What is my head unit? - Android Head-Units

Hi! This feels like a stupid question, but poking around in the forum, I see there are FYT Android Head Units, MTCD, MTCB, etc, and I have no idea where to start looking for troubleshooting mine. So, here's what I know; if you all could help point me in the right direction so I make less of a fool of myself that would be awesome:
Bought the head unit from "IDoing" and they list it as a "Japanese-Brand" head unit for subaru. I read elsewhere on this site that they are re-branding something else.
When I try to install Android apps to it, the device shows up like this: sprd ums512_1h10_natv
CPU: UIS7862 Octa-Core 2.0 GHz 4GB Memory 64GB Storage
MCU 2021.04.26 15:40:55 PSTAR_53_L6315_G23P48F64_V:1.0
Android 10, Build number QP1A.190711.020
So, what do I have and where should I look for info on it?
The main issue I have is the mic not working. Bluetooth is finiky (suspecting an issue with Carlink) and wifi is unstable.
Thanks in advance, and apologies for the novice question.

Custom roms for XTRONS PSD50WRJL?

Hi guys, I'm sure there's something around somewhere but my google fu is currently letting me down.
I've recently bought a PSD50WRJL from XTRONS (Android 10 head unit shaped to fit some older Jeeps) has anyone seen any custom roms for this head unit?
Is it an MTCD type? Have a read through, its unlikely anyone can answer your question as xtrons are a reseller. Model numbers are mostly meaningless. Your MCU version will either reveal or provide a hint to who manufactured you unit, the type and if a custom ROM is available.
Don't panic, nearly everyone makes the mistake of thinking that the model number identifies the unit. Take some time to read up.

How can I tell what type it is?
I've also seen it called alps FF-5000
I've read further on MTC(B/C/D/E) and I'm not sure that this head unit fits any category. My MCU is: TS907.190518(W)
Hi I have the same headunit XTRONS PSD50WRJL. I'm using Erisin ES364 USB box with DAB Z APP but I'm encountering serious problems in hearing DAB stations .... Any idea ?

Autochips AC8259E (A53*8) ROM

Hi all,
I've been looking for an aftermarket headunit for my Mini Cooper S (year 2007), and found several on Ali. I'm particularly interested in the below unit:
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4001184671816.html
Questions:
1. I've been checking whether custom roms are available for the AutoChips chip series, but all I could find on xda are for RockChip. Will these work on the above unit (it comes with Android 10)
2. Could somebody recommend any other unit for a Mini Cooper S R56 (year 2007) with the silver CD and separate volume control that can be modified with a custom rom?
I asked the vendor to send me the MCU version and he sent me this, if it helps identify the unit:
CHIP: AUTOCHIPS AC8259E (A53*8)
MCU: HDBEC.200423
MEDIA: HC_v2.0.0_200311_000(v1.71)
BTV: BT.20.06.23.1430
Android: 10
Many thanks for any tips!
Regards,
Chris
Did you want Android auto or Android head units? Your post suggests Android head units and not AA.

I initially posted in head units but did not get any replies. After looking at other similar posts, people were suggesting to them to post in the "Android Auto" forum, so I posted there too
Sorry for any confusion...

I'm just looking for an android headunit for my Mini Coopers S R56 (year 2007) and there are many options to choose from, but all of them have "something missing". The best I could find is this 9" unit, but it doesnt have the commonly referred to RockChip chip or the MTCx MCU for which all custom roms in XDA are available.... I want a unit that I can upgrade with custom roms, and was looking for advice.
Again thanks for replying

Allwinner T8 8 core? Or is it?

I ordered this unit from China and am having a tough time deciding exactly what it is. Settings say it's a T3-P1. Aliexpress showed that if it's 8 core it is a T8. The thing that's confusing me is the MCU Version which shows "stm32-20190924-11-kc1-38" instead of the normal T8 that I've been seeing with the T8 units discussed on here. STM32 seems to be common in the Rockchip PX6 units? My processor is listed as sun8iw11 but everything I search on that comes up for quad core and the settings info shows it to have 8 cores.
I was hoping someone could help lessen the confusion I have with this unit. I believe it to be the T8, but the STM32 MCU version has me scratching my head as it doesn't seem to match any of the T8 MCU's that all seem to start with T8 I've read about on here. All I really want to do is get the development settings enabled, which seem to be missing completely as far as I can tell, so I can set a mock location app. Also on that note, the extra settings on this unit is hidden, you have to tap os version then kernel version 3 times and it never prompts for password. Root would be cool too, but I'm not very hopeful that it is possible on this unit, although, figuring out exactly what I have is the first step to any mods anyways.
I've included a couple pictures of the settings pages on the unit and one for the technical specs that were listed on the aliexpress page when unit was purchased. All help is appreciated!
Should be noted as well, tapping on Kernel version, OS version 3 times to access the hidden settings is something I found in a RockChip PX6 thread. It's weird, I almost feel like it has T8 hardware running PX6 software and MCU or something.

MTCD, MTCE of MTCB? (Root?)

Hi All,
I'm new to this forum, and new to Android too.
I bought an Android Auto Unit last week and it works great!
There are a few apps that i like to try on my unit, this is a Mekede M300, bought on AliExpress and it has Android 10 installed.
For using these apps, my device has to be rooted.
So i was looking for a way to root my device, but got stuck on my way trying to find out how to do this.
I don't know exactly in what category my unit belongs...... there are forum for MTCD, MTCE of MTCB, can someone explain to me what this means??
Maybe after that i can determine in what category my unit belongs.
Is someone also knows how to root my device, i would be very greatfull!
Thanks in advance!
A little late, but I ran across your topic now. You can find out what kind of unit is your by going into Settings, then into About like on any Android device.

BMW Android 7.1.1 PX3 Help

"Hello, one day when I turned on the car, the android screen was configured incorrectly, I even got ID5 when I had ID6.
I could configure almost everything but there is no way to make the aux output sound again, what box can I touch to make it sound again? I've tried almost everything and it's impossible
I also want to know if there is an update for the PX3 android 7.1.1 with the ID6 as it was before.
Thank you"
Is it possible to get the latest software for the PX3 with ID6? It is how the original screen came to me and I am not able to get it anywhere
Is it MTCD type device, post Android system information including MCU version.
