Xiaomi mibox S to Nest Audio - Android TV General

Hello,
I have a xiaomi mibox S and I would like to use google nest audio as a home cinema (I don't have the space to put a sound bar under the tv)
Via the google home application, no way to connect the 2 sets except via the bluethoot but it disconnects every time the box is turned off.
So I thought I'd get the sound via the jack of the xiaomi box on a box that would be compatible with google home.
Would someone have an example of this kind of box or another solution to advise me please?
Thanks !

MirrorLink and our Galaxy S7

I've got a Pioneer AVH X4700BS receiver in my car that I'm trying to figure out MirrorLink on.
Previously on my Note 3, it simply wasn't possible - I tried a dozen different things from new kernels to different ROMs, but clearly on the S7 those aren't possible without root.
That being said, MirrorLink is built-in on our phones, which I figured would be a slam-dunk. Attach the USB cable from the receiver. turn on MirrorLink via Settings > Wireless & Networks MORE, and press the icon on the receiver screen. It communicates then the receiver says "no compatible apps on your mirrorlink device", but I can push on a "voice" icon on the receiver and I hear Google Now listening for a command on the black screen of my phone, and I hear it through the speakers... so what am I missing here?
The end-goal for me would be to have Google Maps for navigation on the larger touchscreen of the receiver so I don't have to fumble with my phone while driving.
I have no reason other than this to MirrorLink -I'm not going to be watching movies and I can always use bluetooth to listen to my music... I just want MirrorLink working for nav!
Thanks in advance for ideas and info!
The s7 and s7 edge do not have video out from the USB port. You have to use a miracast dongle to wirelessly transmit to your receiver and it should have touch control as well.

Mirror screen without sound?

Has anyone been able to mirror their screens to a secondary screen, but keep the sound playing through the head unit?
I want to mirror the display to my rear DVD screen, but it has become somewhat of a task! I bought a unit thinking it could output the image on the screen, not realizing it just served as a pass through for an aux input.
So then I moved on to using a Chromecast inside the car with an HDMI to RCA converter. I am able to set the Chromecast up and cast to it. I can even use the home app and mirror my screen to it. The problem becomes that the sound is forwarded to the device you are mirroring to.
I've tried every mirroring app on the play store with no luck. The most promising looked like Screen Stream Mirroring" but it just gives me a green screen when it links to the Chromecast. I'm also not having any luck rooting my MTCE-GS unit to enable the internal audio option.
Another route I tried was to use SoundAboutPro, or Lesser Audio Switch, but it looks like SAP doesn't work with Oreo, and LAS couldn't keep the audio stream when mirroring was selected.
Ideas?
Ever find a solution to this? In the exact same boat.

Automatic connexion for Bluetooth speaker

Hi,
I just bought a new speaker : "Bose Home Speaker 500" and I paired it to my Nvidia Shield TV. It works perfectly.
But when I shut down my Shield TV, my speaker goes to sleep too after few minutes.
And when I turn on my Shield TV again, the speaker does not wake up automatically.
I have to connect again manually the speaker by using the "Accessories" menu of the Shield or by using the "Bose Music" app on my smartphone.
Is it possible for the speaker to turn on automatically when I turn on when my Shield plays sound ? The speaker also works in WiFi. And normally, it will be updated to offer the build in Google Assistant. Maybe there will be a solution later with this? Or maybe is there an alternative solution, with an app / an accessory or a remote?
I also tried to show my pair directly with my Samsung TV, but it does not wake up automatically either.
Thank you in advance for your help.

Apologies for walking up an old thread buddy.. But did you resolve your issue?
The same issue it's prevalent on Android in general.
Example.
1. Pair up controller with Android device
2. Use controller
3. Disconnect controller until next time
4. Turn on controller for further use, Android device has Bluetooth turned on.
5. Controller didn't automatically connect.
6. Have to open up Bluetooth menu and click connect or re-pair device.
7. Device then works again.
I have several controllers and a soundbar which is like to use when I want, but I can't, personally I don't mind. But for the family it'd be nice to have as little things to do as possible.
I have the shield TV Pro, great device overall but this connecting block is quite annoying.
Also you can pair up your speaker so that the Nvidia remote turns both devices on or off.
This is under device preference / display and sound, then power control.

H96MAX Bluetooth microphone not working

Hi,
I have a H96 Max android box, with Android 9.0, CPU : RK3318.
I'm having hard time using by Bluetooth headset, as the microphone does not work.
I have used Sony SBH80 and Sony WH1000XM3 headsets. Pairing works, audio output works, but the mic doesn't.
I have made a couple of tests, including some web audio testing pages in chrome, apps like Mic test from Play Store and also in google assistant. The most information I've got from the Mic test app, as it shows red and green status when a device is on. And in fact, when the recording using the BT headset should take place, the LED is green, but there is no sound being recorded.
I have tested both headsets with a OnePlus5 and on both the mic works normally.
I have also connected a USB mic to the H96 and it also works fine, sound is recorded.
So the problem I think is that the level of the sound input from the BT mic on the H96 is 0.
I have looked into /etc/mixer_paths.xml and also into /vendor/etc/audio_policy_configuration.xml but I don't see anything suspicious there.
Can anyone help?
BR,
Astagor
Also, if anybody could recommend an Android TV box on which the Bluetooth headset works (both audio out and microphone) I would be very grateful. The requirements I have for the box are: Google Play Store works, it has an ETH connector. The rest is not so important. I want to use 6 boxes to make a constant WebRTC connection between them using Chrome. The users would use the BT headsets to pick them up and to communicate.
Thanks!
I have bought 3 more boxes:
T95 max+
T9
MX10+
on none of these devices the headset mode works properly.
The closest to working was the T95max+, it discovered properly the BT headset, but when in communication mode, the mic did not work either.
I have tested the headset with 3 other android phones, and there it works out of the box.
So I guess all 4 Android TV boxes I have tested fail to have the correct setting for BT headsets.
Anyone got this to work on a box?
Microphone not detected in t9 tv box
I am too experiencing the same problem, if anyone have a solution please share it thanks in advance

Zlink 5 | Music pauses after notification on Android Auto

Hello everyone,
A month ago, I bought a stereo with Android 11 that has Zlink 5.2.2 installed, and I used it so far with an iPhone 8 until I get the Android phone I had just bought. Everything was fine with Carplay, I used Waze and Youtube Music simultaneously and had no problems.
Once I connected my Android phone (Oneplus 9 Pro) to the stereo with Android Auto wireless, the glitches started. The music plays fine, and Waze works perfectly, but when there is any kind of notification, when it ends, the music is muted. To continue with the music, I have to stop and play it again, then the music volume comes back. If there is another notification (when the music is "muted"), the music comes to be heard slightly, but as soon as the notification ends it goes back to mute. I know it is muted because if I let the song run, and it finishes it goes to the next song (HUD) but it is still not heard.
I have looked to see if this problem was solved in any forum and only found these two:

I make a specific article for this issue because these two answers are in an article that is not specific to this problem.
If anyone can provide a solution to this issue, I would greatly appreciate it.
Data:
- Android 11 (stereo and mobile)
- Zlink 5.2.2

If you need more data, let me know. I'm new with this app, so bear with me.
I'm having a similar issue. Every notification pauses spotify. I know it is paused because the icon of the button changes from pause to play. I have to hit the play button to reproduce the music again. This really bothers me. If you fix it please let us know.

I have found a solution for my case. I have bought a Chinese android head unit and using Android Auto by cable through Zlink. Every notification from the system pauses Spotify. When I turned off Bluetooth, the issue has disappeared. I have no idea why, but it seems that, in my case, since Android Auto works by cable, all the instructions are made by cable, so if Bluetooth is turned on, it was like all the instructions were duplicate, one by cable and another by Bluetooth, like a notification lowering the volume twice, which is equivalent to a pause, I don't know. The thing is, if Bluetooth is not connected, everything works just fine with Android Auto, no pause of music by any notification or Waze directions.
This started happening for me for CarPlay on zlink version:4.0.41.01 on ios15. it sometimes dips the music but majority of the time cuts it out. disabling Bluetooth didn’t help. Does anyone have a fix?
