My android head unit has the option to use carplay in factory settings but somehow I can't use it at all.
Did some searching and found out that ZLink can open carplay, but only on android 8 or newer, my unit shows that it's on android 10 but the android api in cpuz is 25 which's android 7.1.1, as Zlink gives channel mismatch error.
Did more searching but can't find the firmware I need for this unit.
Can anyone help me?
Thanks in advance.

I have an octacore Android 8.1 and I would upgrade to 9.0. But my device is a Funrover and I'm not sure if the compatibility is complete. I have read somebody has done an upgrade and some buttons didn't work after that. It exists also the risk to have problems with internal hardware, as the DSP for example.
Can you give me details about? Please.

My ocatacore unit doesn't accept this firmware 9.0 . After reset the process finishes without execute the update process. It executes just the begin of the update process but without any effect. Fortunately my unit continues working with the old version.

The firmware version 9 works fine in my Funrover octacore unit. I have formatted a USB flash of 4 GB in FAT 32 mode and the update has been well done after rebooting. Firstly, I have used a 128 GB USB flash in exFAT formtat and it didn't work. Before updating I selected XP - Toyota - RAV4 -xxx4xxx but now it works selecting Honda Accord 7 38400. I see now the external temperature on the screen altough it is still missing on the dash panel.
Oтлично!

Hi there,
I got myself the following unit on aliexpress: https://de.aliexpress.com/item/4000805871840.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.52ef4c4dBTvhGh. It has a CHS MTCE.
When I look at factory settings, it says "A-Media Auto" as device name.
It came with zlink Carplay PCB mounted on the PCB and worked with stock rom. When I changed to mod firmwares (e.g. HAL9k or Malysk) I actually lost the CarPlay functionality. zLink just stays at "waiting", however my phone identifies the unit as CarPlay available and connects over bluetooth using the carplay connection dialog. However the "use carplay now" dialog doesn't pop up. Manufacturer says, the unit would need to be returned to factory to reprogramme. Not sure this entirely the only option.
They said they don't offer the stock rom, just updates.
A friend of mine has bought exactly the same unit, so I was wondering if I could extract the OEM stock software from there and flash onto my unit. I am not an Android expert, however already changed a couple of iPhones/Tablets OEM software e.g. to LineageOS. So, with some turoials I normally find my way around. I am ok experienced on admin level on WIN and Linux.
Not sure the OEM Android is fully rooted, but I can find out, when I have the OEM unit in my hands.
Is there a (relatively safe) process to extract the stock rom and update the modded rom HU?
See my OTG thread, extract partition by partition from your friends unit, which you mention is the same, then flash your SOM.
Thanks for replying.
My SOM has an USB port soldered to it. (See photo). Chances are, I do not even use the "wire" method to connect, but just use this port?

PX6 board has a HDMI connector on it - do you mean that?
I am also interested in a PX6 stock Android 9 partition export image, as I recently bought a PX6 board which has Android 10 preinstalled and therefore I am currently limited to it and can´t "downgrade" to my preferred ROM Hal9k v4 beeing Android 9 based...
Hi,
I installed headunit reloaded for Android Auto application on my car HU Android 4.4 so that I will have Android Auto. When I am connecting the phone (Android 10) to the head unit, it appears as the image attached and nothing happens. I am using the Samsung original cable to connect. Any help is appreciated.
Not Android Auto. Try a thread discussing headunit reloaded.

Hi everybody.
I have an Ullgo hu with SC9853i processor,4 gbRAM and I searched for 9 months how to root, at the end I DO IT.
Here is my hu:
MCU VERSION Ts9.4.3-24-84-94C681-191021
SYSTEM VERSION V11.1.1_20200304.092444_AKW2-X
ANDROID 9
It's very simple:
Zip decompression.
Put the all the files on the usb stick(FAT 32 format), 3 files, NOT INSIDE of a folder.
Plug the usb stick to the radio.
Settings->car settings-> update firmware (don't touch other function), press ok on display and let the radio to do himself.
After his restart, let the stick usb connected, connect to wifi, install Magisk Manager, install Root Explore, in the Magisk Manager give permission to Root Explorer and it's done.
The root patch is taked from OWNICE C960 K6 head unit.
All the bests.

works with ullgo android 8.1
SC9853i processor,4 gbRAM ?
is the android 9 in the head unit directly from sell or did you update
The hu show me Android 9, checked with Aida 64 tel me Android 8.1.
I receveid the hu with this fake Android 9.0, I don't update.
I think you can try.
Search Ownice C960 K6 root, you"ll find on Icar Vietnam forum (need google translate); you find the root for various firmware.
How I said talking about SC9853i with 4gb Ram, many Ullgo=Teyes=Ownice=Allwinner=Topway, that use the same mainboard (with very little differences).
