Hello. I wasn't too sure where to put this. I have a project tango tablet that is completely unresponsive save for the charge indicator when it is plugged in. Is it possible to bring this back from the dead? Also does anybody know if there is a key combo to put the tablet into apx mode?

Anyone having boot problems?
Waiting the case, i have put my tab in his box moving from a place to another, when i took it i saw a green andoid image with the message "POWER RESET or UNKNOWN UPLOAD MODE".
Now it is blocked in this message state. Can't turn off, reboot ...use it...
Anyone know the way to reboot (key combination)? if galaxy tab has a recovery system? or something in order to resolve this problem?
Just to know, no root attempts, only some application normal installed from the market...
hi, i think if you press the power button and leave it pressed, it will reboot.
after the battery charge finished and the recharged all work fine...
i think the "block state" has been caused from the home+volume keys that probably were were pressed in the box..
it would be usefull to know these key-press effects
They are standard android combos. Google is your friend.
I stumbled across this screen while my Samsung SGH-I897 (Captivate) was powered down, hooked up to my PC using the USB cable and the battery was half way charged. I held down both the power and volume up buttons for a few seconds and got to this screen before the unit attempted to boot. It remained there until I held down the same key sequence for about 5-7 seconds. It's now back to a powered off state, still hooked up to my PC via the USB cable, and the display has the standard large battery icon showing it at about 50% charged. Leaving the Captivate idle will continue to charge my phone via USB (abeit slower than having it attached to the power adapter) and the screen shuts itself off. It practically looks like it's fully off or fully dead like this, but it's not.
Can any body help? I did install the newest viper rom but it never got out of the samsung logo. When i try to get back to stock with Odin i have to live my phone all night just to see FAIL. I tried again and again until my phone just died. Now it wont turn on, turn any light on or make a sound is DEAD. When i had the iphone i could just go to itunes and fix it but i dont know what do do with this 1. Please let me know if anybody knows how to fix it. Thanks.
You can't boot it into download mode by holding the 1 and power button at the same time?
Take the battery out, put it back in after 1 minute.
Then make sure the battery is charged.
Turn it on by holding down the "1" key and power button.
If that doesn't work, it's probably bricked.
No, is really dead.
I doubt it is bricked. Charge up and enter dl mode. Odin should complete in less than 5 minutes. If it doesn't pass then reboot both your pc and phone before trying again. Also make sure you have the samsung drivers. If you are in windows 64 bit find a 32 bit machine.

I bought this case for my Nexus 4.
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Ionic-GUARDIAN-Armor-Nexus-Black/dp/B00A06Z41E
It's a right pain to put back together and remove, so was wondering if it's alright for me to leave my phone in the case to charge it? Or could it overheat?
just to confirm do you mean nomral charging or wireless charging? Unless you have some huge ballistic case you shouldnt have an issue with either. Cant click the link @ work sorry...
Normal charging. It's just taking the case on and off to charge, my phone keeps booting into recovery mode cuz the case presses all the keys
btw what does recovery mode do? i couldn't get out of it so pressed the power button and it rebooted into my phone.
Hello everyone,
First of all my problem. My nexus 7 is dead . the battery got too low as the charger was busted and it switched off and now its not turning on. I got the OEM nexus USB cable, OEM charger and have followed almost all the troubleshooting tips on this forum and elsewhere.
Now I dont know if the problem lies in the charging point or the battery.
My question to anyone who has the idea is that, IF i charge the battery in another Nexus 7, or with an external charger, will it work?
I want to fix this( i am in Nepal) and there is no way I can get a warranty in this. So I am in DIY mode
If the battery is dead and I cant boot into the bootloader anymore, is the above idea a possibility?
Thank you

Does it do anything when you first plug it in to charge?
As in does it start to show the charging screen and power off immediately? Does it start to boot then turn off?
Was having an issue with my wife's n7 where she let it discharge all the way to dead and would not take a charge or turn back on.
There is a trick you may be able to save it without doing much at all.
Plug it in to a wall charger and immediately, or as quickly as you can, hold power and volume down to try and get into recovery mode or bootloader. Needs to be almost instant.
If you can get into recovery or bootloader select power down (in bootloader use volume keys to navigate, power button to select).
Unplug the power cord and plug it right back in. You should hopefully see the charging battery screen.
Hope this helps.

I have already tried the above method. The good news is I went to a repair shop and asked them to charge the battery externally. My nexus did start. But it seems like I damaged the USB port somehow, so it is either a POGO pin charger or have to get the port frm smwhere..hmmm
Hi,
So I have this Hipstreet W7 tablet which was working fine until today. I plugged it in to charge after not using it for a few weeks, and it started up, booting to the desktop etc. After a while I unplugged the power cable, and since then I have been unable to get anything out of the tablet. It won't turn on, it won't display anything at all. I've left it charging, but it really should have shown some signs of life by now, even going by normal very low battery behaviour. I've tried sticking a pin in the RESET hole, but that doesn't seem to have made a difference either.
Is there any way to bring this tablet back to life?
Thanks!
