Hacking the JVC KW-NX7000

Hi Guys,
I would like to replace the factory navigation software with something like IGO because the map update frequency is just terrible. I don't even know yet if more update will ever come, last was december 2009.
It has a USB port at the back and navigation runs on Windows Automotive (CE).
Do you think it would be feasable to access the onboard Nand flash and copy all files? And maybe swap the Navigation software?
I was thinking to try with Activesync to read the flash. I also bought while back the navigation update and it includes the NK.ABS file, others are new map files.
I'm sure I'm not the only one in this seat, you are welcome to participate!

Hi Charles, I am also searching the web to find ways to 'work' with this system.
The windows logo at startup tells me that it should be do-able, but ....
I am not an expert in that field.
Did you have any luck since June?

So What happened anyone found a way to install new maps or play with windows on kw-nx7000:crying:?
Sorry for reviving an old thread but i cant find the info anywhere. Any info would be greatly appreciated

Android Head Unit - Display resolution ???

Hi,
I have a MTCD KD android head unit with the resolution 1024*600 but when I put the following factory settings password : hcttouch to display information about the touchscreen/calibration
I get only 800x480. To be accurate my unit display current information "90,0,800,480" (plz see the attached image)
Is it normal ?

I can't help with your question but I also have another resolution question. What is the refresh rate on these screens?
I have a DVB-T2 Freeview box and in the resolution settings it has 3 options for 1024x600. 25Hz, 50Hz or 60 Hz?
Does anyone know which one I should pick?

I couldn't tell you exactly what data that function is providing to you, but I will tell you that the touchscreen is actually a distinct part from the LCD.

Need help to choose an Head Unit

Can we make the unit work with "Remote Display". Not with Android or iPhone devices but something like this:

Split Screen

Hello, newcomer to this forum I post my first message.
I recently purchased a head unit with Android 9 for my vehicle ( HFCYJIA IPS Android 9.0 with SOC9835i, sorry I cannot post link as I'm new member and this not allowed by the site) .
I use the split screen function very regularly to display two applications in parallel. I would like to know if it is possible to configure Split screen as the Home Page with my two favorite applications (wecarguru and Ware). At each start I am currently forced to configure them manually to have them in split screen.

Hello, as there was no reply, i make a second trial. any suggestion ?
I ‘ve noticed that a solution to save last interface would be to make sure that the head unit is not switched off, even during parking. when restarting the vehicle, the last window setting in screen mode immediately pops up, however, it consumes electricity with risk of battery shortage so this is not Maybe someone may get some good hints.

Screen is total black, only backlight is turned on.
File 6523lcdconfig.cfg which I've got with firmware from seller caused this situation. Look at attached picture.
