I just recently bought a Pebble watch and now my bluetooth connection to my HTC audio dongle has been acting weird.
I have an NFC sticker in my car and when scanned it turns on bluetooth, connects to the bluetooth audio dongle, launches Google Play music, then plays the music.
Ever since I bought the the Pebble it goes through this process when the sticker is scanned, but then the phone disconnects from the dongle and music playback stops. I have a Bluetooth Auto Connect widget on my home screen and when pressed it quickly makes a connection again. I can always add that task to the end of the rest of the steps onto my NFC sticker to reconnect, but why is it disconnecting in the first place?
I'll also note that I'm not using my Pebble at the time, so it seems like it disconnects from the dongle and tries to search for the Pebble. Any ideas what's going on and why it would be disconnecting from the dongle after it clearly makes a connection?
Any help would be appreciated...this is getting super annoying.

The reason it is doing this, is because the Pebble people won't get BTLE (Smart) working on Android, so it has to use the "old" Bluetooth, and it's a single point connect system (it can only connect to 1 device at a time, and switching takes a while to do, and mainly added for music/phone being 2 devices). If they would support Smart, that's a different "radio" (but same chip) and was design to switch VERY quickly and hook to many devices, so you could be connected to both the radio (old BT radio) and the watch (Smart radio) at the same time. This is why I still don't have a Pebble, and won't get one until they support Smart on Android.
My guess as to why it switches, is they're custom app is seeing the disconnect (the connect to the radio) from the pebble, and forcing a reconnect.

So will I be able to have the Pebble and my audio dongle connected at the same time? I'm at work and left the Pebble at home so can't experiment at the moment. It would be a shame if I can't, the main reason for getting the Pebble was to use it as a remote while the phone is connected to the dongle.
But when I do reconnect to the dongle it stays connected and works properly and doesn't disconnect. I'll just add on a pause in the NFC steps using tasker then add in another step to reconnect to the dongle, hopefully this will get it working back to "normal" again.
I didn't realize BTLE didn't work on Android with the Pebble. But what I did notice which is different from connecting to other bluetooth devices is when Pebble is connected to the phone the Bluetooth symbol on the notification bar doesn't have the two little triangles on either side of the B symbol such as when my dongle or other bluetooth devices I have are connected, yet the Pebble is still connected to the phone and works fine. I assumed it was because it was using BTLE.
Thanks for the info
I have three audio output sources I use with my Shield. TV speakers that are paired through HDMI, JBL L16 speaker that are paired with bluetooth and headphones that are paired with bluetooth.
I cant for the life of me figure out an easy way to switch between them.
What I have been doing is un pairing the connected bluetooth item I don’t want to use then the Shield connects to the TV speakers. Then to select the bluetooth item I want the Shied to send audio to I have to repair it. Just turning off the bluetooth item does not seem to work because to get it to connect again I have to unpair and repair.
This seem like a very convoluted way of doing something that should be simple.
I just got my Shield a couple of days ago so I hope I’m missing something simple.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Shield Pro 500GB V.1.4 Firmware
Result?
Did you ever figure it out? I am in the same boat right now and thinking of returning my Shield because I can't figure out a simple way to switch from my USB headphones and the hbmi TV speakers.
Please respond either way. I hope you figured it out.
Hi,
I was wondering if there is a way to stream Audio from firetv stick to my phone via Bluetooth or WiFi and watch movies without disturbing others at night. Any help on this will be appreciated
Absolutely, this is a pretty easy one...
I have a Vizio Smart1080 blah blah etc etc... On my phone I've downloaded SmartCast Mobile found within Googles Slay Store. Within Vizio's settings, you can set the TV remote up as the firestick by use of CEC, which allows your TV remote to sync to the fire remote controlling complete functionality. Then, I setup SmartCast Mobile by following instructions that were given after the the setup of SM on my phone on the TV's end of things. Basically If your Tv is 'smart', yes. there is a way </BushDidIt>
Stereo Bluetooth is the best option
You can use any stereo bluetooth headset with firetv and the audio will be transmitted from stick to the headset.

I'm struggling to set up some new headphones. Amazon state they don't support headphones with a microphone.
Any workaround please?
Hello everyone,
A month ago, I bought a stereo with Android 11 that has Zlink 5.2.2 installed, and I used it so far with an iPhone 8 until I get the Android phone I had just bought. Everything was fine with Carplay, I used Waze and Youtube Music simultaneously and had no problems.
Once I connected my Android phone (Oneplus 9 Pro) to the stereo with Android Auto wireless, the glitches started. The music plays fine, and Waze works perfectly, but when there is any kind of notification, when it ends, the music is muted. To continue with the music, I have to stop and play it again, then the music volume comes back. If there is another notification (when the music is "muted"), the music comes to be heard slightly, but as soon as the notification ends it goes back to mute. I know it is muted because if I let the song run, and it finishes it goes to the next song (HUD) but it is still not heard.
I have looked to see if this problem was solved in any forum and only found these two:

I make a specific article for this issue because these two answers are in an article that is not specific to this problem.
If anyone can provide a solution to this issue, I would greatly appreciate it.
Data:
- Android 11 (stereo and mobile)
- Zlink 5.2.2

If you need more data, let me know. I'm new with this app, so bear with me.
I'm having a similar issue. Every notification pauses spotify. I know it is paused because the icon of the button changes from pause to play. I have to hit the play button to reproduce the music again. This really bothers me. If you fix it please let us know.

I have found a solution for my case. I have bought a Chinese android head unit and using Android Auto by cable through Zlink. Every notification from the system pauses Spotify. When I turned off Bluetooth, the issue has disappeared. I have no idea why, but it seems that, in my case, since Android Auto works by cable, all the instructions are made by cable, so if Bluetooth is turned on, it was like all the instructions were duplicate, one by cable and another by Bluetooth, like a notification lowering the volume twice, which is equivalent to a pause, I don't know. The thing is, if Bluetooth is not connected, everything works just fine with Android Auto, no pause of music by any notification or Waze directions.
This started happening for me for CarPlay on zlink version:4.0.41.01 on ios15. it sometimes dips the music but majority of the time cuts it out. disabling Bluetooth didn’t help. Does anyone have a fix?
