Samsung J7 Prime crashes after moving apps to SD card - Samsung Galaxy J7 (2017) Questions & Answers

I moved Acrobat Reader app to SD card and my phone started crashing and restarting suddenly.
I had to uninstall the app to prevent that.
Any time i reinstalled the app, I had to uninstall it, because it kept restarting.
Tried with other apps that could be moved to the SD card, and the same happened.
I include logcat output as attachment.
Even if I install some app that can't be moved to SD card, (like I did at 13:54 in the log) my phone restarts until I uninstall it.
Tried reinstalling (clearing data and updating) Google Play Store and Google Play services, and nothing.
Even my phone suddenly crashes without doing none of the above, without any crashing app installed (like it did at 18:41 in log).
My questions are:
1) How to solve it?
2) Isn't moving apps to the SD card supported?
3) If factory reset is the only solution, then there is some way to automate it with script?
I have all my settings documented, but doing it manually is so annoying. Even if I do now, i would like the possibility of scripting or backuping them for the next time.

I factory reset, and sudden restarts were gone few days.
But today my phone suddenly restarted and I got a new error.
I attach logcat output.

[Q & A] Play Store Error - Couldn't install on USB storage or SD card

[Q] The Play Store gives me this error message when I try to install certain apps: "Couldn't install on USB storage or SD card." What can I do to install those apps?
[A] *After receiving the error message*
1) Go to your phone's Settings > Storage
2) Unmount SD Card (your external SD card)
3) Download/install from the app(s) from the Store again
4) Go back to Settings > Storage - then Mount your SD card again (or reboot)
5) Enjoy the app(s)
Background: I thought I was encountering some compatibility issue because the Note 3 was newly released and I had just acquired mine. I had also received the error when trying to update one of my apps. It is still not clear to me why it occurred and this is the only solution that fixed it for me.
Could be SD going bad, check LOST.DIR for any files, if anything there, it is already getting corrupted.
Checked, nothing in LOST.DIR

Not working for me can't install greenify donate pack from play store

Sounds to me like a ROM problem. I started experiencing that problem today when I install NV ROM for M8
The play store is an annoying piece of ******. I can install everything except Zooper Pro (RPC:S-3 error). Thus forcing me to use a cracked apk, simply because nothing else works!
Anyway, as for your errors. Tried deleting the data and cache on the Play Store and Google Play Services? Do you have enough space available?
sollution 2
here is some more info
it seems like it should be easy to fix fo google :/

Same problem. I've noticed the problem isn't the sd card, because i've changed it and could not install certain apps anyway.
I guess it's a rom problem. I'm on Blekota S5 v10 now, that's causing this issue. Yesterday I've flashed my rom stock backup, and every thing was ok.
Although if you are rooted first
1.)Unmount SD Card
2.)Download Link2SD it will requires root get it on play store for free
3.)Download your favorite app that get some errors
4.)Mount SD Card
5.)Put the app from external to SD using Link2SD
6.)Profit
Works
Thanks for the answer!
Just Backup and Format

Hi There... The problem with Unmounting and Mounting the SD Card is that since I have my music saved on my SD Card I have to choose a New Ringtone and all my Alarm tones all over again each time I do that... So I backed up all my Music to my Phones Memory, Formatted the SD Card and Voila... Now I don't have to keep Unmounting and Mounting the SD Card every time I want to update an App... more so I only had to go through the hassle of choosing the music once after the format... Hope this helps

[Q] Gallery App stays empty

I successfully rooted but the upgrade of the su binary (using superuser) failed and the stock recovery went into some kind of failsafe and wiped the phone.
I had recently made a backup using adb and restored that backup using adb.
I wasn't too happy with the result. It seemed to miss a bunch of my apps and settings that I had to manually bring back to the way I had it.
Additionally, I found that I had to re-uninstall/turn off the bloatware apps that I had done before the backup.
Other than those minor annoyances, everything else seemed to restore just fine except for the Gallery app.
Ever since the restore my gallery app shows no pictures or videos (not blank thumbnails, a lack of any albums at all). There are pictures on the internal memory and external SD card and it shows neither.
When I open the "Content to display" menu and hit "OK" it scans the memory for media for a while and when that completes gallery does display the albums of pictures that are stored in memory.
However, if i reboot the device or even leave the gallery app for a while and come back to it, all of the pictures and albums are missing again.
I have tried stopping the gallery app and clearing cache and data (as suggested in other threads).
I tried using a root enabled file explorer to delete the gallery data folders (both in /data/data/com.sec.android.gallery3d as well as in /sdcard/Android/data/com.sec.android.gallery3d) with the same result.
I have tried pulling all the images off the internal memory and putting them back (as suggested in another thread).
I have tried other gallery apps like F-Stop and it functions as you would expect.
All of this leads me to believe the problem is with Gallery app and not the storage of the images themselves.
A similar thread suggested that he solved it by formatting the storage. I'm willing to give that a try if it seems likely to work. But since it was a little bit of work to get everything correct again after the restore, I'd rather not if there is another way. (Plus, I'm not fully sure how to go about it).
Any advice? Thanks in advance.

[Q] Internal SD wiped clean, any way to restore?

I recently received my new S5, I rooted the phone, and also bought a 32gb external sd card. I realized that with KitKat 4.4.2, google has prevented apps from writing to the external SD card. I looked up workarounds to this problem and came to this:
trendblog.net/fix-kitkat-sd-card-write-restriction
I applied the fix to my phone, editing the platform.xml file, rebooted, and realized that my INTERNAL SD folder has now been wiped clean and is now empty. A lot of apps stopped working, including youtube, google, samsung keyboard etc, with the message "unfortunately <insert app name> has stopped". In particular, the MyScript Resource Manager constantly stops, and gives me that message. I am unable to go online either even though am able to connect to wireless and data networks.
I have tried different ways to solve the issue, including factory reset, and flashing stock rom, but my internal SD folder remains empty.
Does anyone have any idea how to solve this issue?
I've just had the exact thing happen. We're you able to fix?

How to decrypt Internal storage partition?

So I installed Elite ROM for my friend, after few days device randomly shutdown and factory resetted itself. It was impossible to get past introduction setup. I reflashed the ROM without initial setup option and got it to work.
Turns out the Internal storage got encrypted, Yalp store stopped working because the app couldn't write to storage. Same for browser downloads which don't work or camera photos, which can't be written into internal storage, etc, etc. How did it got encrypted and how to get rid of it? I tried formatting it with TWRP and it didn't mount. How else should I approach this? Maybe there's a fastboot command or something?
The device is usable since login information for apps persists but Play Store hardly works because it only install apps in the background after the screen is turned of for 5 minutes or so and only F-droid apps with privileged extension install normally.

sd card problem

Hi everyone,
I bought recently a sd card for my s5 g900f, a 32gb sd card produced by chinese company alfawise, it was pretty cheap so i decided to give it a try. Usually i store all my images and music files on my sd card, so i coppied all that to new sd and very soon i got a problem, it started with gallery freeze, the images could not be shown almost 3/5 times when i open gallery, same happens with music, but it does not happen all the time, i can sometimes open all images in gallery and all folders on the sd through the file manager regulary without any problems so i'm asking myself what's happening? Is the sd card broken or what? I will mention that i have done the cache wipe trough the TWRP and cleared cache and data of the gallery app, i even downloaded the third party gallery and the procces is still the same, sometimes i can open my images and music and sometimes i can not, it looks like it's frozen. What causes this?
