 2 minutes when the screen started to scroll up again. This time it wasn't hot at all.
If I exit the camera app and re-enter it is fine. So far this happened only twice and only in the camera app regardless if it is in the video or photo mode.
Did I damage the phone or is this a known problem? Any ways to fix this?
Have you tried any other camera app from market?

No, but I will now. Also, it just did it a third time now. but I was holding the camera vertially and it went sideways this time. Also funny thing is my Google Play freezes 50% of the time when I click on an app to view it before I download it.

I had this problem when I flashed a kernel that was JSS for a ROM built on JWR firmware. Have you flashed any kernels? If so double check with your ROM provider about what base was it built on, JSS or JWR. Then double check with the kernel and flash the appropriate one. If you haven't flashed a kernel then i have no idea what is wrong. You may want to reflash the ROM assuming that you are using a custom ROM.

everytime i use 1080p 60fps it zooms in a bit and it kinda bothers me because id have to adjust my position no matter if vertical or horizontal recording is there another app that can record in 60fps but not all zoomed in?
You need to be a little more specific, at first reading this I had no idea what you were talking about. But realized you were talking about the same problem I have. On the stock camera app, when you set the resolution and fps to 1080, 60 fps, it seems to automatically zoom in. Even though I haven't touch the zoom and confirm there is no zoom. Weird issue that's happening on 2017u, stock B29. Of course going back to a lower fps but still at 1080p it fixed the zoom issue. But sux since I want 60 fps.
I have this problem too, any ideas on fix?
I'm pretty sure this isn't fixable easily, because what you are describing might have something to do with the actual workings of the sensor. If you want to take pictures on 1080p, and have a 3348p sensor, what pixels do you use to get the pictures?
Hi everyone,
Bought a (1) a few days ago. Have noticed that the touchscreen is misbehaving or is just bad. When I want to do short scrolls I notice that my finger has to move 2 or 3mm before the screen responds.
Anybody seen this behaviour reported? Over on Reddit someone has also observed this but the thread is dead ended.
Regards,
KL
Same issue. In gaming especially.
Not exactly related however if I'm typing and flip to landscape the keyboard doesn't respond first time, so have to reselect the typing box and attempt again.
Appeared for me in 1.5.4 update, looks like the screen freezes at 60 hz instead of 120 hz for some reason, and it feels laggy. I'm not sure, but it seems to me that when I switch to the app which forcedly uses 60hz and then switch it to some other app with 120hz, my phone got stuck at 60hz until I manually turn on 60hz and then 120hz again in the display settings.

Or perhaps you can do this :
- Settings - About phone - Click 7 times on Build to unlock the Developer mode
- Go back to Settings and then Developer mode and activate Force Peak Refresh rate
