My cellphone suddenly turns off when taking pictures / recording videos. this happened two days ago and now it's getting worse, this cellphone is turning on and off more and more
And always have to plug in the charger
but when in recovery mode it never happened
When I searched for a solution on google,Everyone said that it was a hardware problem
Thanks to all who answered my questions
It is possible that the capacity of the battery has decreased. We do not know how you charge it and how often.
Taking photos/videos is energy intensive and revealed the weakness of the battery. Let's hope this is the only problem, because of course, another electronic component may have broken down.

yes sir, it has to be. the phone was made in 2019 and these batteries have to be at least 4 years old by now. I am sure replacing the battery will fix your issue. It's one hell of a headache to have a phone that turns itself off.
Try to call someone or better use other phone and call ur rn7. I bet it restart when ringing.
When its on charger it dont restart ?
I bet its battery.

Severe battery drain problem happening to my Galaxy 3 in recent days whatever ROM or kernel I use.
Still under warranty for 6 months +. So I given to Service Centre.
At first they just formatted and reloaded with DDJP2.
Then I argued to provide a new battery and convinced from my side that the battery is the culprit.
And wow, they convinced and promised me to give a new battery in next week as they are out of stock now.
But my doubt is...
The problem is as follows:
The cell fully charges, indicated that the battery is fully charged.
When I unplug the charger, the battery indicator comes immediately to zero from 100 within 2 minutes with minimal phone or data usage. And it automatically switches off.
If I switch it on again even without charging, it again shows 100% charge.
So the question is, Is it the damaged battery the culprit is? Or some motherboard problem or what?
I am unable to judge the problem!!!
As it is proved that the service centre people are real dumb Is it time to switching to newly announced Symbian or only Galaxy 3 sucks!!!
Had similar problem with my Nokia which made me switch to Galaxy 3 few months back
When i had that kinda problem with Nokia the battery was sort of swelled and was deformed here and there. So i was sure my battery's dead.
If your battery looks good as new then the problem is with the chip.
Same prob I m having.. U need to do sum cycles to get Ur battery wrkin fine as said by rob_gangte ..

Drain the battery completely. If it switches off by itself, try to switch on and repeat this until it is completely drained. Switch off ur mobile. Wipe battery stats in cwm. Do not switch on and charge it for atleast 2hrs. Then switch on and repeat this for few cycles
This has been happening to ur phone since u bought it or after previous flashing...
If after some recent flashing then u hav ur answer (revert back to eclair then reflash) !!!
My battery in the past few days has gone to ****. The same thing happened to a friend of mine's S3. I can be at 60%, then go to use the cam or send somebody a pic and the phone shuts off. It use to last all day. GPS is off no new software and friend had it start happening at the exact same time.
Buy a new battery, get your friend one to.

It will be good to know what kind of rom are you running and/or any other important spec, so you get a better answer than the one above.

I have to agree with Mr. Clown. If you want help you need to leave more information. It could be a software issue that is know and quickly solved. Does your friend have the same carrier? You may find that the phone is in between two masts and constantly changing from one to another.
Hope you resolve the issue.

To drop from 60% to zero is very unusual, normally because the battery no longer holds it's charge. If you give minimal information then you can only get minimal help...
Hello guys. Bought this phone from Amazon a week ago. From the first day It started having this ghost touches. The phone worked flawlessly if not connected to the charger. Although After the update MPJ24. 139-63 this Ghost Touches has been reduced a lot ( to 3 to 5 percent ), They still appear sometimes if I Zoom in on the photos or use touch for longer period of time ( but only when it's connected to a charger both normal and turbo ). Should I go for a return?
Use a stable voltage source. Like a socket with stable voltage or use a stabiliser/transformer.
For some users, using the full length of the cable, i.e., letting it loose and maximising distance of phone from charger worked.

Thanks a lot. Alright I will use the full length of the cable from next time. So this issue can only be reduced and cannot be eliminated completely, right?

I really don't know that, but I experienced it only once using a socket with fluctuating voltage. But never ever without it.

It can be reduced completely if you use a voltage stabilizer. It works. It happens due to wrong wiring of your house (as far as i noticed). For me if i use voltage stabilizer this doesn't happen a single time, you can use a power bank to test it. & Iv tested it in my friends home, so there it was not present. So i can confirm (from my experiment ) is a voltage flactuation issue.
This is an issue with the phone itself,i had the same issue.
Just go to service center and they will take at most 10 min to calibrate the screen after which the ghost touch issue will be fixed.

I hope you're right. I will try this at home. See if it fixes anything. It only happens when i connect my phone to a charger. Thanks for your feedback though.

Thanks for the feedback. But Lots of post on lenovo community are suggesting not to go for a repair. cause In their case the repair did not solve the issue but made it worse.

Don't know about that but in my case it went very smoothly they only till less than 10min and as i said they just calibrate the screen(using done software) they don't open your phone or something like that, So there is no chance that they will break other things....rest is up to you, or you can come here in the service center near my location

Sure :good:
This has been driving me nuts for ages, and now I just use the battery to transfer my phone from one charger to another! But to be honest I haven't tried anything to fix it as yet.
It started with my phone shutting down when I took a few photos - now, if my phone gets down to 80% I expect it to shutdown. It won't fire back up until I put it on charge.
Occasionally when I try to turn it back on, it wont fire up, and the blue LED comes on and stays on until I charge it or take the battery out.
Occasionally it will reach 50%, but that would be a rare occasion! I do still have the original battery, which is now over two years old.
It's a great phone - if only the battery would last longer than 10 minutes under use! It hasn't been rooted or anything - it is as I got it from new.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
TIA

A new battery is really cheap ( 15-25 usds) and probably would solve your problem.
There is no reason for this topic unless you have the original battery.

Your battery needs to be replaced..
Dial *#0228# this will reset the battery calibration. Charge it to 100%..
see if the problem still remains that means your battery is almost dead and expect a random shutdowns at anytime

I understand that the battery is probably past it's best, but it was the fact that it states that it has lots of life left, and then acts as if it doesn't that throws me. That's the reason why I have posted this topic.

I've done this now. Thanks for the tip. It doesn't seem to have made any difference though so it's probably just the battery.
I just expected it to indicate the correct battery level in the battery level indicator.
You live and learn! Thanks for the replies.

You sure its not just bad batteries? I didnt even try to buy a Samsung battery when I recently replaced mine... too many junk knockoffs/used/refurbs. I went with after market. Your issue sounds like a lot of the bad battery stories I read about though. I always charge a new battery with the phone off, and then run down to 1% or 2%. I never use fast charge either

i already bought new one yesterday . things are alright but still one issue : stop charging at 92% or 88%
Where are you getting your batteries, and how are you charging it when you get it? "New to you" batteries doesnt necessarily mean "brand new", and can still be junk
no it's original from Samsung store branch
you still havent told us how youre charging your new batteries
standard fast charger
Never mind, I give up. Im not going to beg for information. For someone who wants help, you sure dont want to be very specific with details that could help you. Im done trying to help you
