Hi guys I haven't been on this site for a long time but now I found my old S7 and I was installing TWRP, but when formatting the partitions I chose a wrong file system and now the cell phone just It stays on the TWRP splash screen and Odin is frozen on setup connection. Hey bro. I did everything you said but now the blue screen of "updating system" doesn't come out. So I flashed the BL separately but now it's just a blue "error" screen I did everything you said but now the blue screen of "updating system" doesn't come out. What does the error screen say?

Hello my friend. I finally got it. I just installed the bootloader separately, formatted the partition after installing the original system and then installed TWRP, added the decrypt file and then Magisk. After that install ViperOS and cell like new. Many thanks friend!

I think I just bricked this phone.

Posted this in the UPGRADING section but it may be better suited here, I'm not completely sure.
So I think I just bricked my dads vogue.
I followed the instructions in the HOW TO FLASH YOUR VOGUE thread as best as I could and now I'm in a rough position. He's been ranting about the WinMo OS almost since he got it and wanted to try Android so I tried to flash it.
What's going on:
Blank (black) screen
Backlight is on
Orange status(?) LED
Unresponsive to anything
Powering up yields a green status LED, one buzz of the vibration, call & end keys light up then it reverts to the above. Takes 1 or 2 seconds.
Plugging in the USB gives me "Found New Hardware: Data Interface" but I don't have the drivers or w/e is required to install it.
Any one able to help me? I figured this should be pretty straight forward but it's turning out to be a nightmare. :cries:
After you flash the android rom, you have to load a system image and data image into it. That may be normal.
Note, I have not flashed mine to Android, but it seemslike your missing the next step in the process.
This may help...
The bottom may help with the bricking and the top may help with android.

nope it isnt bricked just reflash windows and use android via haret...sounds kernel related
With advice from the other thread I'm in bootloader(?) mode
But that's as far as I got.

So I've gotten back to red/green/blue/white striped screen but nothing will read the phone/let me flash anything to it.

Ok then...you will need to flash another rom. Verizon, is a pain.
Here is NFSFANS ROM windows 6.5
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=432487
The files from this forum will contain a program called ROMUpdateUtility. Run that in boot mode. Then run NFSFANS verizon provisioning. all files are on that forum. Just remember...Your device is not bricked (as it sounds). You could brick it though. So be careful. You may wanna get advice from a Verizon User.

At this point, I'm throwing everything I think I know or understand out the window.
That said, can you walk me through the process starting at the bootload screen?

Yes, from a Sprint stand point though.
-download NFSFANS ROM
-Extract all the files from NFSFANS ROM to a new folder.
-Enter BootLoader
-Once it loads up plug your phone into your computer
-In your new folder there should be like 10 files...one of which say ROMUpdateUtility. Click and run that.
-Follow all the instructions on it.
-When it finishes...your phone will auto reboot.
-Once loaded up, Download Verizons Provesioning from NFSFANS ROM (you will find the link of the download towards the bottom of the first post NFSFAN has posted)
-Connect your phone to ur pc and put the Verizon Provesioning Cab on your sd card and install it.
-Restart your phone.
That should work.
Thanks a ton, I'm 35% into the RUU.
I'll keep everyone updated.

[Q] Google Rom on S4 boot problem

Hey guys
So I just received my BRAND NEW S4 (i9505), and decided to root/flash it almost out of the box. (Smart, huh?)
I did exactly what CURSED4EVA mention in the 2 videos on youtube about rooting and flashing. The only difference is, when I need to hit REEBOT NOW (after doing the zip, wipes etc), it asks me: "ROM may flash stock recovery on boot. Fix?"
(It doesn't ask HIM that in that video) - Can't link to him, but search: "cursed4eva Galaxy S4 google edition" - and it is the first video about flashing
I tried clicking yes, tried no, tried "avoiding it", tried restore backup and tried all that in both CWM and TWRP.
All in all I end up with the Google colors just looping and looping. Even tried flashing StockDroids Rom, just to see if it was helping.. but no, same problem.
So now I have a brand new phone, DEAD :good:
Any suggestions on what I am doing wrong? It is a i9505 from Denmark.
And and, sorry if this has already been answered. Just coudnt find it anywhere..
Thanks a bunch!

I did the exact same thing and had the same problem! I eventually got it sorted, turned out I forgot to turn on USB Debugging mode before installing CF-Auto-Root. I got stuck at the Nexus loading screen.
I am pretty new to this but thought I would save you the headache, - head over to samersh72's post on unbricking [here], follow the instructions, and you should be just fine, though you'll lose your root and be back at your original stock firmware!
If you need any more help feel free to reply

Dude, thanks man. Will have a look tonight. So basically follow the guide to get back to stock. And after, Awhen Cf auto rooting this time remember to turn on USB debugging mode, right?
Thanks again
well, went back to stock firmware with a perfectly fine phone.
remembered this time enable the usb debugging mode, but problem is still the same. Still stuck at the nexus boot colors.
When I hit reboot now in cwm, it first asks me:
"rom may flash stock recovery on boot. fix"
Then:
"root access possibly lost"

Does not work tried hoosing "no" to both questions
Even if I choose "go back" it's just going to ask next question.
So do I choose "no" to both AFTER a fresh stock firmware install? Maybe try that?

[Q] HELP PLEASE! Phone won't boot after rooting via ODIN. What is wrong?

Hi Guys!
I have a SM-N910C version of the Note 4, and tried rooting my phone via ODIN using the instructions at the galaxynote4root.com website.
I followed the instructions properly and downloaded the proper files, and ODIN showed the RESET! message on the upper left hand corner.
Unfortunately, my phone won't boot and shows a "PASS!" message in the box and "02:03" in the box below. Both are highlighted in green.
What seems to be the problem? Did I do something wrong?
Hoping for your advice as I want this to be resolved immediately.
Thank you.

Start Up Fail while installing rom

Ok guys I just recently rooted my first phone. All was well until I tried to install my first ROM. It seemed to be going fine until I got a Screen that said "start up fail" and in small red text at the top it said "Custom Binary Blocked By Secure Boot (Boot. img)" Here is a picture of the screen: http://imgur.com/a/DQ62P
Here is the link to the ROM: http://forum.xda-developers.com/verizon-s7-edge/development/stang5litre-edition-5-0-s7e-t3450208
Any Ideas on what I can do to fix this?

I had a similar occurrence while using FlashFire when I accidentally hit the EverRoot option. You'll have to put it into download mode and ODIN a stock ROM onto it. Then ROOT and upgrade as usual being careful not to hit the EverRoot. Hope it helps.

I never hit EverRoot and I've tried it twice now and still havent gotten it to work Could it be something to do with the firmware?
Hey man, sorry to hear about this, I'm not exactly sure your problem, but I guess I would start by re-flashing the ENG Boot for your device (via Odin) - assuming that's the root method you used (you can find it here if you haven't got it elsewhere) Otherwise you could flash your device's stock firmware via Odin and then you could try following this guide here for rooting, and retry everything, which is what I would recommend.
I used that guide for my brother's SM-G935V and it has worked "flawlessly", I haven't tried installing a ROM on it yet but it should work as long as the ROM itself works, - I say "flawlessly" because there are a few issues with rooting this phone, but you can easily work around all of them.
I would recommend explaining and detailing your problem as much as you possibly can, in this post and in future posts, so that you can get as much help as possible.. if you need any clarification on anything, let me know, and be careful, for your first phone experimenting ,there's a lot of sh** that can go wrong! Keep in mind that you can fix most problems by flashing your stock firmware with Odin if all else fails.
Best of luck to you, let me know how it goes.
