[Q] Email screen flash?

just wondering what people think about this - im finding whenever I open my email the screen flashes bright for half a second and then dims down. anyone know why this is? is it design? a glitch? power surge? is the brightness limited to save power? (if so where is the diagnostic setting to change it ?)
it does it even on full brightness.
just seems a little weird is all!
That's because of the Amoled-screen.
When displaying a bright white background, the power consumption of the AMOLED-screen goes through the roof. Therefore, whenever a large white area is detected, the screen brightness is automatically decreased.
It's not just in the EMail-application but always when the background is white.

[TIP] Battery Save

Hello guys,
To save battery thru screen use as much white background as possible cuz LCD Screen uses White pixel backlight and white will use less battery,, it's the complete opposite of amoled screen while they use black pixel.
To save battery more turn on gps but device only, cuz the Google play services (locations)
Use the wifi and network to share the location, so leave it at device only and the GPS will be offline until you use an app needs GPS
More tips I will share,
Thanks
this with lcd screen is bull****. only way to save battery on display is to set brightness down.
backlight for the whole screen makes the light, not the pixels itself like on amoled.
He actually is true but the effect is so low it doesn't matter.
To Display a black (or dark) image the LCD needs to block the backlight (which is always on) and this in fact requires more energy than letting the light pass and displaying a white screen.

Second screen pixels are On although i Turned the Second Screen Off

hi . i have v20 h990ds .
when i turned the second screen Off when main screen is On , in setting , the phone didn't show any thing (that is normal) but if i go to completely in dark room i can see that pixels of second screen electrically are On (black backlight can be seen without displaying anything). while i expect that when i set the (second screen being off when main screen is on) the power of second screen getting to off and don't use any battery .
when i press power button to turning off main screen , the second screen goes off at the same time as the main screen , completely.
can anybody tell me that is it occurs for you , please? is it normal when you turn second screen off the power of it (that can be realized in dark room) don't turned off?
That is completely normal. The second screen and main screen share the same backlight even when turned off you will still see some light bleed through the black pixels. They dont have separate backlights so it is still on behind the screen.
Hi! Well as many people don't know but Lg v20's main screen and the second screen are the same panel having a Cut around the left corner which make it feels like that Both displays are separate and also they make some kernel tweaks to make them virtually separate. So even you turn off the secondary display its backlight will still Remain on.
Thanks

Question about the screen and backlight

I got a S5e today, and suddenly noticed this weird screen: when I view it at front, it looks fine, but as soon as I turn my device to bigger view angle, about 30 degrees, the screen turns "blue-ish". Even I turned my screen to "night mode", or increase warm color in color setting, it still shows "blue" white when I view it from side.
Is it normal? Should I return the device and get a new one?

Ticwatch Pro 3 forced go into dimming mode when I turn my arm away or take it down

Hi Guys,
I have the Ticwatch Pro 3 and it's great.
But I have a little problem. I love Always on Display (AOD) and in some situations I also like to set the display not to go into dimming mode via StayLit Wear with the "indefinitely" mode. This also worked great with my Huawei Watch 2, even when I put my arm down on the home screen, even if you can see the time normally. If I set the "indefinitely" mode with the StayLit Wear app on the Ticwatch Pro 3, it works that the Ticwatch Pro 3 always remains active, but only if, for example, I have the settings open or I am in the app selection and if an app is open even if I put my arm down. It also works on the home screen when I have my arm up all the time and look at the clock. But as soon as I'm on the homescreen and I turn my arm away or take it down, the watch always goes into dimming mode, despite the "indefinitely" mode of StayLit Wear.
That could actually only be due to the fact that Mobvoi has specified this in some system file for Wear OS, right?
Can I possibly edit the specific system file, or do something via ADB Shell so that I can set it so that the Ticwatch Pro 3 does not go into dimming mode as soon as I turn the arm away or take it down so that it is only time-controlled again is when the display goes into dimming mode and is not forced to dim when I turn my arm away or take it down?
Possibly for better understanding:
So it works with my Huawei Watch 2.
However, with the Huawei it is also the case that the change to the dimming mode does not happen automatically when I turn my arm away or take it down, but it is purely based on the set time of seconds until the display in the AOD is dimmed.
With the Ticwatch, however, this is set somewhere in such a way that the display not only goes into dimming mode based on the set seconds, but also presumably controlled by a sensor, from a certain angle regardless of the set seconds, immediately goes into dimming mode.
And I want to get rid of the sensor, that the dimming mode is forced and my question is whether someone knows where I can do that.
Thank you in advance for your feedback.
