ChatGPT and Google Glass - Glass General

Since OpenAI ChatGPT is browser based, has anyone tried ChatGPT with it?
(With google own version of ai ChatGPT, maybe we could see the return of Google Glass. Reminds me of the Tony Stark Iron Man movies)

Google Project Glass. The future of advertisement.

1) Google Glass: possibilities of advertisement; basing adverstisement of what you see and geographically enable, taking advantage of streetview and visually as to what the user is seeing on the UI. For example, if a user walks by and views a McDonalds, a Google Goggles application will identify the image and instantly rely an advertisement to you.

I see where you are coming from and i agree. It would also be great for museums and what not to give you the information on the artwork without having to read a tile and what not.
It's a neat product for sure.
More thoughts are welcome. Discussion and relative views are encouraged!
I think it'll be used for those reality TV shows a lot.

Oh my, OP, Google isnt just all about ads, They do other stuff too.
2) I think most people don't realize this yet. There are some very neat things that can be done with Google Glass for the visually impaired. It could be used as a tool that will assist by using a combination of Google Goggles, and GPS to guide the visually impaired in ways that nothing else has really done...

Good point. We've already reached some of that. As in people looking down at their smartphone most of the time rather than socializing.
I don't know how you're supposed to be driving and wearing this thing at the same time. Will the DOT allow this on public roads? I mean... Imagine you're driving down I-95 S while wearing it and something pops up on the ride of the glasses. At the same time, a truck is trying to merge into your lane from the right. You didn't see it coming because your glasses prevented you from seeing that truck in your right-side mirror...
Imagine they make real time translation lang to lang in text or voice mod...
I hope thant when i walk or drive, I haven't my eyes full of advertising!!! Or i collise with other people or wall xD

The idea is not new, but being a big and supposedly not evil company behind it may success.
- The official video can create a lot of hype. But. You won't be able to perform most things they do there. It is expensive.
Will this eventually get better? Who knows. I guess this is an experiment, it may success or not.
- Btw, does exist already any kind indoor GPS like in the video?
- Could this eventually kill the phone as we know it (with the help of tablets)?
- Is it only for one eye? and no way to remove reality background? Not good for watching movies then.
- Input interfaces: I don't think voice commands can work when surround by crowd in the street. As someone said, work by blinking eyes? by moving head? by moving eyes? have a couple of buttons?
- Presbyopia. When we get older we have trouble watching our small phone screens. These glasses will naturally overcome this.
- Casual public social networking: See what radom people around you is thinking realtime (like Google Plus' "near you" but better), see their avatars. Have your GPS on 24/7 and drain your battery too, or use NFC if it helps. May a new p2p GPS network emerge, or ground GPS, who knows.
- Easy and fast NFC sharing is required, as you cannot just show your screen to your friend like you can do with phones.
I tried to say a few things as I thought them, probably all of the have been worked out already elsewhere.
Well, i believe and Google also says it at some places that it'll cause accidents.
Definitely you won't be using it while driving a car or walking across the street therefore it won't be local mostly professionals will be using it like sky divers, astronauts etc ..

Awesome points made there. This really makes you think.
Sounds Cool!
I happen to use a lot of coupons. Normally I'll look up the coupons at home for businesses I'll be around during the next day.
It would be fairly handy if eventually an app could be made for google glass that would pop up coupons/sales for places as I travel past them.
Luckily you'll be able to get a driverless car so that you don't crash while using your glasses
please everything except advertising, i wont wanna pay $1500 for adverts to be directly beamed into my face:silly:
Google will release their project glass...then get sued by Apple because apple just patented Google's invention. :banghead:
Adsense for Google Glass.. that's funny!

Shield games in Stereoscopic 3D via the MantaMod driver

Hi everyone,
Thanks for all your feedback from our earlier posts on the MantaMod driver release with dynamic texture replacement and unlocked free-camera capability.
Here's an update for the community that we've just released MantaMod v1.3 which features the ability to convert games to stereoscopic 3D. So if you have an Nvidia Shield, and will like to play Angry Birds or Dead Trigger on your 3D TV, in full stereoscopic 3D, you can now do so with the MantaMod driver.
As with other MantaMod features, there is no need to change the original game APK package at all, because MantaMod seamlessly handles all the 2D to 3D conversion at the graphics driver layer before drawing the images on screen.
If there's any particular game you'd like to try out in stereoscopic 3D, we'll be happy to support it, drop us a note to let us know.

Very interesting work!
I don't have much use for it, but I hope that you/your team will figure out lots of other cool things in the future! :good:
How about oculus support

We'll definitely be interested to do something with the Oculus Rift, but haven't had a chance to look into that possibility in detail so far.
Anyone know if the Oculus is going to be released running Android as a standalone device? Saw some news about that, though not definitive. If it is, it should be straightforward for us to get the MantaMod drivers running on it.

This is great cant wait to try it!
I love 3d movies, photos and gaming.
Will most games work in 3d or does it have to be supported by the driver?
Some games is like to see riptide 1 and 2, afterburner, maybe some emulators n64 or ps1(retroarch),FPse(psx), reicast(dreamcast) Doom GLES
Dead trigger gives me only yellow buggy screen.
Can you do more games in side by side mode? Or even emulators? This is great vor VR headsets like the dive!

I don't think PS1 emulators will work well in stereo 3D with the way the rendering works on the PS1.
There is no real z-depth like we know from most PC games.
This would work for the Google Cardboard right?
At Google I/O, they made a super-budget VR headset similar to the Dive, called Cardboard. This headset would work for MantaMod correct? And if so, which version of it, because I am confused as to how it would integrate with say Limelight for example. If this does work, with Limelight, with the Cardboard Dive-alternative, I'm going to suggest it to everybody I know. It would be great to see that happen. The Viiwok Deva HMD that looked pretty cool, was essentially a Dive headset too, but Cardboard is a real worthy addition to this mod if it works with any application.

where is be downloaded it has been taken off google market and aso no where on the net had links to the download as the links are all dead ?
hate it when good software is released and then it just disappears as though it never existed ?????
thanks

[Q] Multiplayer Games with nearby connections

Hey, has anyone seen a list of games that support nearby connections to play multiplayer on android tv? I searched for a while and came up short. The only one i've seen advertised is beach buggy blitz. If not, it'd be cool to get a list going.
Looks like the beach buggy game costs $4.99 if you want to use this feature. I've also found a game called pie noon. anyone else know of any others?

Multi player /split screen games?

I bought my Nexus Player primarily as an inexpensive game console for me and my 5 year old. I wish more Android games were compatible with Android TV, but my biggest issue is the lack games we can play together. I bought two controllers so we can play together, but except for Beach Buggy Racing, multi player seems to mean online only.
Can anyone recommend relatively simple games that work for multiple players, either split screen or "Sonic and Tails" type games?
Tennis motion cast, tricky titans
And angry birds family are the only ones i know. They are for using screen mirroing or conecting to chromecast. They dont have great graphics but they are multi player

How about one of the emulators out there (N64/Dreamcast), some of those games must be multi-player.

I've found most of the emulators don't support two controllers properly, which is annoying. There are two games that I play with my wife - Sky Force Anniversary (two players on screen at same time), and Beach Buggy Racing.
Another game (single player) I recommend whilst it's on sale is Castle of Illusion. It's a really nice simple platform game, but looks really good.

Mario Kart!
Bombsquad is my kids' favorite. Up to 8 player multiplayer.
Neon Shadow has split screen multiplayer. The OUYA version is oriented properly but doesn't work right on the Nexus Player ($#@$(@!!!), maybe you can figure it out.
Sideloaded games that they also love:
Farrah Rogue: Zero Hour (up to 4 player splitscreen)
Duck Game (up to 4 players)
Meltdown is another.
The OUYA was a failed Android console for gaming, and all games ported to it were intended for multiplayer.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=br.com.leeo.ouya&hl=en
Download this app from Google Play. You can get Farrah Rogue from it, as well as Neon Shadow (if you can get it working right -- it's a FPS) as well as Duck Game. Heroes of Loot, Killing Floor Calamity, Retro Racing, You Don't Know Jack, Ice Rage, Stalagflight, Hidden in Plain Sight... lots of others.
I'm not sure about many of them working for Nexus Player, but I do know some of them are available in Google Play.
Is lego Batman working with 2 gamepads?

Just picked a P40 Pro up

Hi everyone.
I know this thread is hardly alive with activity haha but picked up a P40 Pro this morning from CeX in the UK. Had some stuff to trade in like older games etc and managed to bag a black one for £190.
My main phone is a 12 Mini but bought this solely for the camera and to basically have a little tinker with. So no problem about no Google etc as I won’t be using this as my main phone.
Phone has some light scratches so hoping a screen protector and a case will cover it up nicely, but does anyone have any recommendations for a protector that doesn’t interfere with the fingerprint scanner?
Any overall tips for using the phone and getting the best from it?!
Cheers

I've stil got the original one that was pre-applied
Yes, get Gspace from Huawei's own app galley, or somewhere in here on xda, and use your favorite gms apps ad libitum. And enjoy the manual mode it allows really palpable adjustments thanks to the size of the RYYB sensors and the lens combo.
If you want to play some games, well you can, just download the Google games app and any of your liking, then, clone it in gspace, that way you can then download the play games app another time from the playstore, create a shortcut on your home screen and play your favorite games the way you left them on your previous device, all scores synced and so on... Cheers.
Or you can install GMS and use the phone without any restrictions ...
I agree, I installed GMS day 1 I had this device and its been amazing.
If anyone stumbles upon this, this is the guide I used. This way was a lot simpler than using the Googlefier method.
I should get my hands on a P40 Pro as a replacement for my Xiaomi Mi 9, which recently developed touchscreen issues.
Was looking for something good in the 300-400€ range used, almost went for a OnePlus Nord 2, but the P40 Pro just blows most of the competition out of the water in terms of specs
I'm also happy to have a bit of an experiment with a Google-free phone.
I basically only ever use my phone for webbrowsing, emails, messengers and maps, so the only thing I will have to replace is Google Maps.
Maps is working without GMS, but without login option.
WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram is working fine too.
Some of the bank apps doesn't work (can't pay thru NFC; you can use Curve or iCard for that), Android Auto also ...
If you install GMS, your phone will be fully functional.
