Needed help with a challenging head unit!! - Android Head-Units

Hello everyone,
I am new here, but I have been reading many topics from here which helped me a lot in my head unit.
Actually I have a head unit which is operating with a strange firmware. I couldn't find any support online for this firmware, you can see its code in the image below.

I am wondering how to update its firmware?
Another thing is that it says that the android is 12.1 which I do not believe. I will never believe that this head unit operates with Android 12.1. I am sure it's fake and the actual version is lower.
I couldn't find any firmware updates except for (XY Auto).. So can I update my firmware? to make it more fast, reliable and stable?
Thanks in advance.

Install Fake Device Test from the store and you will see it´s Android 8 possibly.
Making it faster? Unfortunately not with this CPU. It´s a quad core unit with only 2GB RAM, so don´t expect that much.
For getting more information of your unit type, search in this forum for your MCU. There are a lot of threads running for this unit.

[help needed]: What custom rom for my head unit please?

Hi there,
I bought a Calaoer head unit so that my wife could have access to all the comforts in our car.
But here it is, the beast runs on Android 10 and doesn't perform well with a lot of lags.
I read that there are two custom threads, one of which is called Hal9k and seems to be perfect for my use.
But here it is, I don't know if I can install it knowing that the processor is an Allwinner T3 P1, and that I have no way to know if I'm in MTCD or not (the settings screen doesn't give any info) so I'm handing it over entirely to you, you're my last chance somehow.
Thanks in advance for your help.

Other information
MCU is looking to be K2001Q
Your Allwinner T3 is already an older CPU and will never be a "speed beast".
If your unit has 1GB RAM, you won't improve much with a custom ROM. Simply not enough memory. You need 2GB or better.
Your T3 is not a MTCD/E unit and the HAL9K unit can't be used and neither the Malaysk. There are no custom roms for Android 10 for your unit as far as I know.

Thank you for the effectiveness of the answer even though I admit I was hoping for another one.
I do have a Head Unit with 2GB of RAM so I'll have to make do with it unless you want to counter-order.

Android Headunit issues, please help

Hi, not sure if anyone can help me, I have a unbranded android head unit and a couple days ago, the audio volume dropped on everything except the radio. It seems as if only lower frequencies are playing or as if it’s just at a low volume.
I am led to believe this is a software issue: not hard ware as the volume returns to normal when using the radio.
My subwoofer is connected and works normally. I’ve factory reset the Headunit but this has not solved it.
and so I am absolute noob and need pointers of where to go from here. I have attached 2 images of what info I think is needed to find what updates I need. I do not see any MTCD/E from the ‘MCU’ and I don’t know what updates are compatible. Thanks for any assistance.

Hi, thanks for your reply.
Is this the right ROM for my device.
I’ve searched everywhere and have even opened up the unit.
I found the MCU chip that begins with STM80

Android-Update? How?

Hello,
I have an Android-Head-Unit with Android 5.1.1 and would like to "lift" this level with a newer Android because of 2 important apps do not run any longer with 5.1.1
I am no expert in such things! Is there any way to do such an upgrade via usb-stick or downloaded file? I have WLAN and Bluetooth in the unit and can connect via router or BT.
I don't have any information from which company this unit is. (bought via Ebay)
All information I have is on the printscreens.

You are in the wrong subforum. This is an AC8227 unit. You need to be in the https://forum.xda-developers.com/f/android-head-units.4267/ Head units forum.
But even so: a 5.1 version? I guess you are in bad luck. Units this old are mostly not supported anymore.

Sorry - I saw "Head Units" // It is 5.1 - see the screenshots. And it is only 4 years old

I am sorry to say, but 4 years for there units is very old. Most units are supported for 1~2 years at the most.
I have requested the moderators to move your thread to the Head Units thread. There you will find several ac8227 related threads also, like "Collection of 8227l firmware (android vers:6-9)" and others.

Xtrons Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 IQ80A3AL ROM

Hi guys,
I’m new on this topic with Android head units. Today I freshly bought an Xtrons with 6GB Ram and the Snapdragon 665. I would like to mod the Rom. Which Rom can I use for this? Only find something for MTCD and so on.
Can you guys explain me what I have to look for? I think it is the IQ Version?
As far as I know I can’t use PXx Versions.
Thanks in advance!
There isn't anything
Can you tell me the reason for that? Is the unit to old or to fresh on market? Is the chipset not compatible?

I'm in the same situation as OP. Xtrons branded Snapdragon 665 based headunit, although I've managed to find apps to replace most of the built in features from Hal9K's ROM on my old PX5 based unit, I'd still prefer to have it rooted and more customisable.
Any info on when / if custom ROMS might start being developed on this platform? Thanks!

You should look in the right thread to find something.
Pumpkin is just a reseller and they buy radios around China from a lot of different manufactures.
This thread would be the right one to look into: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...n2-csn2_d-csn2_8600_d-android-8-9-10.3912413/
Just to make it clear: There are only some updates on your CSN2_D available, no different ROM.
The thread itself ix no longer supported by yuzo, so you need to read the first pages and really the last 10. Take care not to choose the wrong MCU or firmware.
