hi guys, zenfone3 soft bricked. enters fastboot mode. There is no recovery mode, the phone stays on the asus screen while booting. I tried to install stock recovery
I tried to install twrp, this did not happen because the bootloader is unlocked. The bootloader lock cannot be unlocked via fastboot.
I tried to install with the asus flash tool, I tried 5 different stock roms, the same error I got on 2 different PCs;
run flash image script failure (failed (remote:failed to write partition))
After getting this error, I tried to do fastboot oem reset-repartition while trying to fix it, but I also got the following error;
failed (remote permission denied)
ı not fixed.

So guys I guess I have tried all I know to get my device back to life after it has bricked while I was trying to flash the TWRP.
situation is like this MX4 international version with Flyme (Unrooted).
I am now have the device in boot loop for the past week with no end.
I have no recovery image so nothing happen when Volume UP + Power.
when I go to fastboot mode I have no devices in ( adb devices ) command..... but I do have the device listed using ( fastboot devices ) command.
I tried : fastboot flash recovery recovery.img using all kind of images original and twrp and patched with the same result ( Security Deny error 2017)
I tried : fastboot update update.zip using flyme or even Cm12.1 and in both cases I get error: update package has no android-info.txt or android-product.txt ... I have tried pushing missing files into the zip file but at the end of the day I got again : FAILED (remote: not support on security).
tried erase and again security deny as well.
tried to unlock the bootloader by the well known command : fastboot oem unlock .. unfortunately FAILED (remote: unknown command).
it would be great if someone tell me I can get my device back to life... I am searching for a solution for a week now with no luck.
Bricked. Go to the customer service. You can't do nothing...
Hi I've seen threads around that have the same issue is there any help I can get.
I only have access to fastboot
my device will hang on LG logo
I've tried flashing recovery and it won't boot into it
I also tried https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=70393155&postcount=3 and cannot flash misc, fota, but I can flash cache
- the error i get here is " remote: cannot erase this partition in unlocked state "
-- so i locked it with fastboot oem lock and fastboot flash lock and i get the same error with it declaring a " locked state " forcing me to unlock the bootloader again
I've attempted to flash .kdz files with no luck as im in download mode and the guides even say to put in download mode and LGMobile support tool isn't able to detect phone saying it's not even plugged in.
- is there a .dll file or something i need I've read twice in two different post maybe it's typos
I ran LGMobile support tool and it fails after downloading the .kdz file (my guess) not being able to put the phone in download mode is causing it to do so
I'm running out of ideas can anyone help?

this does not work for me! after it says writing boot.... it fails.
alright so your still in fastboot right?
Doesnt work for me. Say
writing 'boot'...
FAILED (remote: device is locked. Cannot flash images)
Im stuck in LG LOGO and i can´t access to recovery.
To summarize, I have a Moto G5 Plus, with locked bootloader and I decided to update a ROM STOCK and made a simple mistake by forgetting the OEM unlock option in advance in the configuration menu. An error occurred on the way and tried to return to the stock. Now, when the phone boots up, it enters the boot loader (which is locked) and displays a startup error message that states that you must use the Software Repair Wizard.
trying to enter the recovery gives a code:
AP Fastboot Flash Mode [Secure]
Fastboot Reason: UTAG "bootmode" configured as fastboot
failed to validate boot image
ERROR: Failed to pass validation, backup to fastboot
Boot up failed
Is there a known solution or force a recovery to work?
Thanks to all
Hello;
I found the solution, download the latest firmware from your cell phone, download it just unzip the zip and look for the files: gpt.bin and bootloader.img, those 2 ctrl + c and files go to the folder where they downloaded ADB tools and paste the files there , then execute the steps to open command window here and execute the following:
fastboot flash partitiongpt.bin
fastboot bootloader bootloader.img
fastboot reboot-bootloader
and it is ready to install the downloaded rom.

Hi All,
Trying to flash an A1 with the following rom images and both give the error of Mismatching image and device.
tissot_images_V9.5.9.0.ODHMIFA_20180316.0000.00_8.0_f8cd1b4e8e
tissot_images_V9.5.11.0.ODHMIFA_20180504.0000.00_8.0_1a04581058
The phone is currently a brick belonging to a friend of mine, and I would like to try and get it back up and running. Fastboot can see the device, as can MiFlash, but when running the command
Code:
Fastboot oem device-info
it throws an error stating
Code:
FAILED (Command write failed (Unknown Error))
Any ideas? The device will boot into fastboot but no further, and gives a warning about being unlocked when you try to boot. I'm not sure how to check if it is a re-branded Mi5x or not, as the box is a Global version A1 box with corresponding IMEI cods to a model MDG2. The phone does have the Android One laser etch on the back however.
By bricked I mean the phone will turn on, load the warning about an unlocked bootloader and then go to the Android One "bars" screen you see before the pretty android one loading screen. Here it just stops.
The drivers i'm using come from the MiFlash install, and I've tried doing a TWRP install with fastboot but still no joy. Fastboot can see the device, and talk with it, but nothing I seem to do has got the kit back working.
Anyone able to give some help or advice?
Further info on what ive tried here

Dear everyone,
I am stuck in fastboot. I installed the greek TWRP, and cleaned my data by typing ''yes''.
I connected my phone to my PC to put a ROM zip on it, but it only glitched out (it showed multiple storages in Windows)
I restarted my phone, and it won't boot in recovery. When I try to boot to recovery via adb, it just shows
PS C:\adb> fastboot boot recovery.img
Downloading 'boot.img' OKAY [ 0.616s]
booting FAILED (remote: 'Failed to load/authenticate boot image: Load Error')
I am really scared now that my phone is hard bricked. Not sure why though.
Flashing a fastboot ROM wont work either, it just says flash done instantly.
I have done this so many times on my other Xiaomi phones I had without any problems.
And also, is it possible to turn the phone off for now? Because I dont want to have the fastboot screen burned in.
Regards

Did you try flashing the fixed russian twrp? When I flashed the greek twrp on my phone and rebooted through adb it didn't reboot so I rebooted manually and it rebooted into stock recovery. I rebooted into fastbood and flashed the fixed twrp and it worked. If you can get into fastbood you have a chance of reflashing twrp or flashing stock rom so I don't think its bricked yet
